Thought it was time we had a new home, seeing as we've almost outgrown the old one. So in honour to Scorpio, Sybil, BB and toomuch (hope I didn't forget anyone ) here we are - in the company of pregnant (and cheerful) ladies

CD1 here today but I'm as it means we can start the IVF. Just about to ring the clinic and book in for my treatment! Suddenly this is all becoming very real!

Nomore, this cycle!! this is so exciting. I know it is a while until we find out but you are just going to have to live with our anticipation I'm afraid!

ready · 03/04/2008 17:59

Scorpio, hope all is well

Nomore, excellent news about the IVF starting this cycle for you? but you will have to explain to me why the whole thing takes 11 weeks?

Lottie have you listened to the cd yet? What did you think? I think I might have another listen to mine in a minute

Hobnobs, I have always been keen to try acupuncture? but keep putting it off. Not sure if I am scared of the needles ? I am going to try reflexology at the end of this month, we?ll see what she discovers

How is everyone doing?

nomoremagnolia · 03/04/2008 23:39

11 weeks is because we wait til cd21 of my cycle before anything really starts, then it's 3 weeks of drugs to shut down my system, 2 weeks of drugs to make me grow lots of eggs, one week for the actual egg collection and embryo transfer procedures and the the usual 2ww.

my bump pic on april thread

nomoremagnolia · 05/04/2008 14:18

Gilly Good to see you again Sorry about the job, it's pants when that happens. I'm about to go for a promotion at work too, I don't think I've got much chance but I'm going to give it a go! You'll be doing IUI at the same time as my IVF - that'll be really nice we'll be 'cycle buddies' (and btw I'm happy to get recommendations on books anytime!)
Right, onto pram wars - Ready and I went and played with prams yesterday [giggle] and we've both decided the bug is the best pram (well it was the best on in John Lewis anyway!) I really recommend going and playing with them all in the shop - they're big and bulky and heavy in real life!
Scorpio Hope you're ok - thinking of you
everyone else Hope you're all well

Scorpio's bump photo - took me ages to go through the april thread to find it so I'm saving you lot the bother :)

OP posts:
scorpio1 · 05/04/2008 19:50

yes, i am still pg

Feeling quite big and cumbersome today. Hope you are all well?

Ready · 06/04/2008 16:13

Still here Scorpio?

Nomore, can't see anything on that link... is it just me? ... good luck with the promotion

Gilly, we?ve missed you on here. Totally understand banning yourself at work, but perhaps a limit would be better than an outright ban
My cushion is a dark grey, I love all neutral colours ? it?s going to go on our bed when we change up from the woolly throws to the sheer (purely for decoration) summer throw. I am pleased you said that garter stitch is good to start with
Sorry to hear that you didn?t get shortlisted for that job. Hope there is something else out there that tickles your fancy
Not sure what to say about the family goings on, and not telling you about the pregnancy etc. Doesn?t seem the best thing to do ? surely a bit of gentle forewarning is better than being surprised with the birth details Hope you are ok?

As Nomore has said? we went and played with some prams in JohnLewis. It was great. I had said earlier that I liked the look of the silvercross ? well, the lady came over to demonstrate on a silvercross, and well, let?s just say it didn?t prove to open as easily as she said. The poor lady struggled with it for quite some time before it would open up for her ? the bug on the other hand ? Nomore had it off the stand, and switched the carrycot for the chair at the click of a button. Seperated the chassis and even had the wheels off at one point. So clearly the Bug not only looks the best, but is the best designed and engineered and user friendly ? So, to cut a long story short? I may have waivered, and tried to open my mind up to something other than the Bug, but I am firmly back in the Bug camp, and I am pretty sure that is where I will stay

How is everyone?

scorpio1 · 06/04/2008 16:34

oh yes....[groan]

Will link again, hang on.

scorpio1 · 06/04/2008 16:36

Ready · 06/04/2008 16:47

I guess it is different, having a baby growing inside you, and having them out there, demanding

scorpio1 · 06/04/2008 16:48

it's the getting out which is the least fun, lol!

PiggyPenguin · 06/04/2008 19:44

oh Scorpio that is a great picture, but it makes me feel huge! I have just shown it to dh and said, Is it just me or am I already that big? And he said, yes!

God lord I am having a baby hippo, and I still have 10 weeks to go! gulp.
