@Sez281 it still feels very surreal to me on one level. I do feel I'm bonding a bit with the baby and the pregnancy now but in other ways it feels completely unreal and like I'm play-acting or something. Every now and then I have to tell myself 'you really are pregnant' and it feels utterly bizarre!

Haha glad you don't have to argue against your OHs boy name then at least! Hopefully his taste in girl names will be more to your liking!!

@Jadeypie oh gosh that must be so frustrating! I hope your GP is helpful and is able to do more for you to sort things out once and for all!

xxcxdonxx · 05/04/2024 10:23

Morning everyone, how are you all?

Lovely news @Sez281 and @Supertrooper101 on your little girls! My SIL just found out she is having a girl too 💕

I’ve been lurking in the background a bit as after getting my bfn on Friday, I got a bfp on Saturday, couldn't believe it.
I’ve been testing daily since then 🫣 as I was so conscious of getting all excited just to be another chemical. I know there would be no judgment here but just didn’t want to get my hopes up. Anyway, I got quite a strong line this morning so I think I am passed the point of it being a chemical. I’ve called epau to get an appointment for next week hopefully too as if everything is progressing as it should then I would be on daily heparin injections due to this positive sticky blood result.
The thought of going back into epau and being told more bad news is honestly terrifying but just have to be hopeful that this one might work out xx

Sez281 · 05/04/2024 11:08

Oh @xxcxdonxx I can't believe it!! (Well I can as I knew it would happen soon!) Awww I'm thrilled for you! 🥰 I assume you're still on the progesterone? Did you start baby aspirin after ovulation? I wonder if that helped.. I'm so happy for you. Totally get the anxiety but we're all here to help each other along xx

SnookyPook · 05/04/2024 11:27

@xxcxdonxx oh what wonderful news! And absolutely get that it's early days and you've all kinds of complicated feelings but we are here for you and rooting for you! The fact they know about the sticky blood etc this time and you have a plan in place gives every chance for a different outcome. 💗 Sending all the good vibes your way to you and your little bean 💗💗💗

SnookyPook · 05/04/2024 11:49

@Paws4thought how are you doing lovely? Did your opks ever get any stronger or do you think your hormones are still a bit crazy? Pretty sure it was our @Hankthehonk who fell pregnant with little Rory during a mega cycle and she'd pretty much given up hope of a peak! Hope you're doing ok 💕

Paws4thought · 05/04/2024 13:38

@SnookyPook opk are negative and think my hormones are all over the place still, we've not been dtd cause I'm not in the mood either so hoping I get a positive opk or aunty flow soon. I know we're all in the same boat but I'm not excited to get pregnant anymore as if it goes wrong it'll just be starting all over again but yet I'm desperate to try.
@xxcxdonxx congratulations on your positive!
@Sez281 ah you can start picking names now! :)
@Jadeypie sorry to see your cycle has gone a bit haywire again

Westy22 · 05/04/2024 13:38

Ahhh this is exciting @xxcxdonxx 🙌💕 fingers crossed this is the one 💓 I know how nerve wracking it is but definitely take all the reassurance and scans you can get So happy for you x

Hope @Paws4thought @Jadeypie are all okay? Xx

SnookyPook · 05/04/2024 14:40

@Paws4thought yep I absolutely get that. I said to my hubby if it hadn't happened unexpectedly I probably wouldn't be pregnant again yet as I didn't feel mentally prepared to put myself out there again just yet. Once it happened I had no choice but to get on with things! It's exhausting though isn't it. Maybe just allow yourself this break with the aim of seeing when AF rocks up and only DTD if the mood takes you and.. whatever will be will be. 💕

Paws4thought · 05/04/2024 16:17

@SnookyPook it is really exhausting, seems to be all i think about, I also don't want to feel like I've missed any opportunities, I just find it sad that getting a positive test doesn't mean anything, so when it happens it's just waiting for it to go wrong again. Yeah, what will be will be x

Supertrooper101 · 05/04/2024 16:42

I could have wrote that about feeling like it isnt real and play roleing lol @Sez281 and @SnookyPook . Really sucks and we all know and feel the same that previous hurt does take the joy away so totally understandable @Paws4thought what your saying too.
@xxcxdonxx another stress ed to join the crew 🤣 congrats x was this the cycle you used pre seed for the first time too?
@Jadeypie any luck getting a gp appointment? Are there any support groups/forums for people whose on that medication so you can ask whats normal and what isnt. I wonder if the gp can re open the referral with it being within 6mths. You normally have a time period of 3 or 6mths where of anything goes wrong again you can see them straight away.
@Sez281 did you get your private scan booked or done?

xxcxdonxx · 05/04/2024 18:22

Thanks ladies 🥰 It's very early days so just need to see how I go over the next few weeks. Yes this month was smep, pre seed, progesterone and aspirin from 3dpo so somewhere in there something has worked out for now.
Feels a bit like lots of hurdles to get over, get a bfp, get past a chemical and then if I can make it past 6/7 weeks. Then a whole other set following that.
I really understand that feeling @Paws4thought , although the aim was a bfp, it wasn’t even excitement but more nerves as I know what’s to come. The whole thing is completely exhausting!

Paws4thought · 05/04/2024 19:01

@xxcxdonxx hopefully this one will go to plan for you! :)

JM1997 · 05/04/2024 19:08

@Sez281
I am new here!!
Can I join in with the conversation please??
I am 7dpo, and it is the first month of trying, and oh my goodness the symptom spotting I am doing!!
I am due on next week, fingers crossed for no period next week, but who knows! I have been having cramping at the start of this week, nausea in the mornings, extreme exhaustion, I feel like I keep forgetting things like yesterday morning I was getting ready for work and started putting my pyjamas on!!
I did a test though yesterday because I couldn’t help myself and it came out as negative, so I think I’ll be trying again next cycle!
How is everyone getting on??

JM1997 · 05/04/2024 19:13

@xxcxdonxx omg congratulations!!
Keep us updated as to how it goes!
Could I ask what symptoms started showing before you got the positive??

SnookyPook · 05/04/2024 21:45

@JM1997 welcome 😊 So, as you may gather from the title etc, us oldies on the thread all met up around this time last year due to sadly all having losses around this time of year. Since then we've got each other through lots of ups and downs. We've had 3 rainbow babies born to the group, a few more losses and thankfully recently a spate of BFPs which appear to be sticking too 🥰

In answer to your questions I'm currently 21+4 after 3 losses last year and this time I didn't have any symptoms before my BFP - I wasn't tracking that cycle as I was planning a break from it all when this little one decided to surprise me! Previous pregnancies, things I spotted in tww (always after 8dpo) included cramping, achey/heavy boobs, gassiness, increased appetite.

JM1997 · 05/04/2024 21:56

@SnookyPook thank you so much for taking the time to welcome me, and to give me a background of the group. I love that you’ve all supported one another through everything and that there have been successes!
Thank you for sharing your symptoms as well!
At the moment I’m 7dpo, but really trying to not symptom spot, but it is so hard, like tonight my boobs seem more inflated than normal, and I’m already unpicking why 😂

xxcxdonxx · 06/04/2024 07:52

Thanks @JM1997 and welcome 😊

Similar to snooky, I don’t think I really had any symptoms this time around. Nothing that made me feel certain I might get a bfp anyway. From both my successful and unsuccessful pregnancies I would say that symptoms vary so much. Sounds like you’ve only a few days left before you would be able to test anyway, I’ve normally seen a positive from 10/11dpo. Good luck!

Sez281 · 06/04/2024 08:17

Welcome @JM1997 I think @SnookyPook has explained it well. ( I can't believe we're almost at the year mark on this thread) Unfortunately it was losses that brought us all together😢. For some of us it's been a very long road of trying again since then and some people are still trying.
You could be really lucky first time but I would suggest maybe don't get your hopes up too much as I think for most healthy couples with no issues it can take up to a year. We've all been there with the symptom spotting too it really messes with your head! 🤯 Fingers crossed for you this cycle, not long to wait now!

@Supertrooper101 I'm booked in for a private one on Tuesday. I actually forgot to take my scan pic from the 12 week one so hopefully we'll get a good one this time 😂 Although obviously my nerves will be gone by then and all I really care about is that everything is going ok 🤞
How are you feeling? You must be getting a bit of a bump now? Maybe that'll make it feel real? 😂

@xxcxdonxx that's interesting, I know it was the progesterone for me but I definitely think that the conceive plus worked too 🤔 I think as others have said how that you know about the sticky blood thing and they'll monitor you there's every chance of it all being ok 🙏

@Paws4thought so sorry that you're still in limbo. I totally get what you mean too. It really messes with your head the happy/fear combo even when you do get good news😕

@Jadeypie I hope your messed up cycle has resolved itself, and if not that the doc has seen you or that there's a plan xx

@xxcxdonxx thank you so much for letting me know when you saw a positive. I have 3 days until I’m 11dpo. I’m trying so hard not to test and to put it to the back of my mind, but it is so bloody hard!!

JM1997 · 06/04/2024 09:01

@Sez281 I am so sorry that it was loses that brought you together but it really sounds like you’ve all supported each other through everything which I think is so lovely. Thank you for the insight as well, I’ll make sure I don’t get my hopes us as you like you said it could take up to a year! Fingers crossed it happens this year 🤞🏻Good luck with your private scan on Tuesday as well, let us know how it goes ☺️

Supertrooper101 · 06/04/2024 09:37

@JM1997 hellllooooo... sympton spotting is awesome isnt it and.......it never goes away lol i would say try and distract yourself but we all know on here that nothing really works lol
@Sez281 been a bit of a shitter week in the head as its a year this week i had the bad news then the procedure 🙁... havent been really sure how to process it tbh... but..... i know am not alone lol as if you forgot your picture 🤣... well under all the gas and bloating and extra stone ive put on, i think i felt a bump. Been checking every day for weeks waiting for it to 'pop' like google says 🤬 lol but when they listened in yesterday it was the place where i fort it felt it so must be moving on up lol am completley lost at how far you are or will be tuesday..... 13 or 14 ? Lol.hows the sickness now? Ive just got a really expensive relationship with rennie and fybogel still. Found bananas help too with the acid.... and the bowels, well, bloody leave em to it lol

SnookyPook · 06/04/2024 09:45

@Supertrooper101 oh bless you, well done for getting through it. My date is coming up (15th April) and it's been playing on my mind too. I've been feeling weirdly kind of superstitious about getting past it with this pregnancy still ok too if that makes sense?!

I'm driving myself mad at the mo longing for more movements. I'm sure I'm feeling them occasionally but not enough to completely put me at ease. Think I'm in a bit of a weird place mentally ATM and trying really hard to keep positive.

Jadeypie · 06/04/2024 09:51

@xxcxdonxx yayyyy congratulations I get the worry but I'm so happy for you!!

Well, I'm still on af! Spotted up till af was actually due then full blown, so now I'm actually on day 8 it's slowing down. It's more like old stuff, but yeh I think we can all agree I have another issue going on and I don't think it's the pcos! I've not managed to get an appointment, so I will try on Monday. I do have a follow up with the endocrinologist in may. But I think I need to have a good sit down with the gp and go over medication see if thes the right dose ect.

@Paws4thought I totally get that feeling because I feel like I cba anymore either!! But there is a part of me that's like don't give up but when is the time to give up and leave all the stress of it behind? I duno.

@JM1997 welcome to our lovely group! Best ladies around these lot! keep you sane when your being a ttc crank 🤣🤣 half way through the trenches of the tww your nearly there xx

JM1997 · 06/04/2024 09:55

@Supertrooper101 it really is isn’t it! I’m symptom spotting so much!! I’ll try and distract myself though!

JM1997 · 06/04/2024 10:00

@Jadeypie thank you so much! You all seem so lovely. Honestly it is like a waiting game waiting to test!! Thank you hun, I’m trying so hard to not test everyday!!
