Would anyone like to join me on the TTC for March 2024

Going into my 3rd month TTC for my rainbow baby after a loss in 2007 at 7 weeks, I'm now 34 (35 in June) and TTC for our first baby with me and my DH

The last 2 cycles my body has played horrible tricks on me, so i have been keeping a log of my symptoms.

I'm not ready to do opks or bbt just yet trying to do natural and less stressful but did have 21 day bloods and day 3 bloods done and the results come back good, i do have PCO cysts in my ovaries and my DH has good sperm he had this tested last year.

Hi,
Can I join you please?
I'm on CD3. TTC baby number 3. I had a late loss in January, I lost my little boy at 18 weeks. Its been very tough and I'm still in the grieving process, but would love to have baby 3. So not going to try too hard, but absolutely hoping for the best.
Fingers crossed for our rainbow babies.

Hi @Squirreljr28 Sure welcome to the March 2024 Train with hopefully a spinkle of some baby dust for us all.
Sorry to hear about your loss as well I deff know what that feels like as even now 17 years down the line I still have my grieving days, and I think sometimes I'll also be very nervous if I fall pregnant again as well

I hadn't realised we had so many similarities @UnicornPrincessSarah, I'm also third month, first baby, v similar age! Currently CD5 and Flo is predicting my fertile window also opens 8th March but I honestly don't understand where it gets half these guesses from 🤷‍♀️

Hey girls, can I join too please? 36 and just starting 4th cycle after an ectopic in October last year resulting in losing a tube and a MC a couple of months before that. Had a MMC at 12 weeks a couple.of years ago too. Apparently bloods all fine and no explanation other than just bad luck. Hoping we all get lucky very soon!
Besides the obvious (stop drinking alcohol, keep healthy etc), are you doing anything different? I know 4 months isn't a long time but it's longer than it's ever taken me before TTC and now worrying I'm just getting too old for all this especially as it seemed I get pregnant but just can't stay pregnant! ☹️

@YorkshirePeridot Ah that is interesting Did your body also play nasty tricks on you as well? I'm definitely not going to be reading into any symptoms going forward that for sure lol. I'm not sure if the apps try to look at all the cycles we input to work a date range pre mom app puts me at 9th - 15th, get baby app puts me 10th - 17th i have the same period date in all apps lol.

and welcome to the TTC march Train baby dust to you

@Custardcreammachine welcome to the TTC march Train baby dust to you for a better and positive March.

So sorry to hear about your issues deff sounds like you have been on a bit of a stressful and trying journey sending hugs

Im looking to do some private blood tests to see if I have Pcos or just PCO have asked nhs to do the tests but they won't and also do an AMH Blood test.

I Feel sad sometimes we may have left it too late to start trying as i didn't really want to be trying after the age of 40 so gives me 5 years hopefully for something to happen.

This month I took my supplements, ate pineapple and the core as supposed to be good for implantation, eat more fruit and exercised, used pre seed lube, and legs in air after every DTD for 10 mins lol. I don't drink alcohol or tea and coffee or smoke same for DH

Hey guys. I'm CD9 with the fertile period (according to the app) is 3-9 March and AF due on the 22nd. I'm on cycle 3 trying for number 2. My body has played loads of tricks on me too. This AF has been so odd, i had bad xramps arounf when implantation would be and a really full feeling then had spotting way earlier then really clotty so I'm thinking maybe a chemical but I'll never know as I do t test until AF is late.

Hi @Grace185 welcome to the TTC March Train sending baby dust to you

Your a bit further along them me as im Cycle day 1 today but like you body has played tricks on me i will actually post last month's symptoms so people can see
If you havent allready i really do suggest keeping a log so can look back and compare to show how body tricks us lol, like you i didnt test this month either as didnt want to risk it so we will never really know i suppose if it could be a early misscarage.

For me today MY Af has been more watery rather than thick and clotty like it normally is, last month to i had a 3 day bleed instead of my normal 5 so lets see what happens over the next few days lol.

so for anyone who is interested this is the tricks my body played with me this month

ovulation was 14/15 th Feb just waiting for my 21 day bloods to come back to confirm i deff did ovulate this month but had the pains on these 2 days and the ECWM

My belly had felt like i had done a big ab workout but i hadn't. Lower lumber pain, Feeling a bit sad and emotional that day but didnt cry. Bloated belly and also constipated, Tenderness in both boobs

19th Feb 4 or 5 DPO - Still constipated or having lack of bowel movement, Felt like i had a stitch or tight muscle in my left side of side waist and hip area in the front and back of my belly, and my chest feels tight like a rubberband is being pulled either side.

Thank you for this tread @UnicornPrincessSarah, I'm here again after last months cycle didn't work out. Like you guys I've had symptoms that arent normal for me as well last month but have also seen 9 negative tests (don't ask) and AF showed up 2 days early.

I'm 27, partner 36 and we're trying for baby #1. This will be the second cycle trying. I've grown up with the idea that I didn't want kids and that changed when I met my partner. I cant believe how much I want it now and how obsessed I've gotten.. But it also meant that i was always cautious about accidentally falling pregnant in previous relationships. I was under the impression that I'd only have to look at a guy to get pregnant so when it didn't work out last month i was shockingly surprised 🥲

Anyways I really hope this is our month and I'm looking forward to seeing many many positives here at the end of March! I'm on CD3 with cycles of around 29/30 days so will be ovulating around the 13th. I've tracked last month and will track again with ovulation tests to be able to compare. But I will NOT test early this month (please hold me accountable 🤣).

For our first cycle we've dtd every day in my fertile window (twice on ovulation day), but it obviously didn't work out. I think we're going to dtd every other day this cycle to see if it makes a difference, but initially i was scared that we would miss the egg in that case. Other than that I've been off caffeine and alcohol since last cycle and am concious of eating more veg, that's really as far as i think is reasonable to go at this stage of ttc.

Report
Custardcreammachine · 29/02/2024 22:16

@Ginny2018 same here!! I then worried I'd miss the actual window so we ended up dtd 11 days in a row to be sure we covered all bases haha. Still, AF seems to have started today so looks like it's been unsuccessful. Are you taking any prenatals? I got the 7 seas ones but can't say I've noticed much difference so far.

Ginny2018 · 29/02/2024 22:20

@Custardcreammachine hahaha my bf wouldn't normally complain about this schedule but he got a little suspicious when I initiated the 4th day in a row (i don't normally do that often) 🤣

I've read somewhere that doing it too often can lower the sperm quality but there doesn't seem to be any evidence for that.

I'm only taking folic acid since november as that's when we decided that february would be our first month of trying. If this cycle doesn't work out i will do some investigation to other vitamins tho!

I did see this interesting post on Reddit about the % off falling pregnant when trying

Not all eggs make it to the tube to meet the sperm, not all eggs in the tube accept a sperm, not all fertilized eggs develop into embryos, not all embryos implant, not all implanted embryos become fetuses, and not all fetuses become babies

Say you retrieve 12 eggs (which is an average amount for retrieval but also represents a year of ovulation)
Of these 12, 80% will be mature so for round numbers we will say 10, of those mature only about 80% will fertilize- so now we have 8, of those about 50% will become embryos- so now we have 4 and of those only about 50% will be genetically normal so now down to only 2 and genetically normal embryos have about a 65% chance of implanting (but still a risk of miscarriage) so you started with 12 and now you have ONE solid CHANCE at a baby which may still not work

Kind of scary when thinking about it that way there was a graph I saw on Google the odds of getting pregnant each month age 25 50%, age 30 20%, age 35 15%, age 40 10%
