CD1 entering 3rd month TTC (next fertile window 8th - 17th march)

Would anyone like to join me on the TTC for March 2024

Going into my 3rd month TTC for my rainbow baby after a loss in 2007 at 7 weeks, I'm now 34 (35 in June) and TTC for our first baby with me and my DH

The last 2 cycles my body has played horrible tricks on me, so i have been keeping a log of my symptoms.

I'm not ready to do opks or bbt just yet trying to do natural and less stressful but did have 21 day bloods and day 3 bloods done and the results come back good, i do have PCO cysts in my ovaries and my DH has good sperm he had this tested last year.

@UnicornPrincessSarah were normally two-three times a month so this is a lot for us too. But fingers crossed we can get there and it’s not nice putting pressure on things

hope you are all doing ok. My period seems to have stopped even though it really wasn’t anything this month after MC. Going to test to see if I ovulate and just enjoy dtd.

@Emilyx00 all good here on CD4, period stopped late last night so time to start dtd as we dont track using opks or bbt etc- had the same thing as you @UnicornPrincessSarah where my period is normally 5 days but only been 3 days for the last 2 cycles! So weird, they've never been this short!

I'm waiting on my period now, just want it to hurry up! Due Weds. TTC #2 and although it hasn't been that long I'm getting impatient already and worried we've left it too long (#1 is 5...). Comforting to see other people on the journey and BFPs!

I’m on CD5 and I use flo and premom both have me ovulating different times flo 14th March, premom on 8th march’s did a LH test today and it was 0.01. So will just go with it this month and see what happens.

@MelonSmoothie Same! I’m waiting for AF too. App says it’s due today but I gather it’ll be due one day this week. Had a tiny little few dots of spotting today when wiping so hopefully shouldn’t be too much longer. My youngest is nearly 5 too!

Ah hope it comes soon @Emilyx00 .. I feel so ridiculous wishing time away 😞

@MelonSmoothie i’m not going to track this month, I’m just going to focus on losing some weight and getting some sleep! I’m not forcing sex, if we have sex we do , if we don’t we don’t. I just need to relax from being so obsessed with it because I’m missing out on time with my current DC not planning anything etc in case I get pregnant! I’ll start TTC again properly in April x

That's such a good idea - I'll need to do the same in a few months I think as I know I've been distracted and I don't want to waste a second with my child worrying about one that doesn't even exist yet. It's hard not to though.

Honestly we are struggling with the scheduled sex, we can't get in the mood at all (more me than my husband to be fair but it just feels so transactional) so we might do two more months max then give it a break. Also I can't be buying 8 pregnancy tests a month I'll be bankrupt 🙈

But honestly how do people even forget about it and relax really once you know it's what you want? I don't know that I've got the self control 🥴

Also I did a load of "last hurrah" eating and drinking at Christmas / Jan so need to shift a stone to be at the weight I was when I got pregnant the first time.....

@Rosyposy26 Sorry to hear you had a weird period cycle i also had a weird one that was more watery and clots again but bled for 3 days then 1 day with no bleed then spotting today so very strange.
Snap im also 5dpo today to flow has me down to ovulate 12th March fertile 8th - 14th march, pre mom down to ovulate 14th march with fertile window 10th - 15th march it is strange how they vary when both have the same data put in them

@icallshade Yeah normally I have 4 days of bleed then 5th day of some random spotting. I'm at the fertility clinic Friday going to speak to them about the new 3 day bleeds

As you are like me and not tracking OPK or BBT what is your DTD schedule for you? we are looking at every 3 days from when the period ends to hopefully every 2 days in the fertile window then back to every 3 and stopping a few days before the period is due, last year we did every 3 days for the whole cycle month.

@UnicornPrincessSarah its so strange but I’m hoping will sort itself out. I seem to have a high drive so we just do it most of the time 😂

I've had a strange menstruation: more blood (mostly brown though, not really bright red) and more cramps in my very low abdomen than usual. I have had an IUD (copper, non-hormonal) for 6 years and had it taken out in November. While I had it, my period was always hell: cramps, 5 days of heavy bleeds, back pains etc. As soon as it was out, all of that disappeared and for 3 cycles I've barely even noticed my period. So I was kind of surprised when this cycle hit me hard again, and now I'm wondering if maybe my body needed time to get used to it? Back in november my doctor said that wouldn't be the case, as the contraception I had was non-hormonal, so no adjusting time.. I also suddenly have to get up every night twice to go to the bathroom, which is not like me at all. Does anyone have something similar to share?

Regarding TTC: period is over now, I'm on CD8, and my app predicts ovulation on the 13th, fertile window starting Friday. I'm leaning towards not testing for ovulation at all this month and just going with the flow regarding sex. Mostly because of the pressure it caused me last month to test for ovulation twice a day for a week.

Started spotting today which is the beginning of AF I think so on to the next! Around 16th March I think, going to be a tricky one as we have people staying.

If anyone uses Flo app or similar, do you log a day with a bit of spotting as day 1 of your period or wait til you're properly bleeding?

@MelonSmoothie I wait until the next day. I started spotting yesterday but today is CD1 as it’s full flow x

Thanks @Emilyx00 .. this is slightly off from where Flo predicted (Thursday) so I'm wondering if my ovulation prediction was off as well...

Just catching up with the thread and totally agree with those saying that they will just go with the flow this month. I'm feeling like that too. Going to focus on trying to shift some weight and feel better mentally and hopefully the rest will happen itself! So hard when you're used to focusing on that teeny window of opportunity though!!

Yeah @Emilyx00 ... I'm thinking of getting the actual tests this cycle - more accurate maybe?

I get so confused with the tests. I tested first thing this morning it said 0.11 low then I did it again 30 mins later and it went up to 0.33. I will test when I get home as it says test twice a day. I was comparing to last month and my reading was higher at this point than last month. I might try the clear blue one. It just go with it.

I'm thinking clear blue as well @Rosyposy26 ... Digital so I can't mess it up 😂

Yeah and also you only have to test once a day. I still don’t get how a camera and app can pick up the slight colour change in the lines.
