@Panda101x yea tell me about it, life been abit stressful recently but we took abit of a break from the fertility journey as my partner got access through court to his two daughters so we've been focusing on building a bond there.. my partner thinks he had a mental block with him in the sense of me bonding with the girls before he would be able to extend the family with me.. I do understand it but it's almost feeling like a year was wasted but we are where we are.. starting 2025 fully committed to both the girls and starting our own family and extending our business.. trying to make 2025 our year for sure..
How's things been with you? X

Bless you. If that helps him and you it might mentally make the difference and be what was missing for when you do try again x
were still on this stressful journey. It yet again didn’t work out so I’ve had to take a lot of time to recover and get my cycles back. Hopefully in the new year we can start our ivf as nhs have granted it now which was amazing and that starts in feb x

fingers crossed for you lovely x

shoegirl36 · 16/12/2024 15:38

Yes I hope so but at the moment I've had to request a second referral to a gynaecologist subfertility clinic but been told I'm too fat yet again.. oh I'm so sorry to hear that, take all the time you need to make sure you're back to your full power self.. it's a blessing in a way you have been granted the ivf so it's almost like another option, that's one I've been told won't be available to me on the nhs and I certainly can't afford to go private so it's slightly gutting for us.. just one day at a time that's all we can do..
Plus this cycle is absolutely whack for me so I'm about 20 days late with huge negative tests and no sign of period at all.. thought I may have a little Christmas and birthday miracle but not the case x

Can’t believe there still saying the weight thing it’s ridiculous. And I’m guessing nhs ivf is a no as partner has children. It’s such a … rule. And Thankyou definitely needed that time to recover. mentally had to take some of the nursery apart and putting it back into a craft room as couldn’t bare looking at it all as was so close. Me and you are going to get there I just no it as we’re good souls x keep going love and have a smashing Xmas.

shoegirl36 · 18/12/2024 11:20

@Panda101x yes between my weight and his two daughters it's a firm no at the moment.. and that's what my partner keeps saying we're too good people for it not to happen for us it's just the timing isn't right yet blah blah lol.. my weight went from 15stone 9pounds to 12st 13pounds and they're saying that still isn't good enough.. just going to enjoy my birthday and Christmas this month and then focus again in the new year, almost hit a reset and refocus button on January 1st. I wish you both a merry Christmas, I hope you're able to make loads of happy memories as a couple then as a family in good time ☺️

Checking in to see how ur doing hun x

shoegirl36 · 21/02/2025 12:39

@Panda101x hey hun. Hope you're well. Been a lot going on here at the moment. So we had Christmas and new year and we focused on building a bond with my step kids. Then in January I got a call from a fertility clinic saying that we'd been accepted at patients together however we do not qualify for funding for treatment on the nhs but we knew this already. I also purchased a Mira monitor at the same time to see what my hormones were doing daily and thought I could give this to the doctor to be helpful. In the clinic we qualify for investigation so we both last Monday had blood tests done, I had an internal ultrasound and my partner had his semen analysis. We are going for the results this Monday coming. I did take the opportunity at my ultrasound to ask if I'd ovulated and the tech said I have 100% ovulated and she pointed out a corpus luteum and she said I had another two dominant follicles. Considering I wasn't sure if ovulated I took this as amazing news, and it also means I trust the mira data as it did tell my id ovulated which for a pcos girlie was amazing. Not really expecting bad news on Monday but at the same time if it's not bad news then there's nothing to fix and then I'm even more confused why it isn't happening for us.

How are you girlie? Did you enjoy the turn of the year? I know it mustn't have been how you thought it would be :)

Panda101x · 21/02/2025 12:45

@shoegirl36 ooooh that’s good to know u ovulate and trust the data. I may look into them then as I never know to trust the social media ads etc. so partners analysis hasn’t got worse but not any better. And my results still look good. Good scans. I had everything re done to make sure I’d recovered and all was ok in there still.

plan is as I’m still very much cut up and feel depressed to just give me time but I have peace knowing that I’m ok still. I’m now not monitoring anything currrently no LH strips or temp monitoring etc. just d2d when we feel we want to. Pressure gone so I can concentrate on my mental health. As I just feel I’m probs to upset in my nervous system to work at moment anyways.

I really hope the results come up ok and I totally get what u mean. The confusion is real ! Xx

@Panda101x I'll be honest I was getting more and more down and in my head about the not knowing and I spoke with my partner and he said right 2025 is the year we make it happen. He has given up all alcohol, cigarettes and basically his social life and I said that's amazing but I want to see physical proof of what's happening. I'd used clearblue ovulation strips and also what people call cheapies but hadn't been successful. Then came across an ad for Mira and was like why not, I literally said it's £250 plus strip prices but it's also cheaper than IVF if it works. If and when you feel ready for focusing on hormones etc I definitely would recommend Mira Fertility Max if you can afford it. It settled my mind hugely, it took all the guesswork out of my testing and my period actually arrived exactly 14 days after Mira said I ovulated. And you only need to test once a day which is even better. Take your time and just get back to you, I know that's the most annoying thing because I think it when people say anything about timing to me. Always here if you need an ear or to vent or to just chat absolute rubbish.

That’s amazing he did all that. My partner is the same both our hormonal blood works panels all came back fine also which was good maybe that’s the tests you’ve just done. I’ve had them checked three times now for that clarity IVF was accepted to start this month but I chose to push it back another two to give me more time mentally and body to settle as maybe it needs more time still I felt that was the right thing to do. £250 is much cheaper and if it works and gives that postive mindset that may help more than you realise and be the missing peace.

and yes- I hate it when people talk about timings and oh next time etc etc all them stupid sentences that don’t help x

we’re both going to get there and I cannot wait for us to both be able to share our little bundle news.

shoegirl36 · 21/02/2025 13:23

@Panda101x it's wonderful we both have such supportive partners. I don't doubt we'll get there but when it does happen it'll be one special baby. You literally are the person I speak the most to and the person who understands the whole situation and can't give an honest opinion. I really appreciate you x
