1 DPO TTC 1st - company for the TWW?

Hi all, my partner and I have been trying for a while with no success (+1 year). About to start fertility tests. I am on cycle day 16 and had a positive ovulation (LH surge) test 2 days ago so think i'm 1 DPO. DTD yesterday and two and three days before test. Hoping this will be the month.

We've also both started taking pre conception vitamins, which includes vit D and folic acid for me. I really struggle with sympton spotting and i'm going to try and relax this month.

Would love to connect with some people in the same spot/keep us all sane during the TWW!

@tryforbabynumber2 I think I would be happy but equally kicking myself for making a stupid decision. We have a nice comfortable lifestyle right now and I don’t know how that will change plus throwing another child into the mix seems selfish now!! But technically conceiving before we knew takes away some of the guilt 😶

I just want to know either way 😂

So am 12dpo don’t usually get to this point as always get continuous spotting which than goes to flow. So that’s positive, had a little brown discharge earlier so again praying that it isn’t a sign my AF on the way. Breast still a little sore and nausea mostly gone but a little there still. My appetite is short but might be due to sore throat and blocked nose and just feeling rundown in myself. Haven’t test yet, trying to hold off and give it another day before testing. Have wanted to test but going to try and hold off. Find this whole wait and see makes me anxious as you want it so much.

@shoto2024 also feeling run down here with sore throat and really tired. There are lots of illnesses going round at the moment but I also know some people get feeling run down as a symptom! I managed to avoid testing this morning, going to try and wait it out now as seeing the negative tests is more upsetting than just getting my period.

Yea I agree about not testing because of seeming negative test. Which is why I haven’t tested yet. Though just finding this whole wait making me so anxious, going to bathroom a lot to check. Not helped that am a teacher and it’s half term and I not got lot to keep my occupied

@Chairwoman what rubbish timing. Well fingers crossed for you - these things always tend to work out! That is one part i'm struggling with though, having to sacrifice my career development for at least a couple of years!

@tryforbabynumber2 haha i know, i guess it just makes it very real either way if i test and with everything that can go wrong so early it makes me nervous getting my hopes up!! How are you feeling this morning?

@CatmumTTC how are you this morning, any futher symptoms? I've been feeling nauseous the last couple of days but it seems to have gone this morning... so who knows what that was then! Would thursday be 14 DPO?

@shoto2024 ah i bet that is difficult! Definitely easier to keep occupied working/ out and about!! If AF was due yesterday maybe it's time for a test? Get to the bottom of that spotting!! baby dust to you, let us know xx

I caved and did 2 test both bfn, a strip and boots supposedly earlier detection. Am only 12 dpo so might just be too earlier. Will test again tomorrow

@Hannahttcjourney Feeling nauseous this morning with sore boobs! Thought I saw faint lines last night so tested again this morning and look negative 😩 I seem to get better results testing in the PM though rather than FMU for some reason? So might retest later (told you, POAS addict 🙊). How are you? Xxx

Here's today's cheapie and OPK. My OPK is darker since yesterday which is strange as I'm due my period in 4 days. Thoughts?? Xxx

I looked at my boots again test and do think there maybe a very very faint line, I used them before and never seen a line on them. I maybe wrong shame I brought only one, think another boots run is in order. I also have a clearblue digital but saving it for when am certain. I had no further spotting or anything. I never get to this point. Not in my last 3 cycles have I made it this many days after ovulation. Though I maybe out by a day. Think am 12 dpo as that what premom says where as flo say 11 Dpo and as I don't do BBT Tracking don't have ovulation confirmed, just my peak on LH Stripes and clearblue static smile

@tryforbabynumber2 don’t go off OPK, a lot of women get a little bit more LH just before period. I do with mine. Thé Line has to be super dark before it indicates anything. Good luck and baby dust for your positive ❤️

I now think the nausea i've had the last few days was because i've been taking folic acid.. didn't take it yesterday and didn't feel sick later in the day, and haven't taken it today and have had no sickness... also i took a few days of that pregnacare preconception which supposedly messes up cycles (and i ovulated a day late, "day 15". So i think i'm out and this is why i feel funky this month! how annoying

weird the folic acid is making me nauseous but apparently it's one of the side effects!

bless you!! i wish there was a way our bodies could just tell us, a sure fire symptom as soon as implanation happens 😂xx

maybe time to go buy a couple of different tests? i see a lot on here that many people don't get a positive till 14 DPO though!

I brought a couple more of the boots test, I still got 3 stripes test and I have clearblue digital weeks test as well. Yeah true about 14 dpo, as they say not out till AF comes. Think am either 11pm or 12 dpo depending on which app I look at. Just had a wave of nausea, so I do think my progesterone is up. Plus if yesterday was implantation bleeding they do say a couples days before testing.

Wouldn't that be great?! I was saying this to my OH earlier and he was like 'it would be great if your hair just turned green or something' 😂If only!!

You’d think we’d have a bit more of universal tell tale sign for sure 😂 xx

@shoto2024 @tryforbabynumber2 i feel like I’m not testing because I just don’t want to deal with the disappointment, especially knowing some people see a faint line quite soon. Stark white BFN or spotting before AF rears her head!

Well ladies looks like I might be out. Thought I had some squinted VVVFL earlier but just been to the toilet and had a small amount of blood streaked CM (sorry tmi). So looks like AF might be on the way xx

Think I maybe out myself, had more brown with a little pink again this morning. Took another boots test this morning definitely bfn and compared with yesterday test, definitely see a very very faint little on it compared to one today. So definitely think am out this cycle though AF not shown yet
