1 DPO TTC 1st - company for the TWW?

Hi all, my partner and I have been trying for a while with no success (+1 year). About to start fertility tests. I am on cycle day 16 and had a positive ovulation (LH surge) test 2 days ago so think i'm 1 DPO. DTD yesterday and two and three days before test. Hoping this will be the month.

We've also both started taking pre conception vitamins, which includes vit D and folic acid for me. I really struggle with sympton spotting and i'm going to try and relax this month.

Would love to connect with some people in the same spot/keep us all sane during the TWW!

Hello! Hope you don’t mind me joining? I’m a bit behind though! Didn’t use OPKs this month as I’ve been ttc for 3 months but this is my first month ovulating so didn’t want to waste money! I have been BBT’ing so looks like I’m 3 DPO maybe 2? Just waiting for it to be confirmed! We only managed to DTD once 4 days before, as the cycle was going on a bit and we’d given up on SMEP! Anyways not very optimistic, but here I am!

@Peonies94 welcome!! its a toughy isn't it, in theory once should be enough but hasn't worked that way for most of us on here! fingers crossed for you though :)

How is everyone feeling today?? I am i think about 6 DPO so implantation could be happening from now onwards? I just don't feel anything, so really think i'm out this month :( I at least feel like my boobs should be a bit sore or even some mood swings would be nice. I keep noticing every single twinge but tbh I think that is just normal bodily functions at work!!

6 dpo myself I believe, had some cramps yesterday and today particularly left side and maybe slight sore breast. I tend to get sore breast before AF and cramping but cramping is normally a day or so before not 5/6 days. Trying to stay hopeful this cycle. The cramping could just be my bladder issues that causes me pain which is what happened on Sunday, but this was different. Like pulling/pinching. Who knows might be just over thinking it too be honest. Trying to stay patient and also not test earlier either. Keep telling myself if I don't get my AF on Monday I can

@Hannahttcjourney you really should not feel anything yet. Tbh the earliest implantation happens is day 7 and that’s only for a tiny percentage of people. Even then your body still has to then make enough hormones to feel anything. Many people don’t get any symptoms until 6-8 weeks. Remember you can’t feel pregnant if implantation has not happened because you are not until it does.

the TWW is so so long. I’m on day 13 now and die AF in the morning 😅

im terrible for testing early and usually start testing from about 9/10DPO! I try and wait until 10 but usually cave early! I’m 4DPO atm!

Somewhere between 6 and 8DPO now. Not noticed many symptoms but I've been so busy with work this week (a nice distraction). Did have some early morning nausea yesterday where gagged a few times (unusual for me) but it quickly went away. Body was probably just unhappy about having to get up for work at 5am!!

@shoto2024 @CatmumTTC think we're pretty much the same DPO. Hard to keep track but I guess i'm about 8 DPO? I have actually been feeling a bit out of sorts the last couple of days. Feel like i have very mild cramping (but again can't tell if this is in my head or just super fixating on every tiny twinge!), mood swings and feel a bit sick this morning. Can't say that it also isn't just in my head though / usual PMS symptoms, and because I haven't eaten yet. And maybe i just have a dodgy stomach haha. So so so hard not to symptom spot.

@Duckgirl second @Peonies94 any sight of AF?

i did also wonder about implantation bleeding/cramps? is it possible to get implantation without either? I feel like for all of us who are hyper sensitive and watching for any changes that we would /should feel something? When you read things online it makes it sound like implanation bleeding happens to most people!

Yea 8 dpo, definitely trying not to over think it. Keep thinking I got slightly sore breast which I know is one of my PMS signs, but not sure as it's not nearly as noticeable as usually. Had cramps on 5dpo and 6dpo. Though cramps on 6dpo were odd a lot lower, rather than stomach area on vagina area. No cramps yesterday apart from the discomfort I suffer from my bladder condition as in a flare up of my symptoms of that, which isn't helpful as is around where I get cramps. Have felt a bit off, but could just be the PMS.

Implantation bleeding doesn't happen for most people, just some. Think I will have more of sense of whether am due AF tomorrow and Sunday as last cycle I got cramps on the Monday afternoon, Af arrived on Wednesday afternoon. If I don't get cramps than could be a sign that the cramps I had at around 5dpo/6dpo were implantation. But of course won't know till testing and missed AF. Am due on Monday. My Luteal Phase is 10 days, with AF arriving on what would be 11. Not planning to test until am certain am late by at least a day or 2. So either Tuesday or Wednesday next week. Would rather not have the disappointment of negative tests before hand.

Also having cramping which started yesterday! Which is supposed to be a good sign. My temperature has dropped back to baseline though so I don't think that's a good sign.

Hello! I think I'm 3 DPO but not entirely sure. This is our first month tentatively TTC, and is the first time I've ever tracked my ovulation. We haven't really been going at it this month, just starting to track things.

Had a low CB OPK result on Monday, then straight to peak on Tuesday. Had quite intense ovulation pain around 12am on Monday night.

It's all so confusing! I can't figure out if it's 'normal' that I had a peak result after ovulation pain, as ovulation is meant to happen a day or so after peak.

The Flo app reckons I ovulated on Tuesday but just don't know if I believe that. Also only had EWCM once this week with a BM (TMI, lol 😂) and usually have it consistently for a couple of days. It's a minefield isn't it!

To add on top of that - the other day we got carried away DTD in a spoon position without any actual penetration (iykwim), and he finished down there 😂So now I'm like what are the chances the lil spermies have made their way inside.

So yes I am in the TWW but with little optimism for this month! But nice to join everyone 🙂

I have very long periods too! Sometimes up to like 17 days. It's a nightmare isn't it! I've recently started tracking like the first 7 days as spotting, and then logging a 'proper' period when it starts to get heavier. That seems to make sense based on when I think I'm ovulating. But it makes it really hard to say how long your cycles really are. Have you ever had your progesterone levels tested?

ahhh this is so frustrating, i am struggling with the wait this time!!

I have a constant "not feeling right" cramp-esqe feeling but now i'm thinking is it just my PMS cramps that normally start early. I normally start light cramping/some spotting about 4 days before AF starts. It still feels a bit early right now but maybe that's all it is :(

It's definitely confusing when it happens, my app said i ovulated earlier than i did this month (based on the test) so we probably DTD too early!

Ugh I get you, the wait is so long and frustrating. It's like I think of nothing else.

I don't do bbt as I have a smart watch which does it overnight, it's not as precise as bbt I think. But it's good to monitor it.

@Hannahttcjourney ahh I have my fingers crossed for you! The wait is horrible isn’t it. Whyyy do PMS symptoms have to be basically the same as pre-pregnancy symptoms 😂

I get spotting too usually from about 7 days before AF so can identify with that!!

I had a sort of stitch-like feeling all across my lower abdomen for most of the day yesterday which is unusual.

@purplecolouroffunk yeah it takes about 5 days for a ‘real’ period to kick in and goes with my ovulation dates. Had to ignore my app which said my fertile week started the last day of my period 🤣
To be honest I was thinking of going to the GP but it’s been relatively new for me - 6 months. I am breastfeeding my 2 yr old (nearly 3) so have been putting it down to that. Super long periods are so depressing and confusing. Husband said maybe I’m peri-menopause … I’m 30!!

What’s the earliest you are resting? 4dpo - I have a load of those cheap ones so not spending lots of money on them. Has anyone tested from 7dpo?

Haha yes I had the same! Flo gets soo confused about when I might be ovulating and always said it’s during the end of my period 😂 Once I stopped tracking all the bleeding as period it gave me a much more accurate ov prediction.

It sucks doesn’t it?! I’ve been having it for 5 years 😭 Had my progesterone tested and it was low BUT I’ve since realised I was testing at completely the wrong time in my cycle, since I was counting spotting as CD1. Getting a retest next week and hoping it’s normal!

I foolishly tested on a cheapy today. I know it's too early and was negative obvs. Getting lots of crampy pains in my left side today though.
