1dpo - Anyone want to join during the two week wait?

Hi all, currently 1dpo. Hoping for a lucky month. I lost my twin boys a few months ago at 29 weeks due to TTTS. Two days before this I had a beautiful scan and two perfect babies - only 6 weeks away from c-section. And two days after my scan - our world fell apart. I had no movement and all of a sudden, I was told one of my babies had no heartbeat and then four days later, we had to remove life support from his twin brother as he was so ill. My sons were beautiful, visually perfect babies who were so unlucky. I miss them terribly.

So Here I am 1dpo and hoping for the best. Would love the support from any other hopeful ladies and in turn I'll support ye too. Much luck to us all 😀

@Ella31 ah no I’m so sorry. Hopefully it’s just too early for a BFP and it will appear. But I do understand the disheartening feeling and feeling down about it. I hope you manage to enjoy your weekend and AF doesn’t show up.

It's so weird, very very light niggling cramps not as heavy as before so as usual I'm hoping then doubting, then hoping again.

I can try it next month and see if it's doable. Good idea, thank you! I've usually done it morning, afternoon and evening but not so easy to stick to a 'schedule' so to speak so testing times haven't been so uniform. There's been many times I've just gone for a wee without even thinking about it and cursing myself afterwards 🤣

Thank you, all is well now. But just for anyone reading, if you have a C-section, please take it as easy as you can. I did a little too much following mine and just put my backache down to that. I appreciate that the two may be completely unrelated but unfortunately cannot rule it out 100% and it's really not worth the risk - accept help when it's offered! 😊

Funny you say that. My late boys were emergency section and my back is still off since 4 months ago.

I get what you mean about the hard to be uniform in times. I usually do testing about 2 clock and 6 clock each day.

I find dtd every other day more reassuring. It covers bases

I'm really not trying to scare you but do keep an eye on that and if it gets worse or goes on much longer, speak to your GP. Mine lead to sciatica and then ultimately early Cauda Equina. Like I say, could be completely unrelated but I wouldn't say it's worth chancing it when it's something like your back

I might take a leaf out of your book and try testing around those times, sounds pretty attainable for myself, will attempt DTD every other day also. What OPKs do you use? Thinking of changing brand this time

No that's great information to have as I was wondering.

I use two. I use easy@home and the purple advanced clear blue. I trust the easy at home because they definitely link up to the clearblue opk but the clearboue has often given me early fertile days well before ovulstion because the machine is obviously picking up on estrogen as well as lh.

I’m going okay today, I think my boobs might be starting to ache a little. Probably just getting ready for AF

You ready to test tomorrow? I presume 9dpo is early? I tested positive with my twins at 8dpo last April. Couldn't believe it.

Please could I ask when is everyone charting their DPO.?
is this after the fertile window or from the day after you are at peak fertility?

So when you get your peak ovulation- it's usually the day after. I tend to use a cheap strip test after I get my peak and when that has significantly lowered, I count it as my 1dpo

@2BabyOrNot2Baby my son is 2.5 years hence the worried I’ve left it too late for them to have a nice bond 😭
Also sorry about the unclear ovulation. Are you usually regular? Sounds like you could have just ovulated late on Monday so it’s good that you DTD that day so good chances.

I also had a c section and I’m still not right. It may but be pregnancy in general but my back and all my joints have gone awful :( and I also get sciatica.

So it turns out AF was trolling me last night and has come full force today with the worst cramps ever!!
I know it’s probably just hormones but I’m just so down and disheartened today and I’m having irrational thoughts of what if I’m not not able to get pregnant again?

If it's any consolation, me and my sister have a 9 year age gap and we're pretty close. That is by no means me suggesting it is going to take that long for you but it is possible to have a nice bond!
I am usually pretty regular, yeah. Maybe a day off here and there but nothing major. Still not really getting any signs of AF so a bit worried (if it hasn't worked out this month) that my cycle has been thrown completely off.

My knees are really bad along with my back. I remember being so achy all the time when I was pregnant, feels like it's just never really gone away!

Oh I'm sorry 😟 completely normal that you're worried about that but try not to let it get to you too much. I think we're our own worst enemy during this aren't we. Sending lots of luck and baby dust for next month 🍀✨

@Beanie14 I completely understand how you feel. You will get pregnant again. I was so bad last month that I actually rang my hospital bereavement midwife to see if I need counselling because I convinced myself I had loads of things wrong and I would never conceive again. Needless to say she said otherwise.

I think it just happens for some good reason. You do everything the same and somehow you conceive one month whereas others you don't. I'm just sorry you feel so crap but I really believe you will have good news and I'm not just saying that. I remember the month I conceived my boys I was so stressed thinking I can't do this anymore. I did everything the same as the month I conceived my losses and the months my period came and boom - pregnant with twins. Thinking of you xx

I’m at 17DPO and my digital tests are showing progression in the weeks, which they never did last time. Hoping this one finally sticks! 🤞🏻

9dpo. Whiter than white Cb early. Feel disappointed but onwards and upwards. I'm actually heading off to the US next week for a few days getaway with my dh. I'm expecting af to arrive Monday so I should be nearly finished af by the time we head off. Will be nice not to be in ovulation or tww mode when I'm there. Just switch off.
