1dpo - Anyone want to join during the two week wait?

Ella31 · 28/01/2024 00:39

Hi all, currently 1dpo. Hoping for a lucky month. I lost my twin boys a few months ago at 29 weeks due to TTTS. Two days before this I had a beautiful scan and two perfect babies - only 6 weeks away from c-section. And two days after my scan - our world fell apart. I had no movement and all of a sudden, I was told one of my babies had no heartbeat and then four days later, we had to remove life support from his twin brother as he was so ill. My sons were beautiful, visually perfect babies who were so unlucky. I miss them terribly.

So Here I am 1dpo and hoping for the best. Would love the support from any other hopeful ladies and in turn I'll support ye too. Much luck to us all 😀

@Negangirlxx uoure right the digital ones of pretty accurate but they’re now where near as sensitive so at 8dpo I’d expect it to say negative.
when I got my BFP that unfortunately I MC I didn’t do a digital until 15DPO and the day after AF was due

I did my digital at 11DPO.

I am gonna do more tests on AF due date, and after, just to make sure.

Ncl31 · 03/03/2024 10:14

Ah sorry I thought I read it was 8DPO.
Even still, you’re not out until AF arrives.

It’s OK ☺️

I’m gonna retest on AF due date just to give a bit more reassurance. After my last miscarriage I’m a lot more nervous this time around. I don’t want to get my hopes up then go through all that misery again.

Ncl31 · 03/03/2024 13:27

@Negangirlxx i totally get that. I feel the same. Part of me wants to test early but part of me is scared to test in case I have another mc

Yeah it’s absolutely terrifying isn’t it?
It kind of robs all of the enjoyment and excitement from you.

I don’t know how to feel. My period is on a regular 28 day cycle, I’m never late (maybe the odd day later/earlier here and there) I’ve attached my OPKs and bbt (even though I only started this month - this is our second month TTC) I have endometriosis and adenomyosis.

It looks like I have been having LH surges later in my cycle, but now I can’t work out how many DPO I am. I feel out before I’ve even started and I haven’t even gotten excited about the possibility I could get pregnant this month! Things feel out of control for me which sucks.

anyone who knows more than me, knows how to interpret my opks and chart? I’ve not had a peak test, but they seem positive to me. I just don’t know where to start counting the DPO from

BabyBorn · 04/03/2024 15:09

@Negangirlxx The first 3 months of a pregnancy are the worst aren't they 🥴 the stress and panic but I always believe what is meant to be will be, even if it hurts like hell and life can be very cruel. I'm sure everything will be just fine, try to eliminate any stress.

@Ella31i tested again last night at 9DPO and BFN. I've not tested today but had loads of CM this afternoon. 🥴 How are things with you?

Yeah I know.
I’ve booked an early reassurance scan for in a few weeks time so 🤞🏻🤞🏻

BabyBorn · 04/03/2024 17:11

@Negangirlxx good idea. I did the same twice too after my ectopic. Really reassuring! Good Luck! X

I think day 19 is your peak so go from there I'd say. Did you have egcm

I didn’t get ewcm, I have never got it where it’s stretchy like that! I either get watery cm or creamy. We used pre seed this month to help but I’m open to more suggestions for more fertile cm

What vitamins are you taking? I take proveive. I find it very good. And it doesn't mess with your cycle like some of the others.

I will however say that many women don't get the peaks or egg white cm and conceive just fine. So I don't want to be worrying you. See how you fare this cycle? Are you regular cycle wise. When would you expect af?

I’m taking folic acid, vitamin D3 and a general multi vitamin. I have vitamin c and pregnacare in my basket ready for next month!

im usually 28 days bang on, my cycle is very regular. I’m due a week today, but I’m worried that my luetal phase may be on the shorter side due to endo and adenomyosis? (I’m using opks and bbt to test) Not sure how to lengthen that and I doubt doctors will help as we’ve only TTC since January!

im on a lot of medication for my poor health, and I’ve read that naproxen can stop the lining building! I need to mention this to my doctor and see what to do. I’m happy to come off that one if it’ll help!

Ella31 · 05/03/2024 09:54

My luteal phase was always 12/13 days After my loss it went to 8😱, I took vitamin c and my luteal phase went back to normal last month. I take vitamin c every morning now with my proceive and omega 3.

I've read pregnacare can delay your cycle but check it out as I might be wrong. There was a few women on mumsnet who said that.

Oh wow! Bodies are strange, aren’t they?! If I’m not successful this cycle, I’ll be ordering a few vitamins and talking to the doctor about my current meds. I hope it’s not a low prestosgerone issue.

I’ve read that as well! It seems very split with how well it works.

6dpo today. Mild cramps in lower back. Feeling deflated as I normally get this so I'm expecting af is on her way 😢

2BabyOrNot2Baby · 05/03/2024 13:06

I'm so confused. I stopped ovulation testing sometime last week as it just seemed my peak wasn't coming and I'm due AF this Thursday so thought I'd just throw in the towel this month and try again next time.
Took the last ovulation test I had yesterday (I really don't know why, maybe satisfy an urge to POAS?? 🥴) and it was a pretty prominent line... Not quite a peak but a lot more obvious and darker than I've had up to now. My cm has also been all over the place the past few days also, a mix between dry & sticky (I know not fertile) to wet & watery! But then I have also been having slight cramps that usually crop up before AF.

I know easier said than done but try not to worry. I had the same with my son so I was fully expecting my period to come but got a positive about a week after I was due!

To be completely honest, my periods have never been all that regular, especially after coming of BC, but I still got the cramps whether it showed up or not. So it really was a shock when I actually tested positive! Keeping everything crossed for you, you deserve it ❤️

I'm not too bad, more just confused than anything else. Starting to get a little crampy but like I say, AF is due in a couple of days and really don't think we DTD at the right times this month but March could be a completely different story. We were aiming to try the SMEP method but life has just got in the way this time round. Feeling the pressure a little as we were wanting a relatively close age gap for our kids, starting to feel like we should've started TTC a little earlier 😕
Hope you're doing alright!

I'm quite low today but really appreciate your post. It's so rubbish isn't it? I'm sorry you are feeling the pressure? And you are so right about the life getting in the way. Planning is great until real life intervenes.

What dpo are you? I've every finger crossed for you xx

I’m 8DPO today. Like PP, I’m also having period-like cramps (since 5DPO). AF isn’t due until Monday (14DPO), wouldn’t usually be cramping this far away, but she could be on her way.

We only managed to DTD once this cycle (during my LH surge), so wasn’t holding out too much hope anyway! Think we’re going to start SMEP next cycle.

Beanie14 · 05/03/2024 16:12

What is SMEP?

AF due tomorrow, getting a little crampy now so I’m sure it’s on its way!
Here’s to next month, fingers crossed.
@2BabyOrNot2Baby

sorry you’re feeling the pressure, I am too! I also wanted a relatively small gap but just seems to be getting bigger and bigger at the moment :(
Hoping this is your month.

hoping this next month is the one.
@Ella31 sorry you’re feeling low :( I know easier said than done but try not to worry about symptoms at this stage, it could still be a positive. Sending hugs

#@Beanie14 it's Sperm meets egg plan. The basic principle is you dtd every other day from day 8 of your cycle. On the 10th day you use opk. Once you get a positive you dtd 3 more days in a row, skip a day and do it once more.

I kind of do smep. I dtd every other day and three times after peak

Hi all,

Hope everyone is good. CD 27 so AF due any day now. Hoping my LP is much longer this month. This will be day 12 today. I don't feel any type of way really. Just tired but always am. I've lost almost a stone in 4 weeks due to dieting so my reserves are low. Cut down my breastfeeding drastically and only feeding my LG once through the night now instead of 4/5 times a night. Have cut back feeds in the day too. She coping so well with it considering she's a massive boobie monster usually. Sending positive vibes to everybody else this month and for us going into March too!
