@4LeafCloverBaby I have only taken one dose today. I am on antibiotics though if that does anything?

4LeafCloverBaby · 02/02/2024 22:14

@Mummysparrow I’m not sure about the antibiotics but defo cough medicine makes this happen x

@Lowrilawson I’m doing good! 5 weeks as of yesterday, feeling pretty bright and energetic in general, the only symptom I have is sore boobs at the moment.

Lowrilawson · 03/02/2024 12:59

@FantasticalCat Awh that sounds great x

4LeafCloverBaby · 03/02/2024 17:32

@Cazzy87 hows it going with your tests? x

@Lowrilawson hows it going with your ovulation & temping? x

OP posts:
Lowrilawson · 03/02/2024 17:43

@4LeafCloverBaby yeah I DTD this morning as per your advice it should the day after today and my temp was 36.0 today so that's better than 35.7 xx

4LeafCloverBaby · 03/02/2024 17:50

@Lowrilawson nice, well done hun 👌🏼 So are you using a proper BBT to 2 decimal points thermometer & putting it under your tongue first thing when you wake up? x

Lowrilawson · 03/02/2024 18:04

@4LeafCloverBaby I am :) we will see how it goes, going to be a long wait but my period is supposed to start the day after valentines so I'll do a test the day before. Wouldn't it be amazing if I could tell my partner on Valentine's Day xx

4LeafCloverBaby · 03/02/2024 18:08

@Lowrilawson that would be amazing! I’m really hoping for you hun. Defo wait until the 13th to test 👌🏼 x

@4LeafCloverBaby I just want it so bad and I'm not sure what else I can do to increase my chances xx

Cazzy87 · 03/02/2024 18:22

@4LeafCloverBaby tested this morning and still no line really may test again now but did clear blue too and that was blank face so not sure when ovulation is going to come!

4LeafCloverBaby · 04/02/2024 00:12

@Cazzy87 hmmm when the CB should pick up your estrogen first so I wonder when you’ll ovulate?! What CD are you now? X

@Lowrilawson I know darling, I feel you. Let’s get through this cycle with hope & optimism & then go from there x

Question!
I did CB OPK and got static smiley 3 days ago (but I wasn't sure whether to believe it or not as 17 days post MC.
So I tested again on another kit - got "O" yesterday and the day before and it went to flashing smiley today.
Might you get smileys after ovulation anyway? I've never tested after I've got a static.

KittyFantastica · 04/02/2024 10:06

I ovulated on CD17 post early loss, so definitely possible!

If you used a new device, it will always give a O as the first reading. From my understanding, it uses either the first or the first few tests to set up a base line, so I'd have trusted the static three days ago if you had been testing up to that point. It's so hard to tell though when you're not sure what's happening post-MC!

Have you got any other kinds of ovulation tests to confirm what the new kit says? I thought I missed ovulation in December, but ended up having the early loss anyway, so this time I used a CB monitor, CB tracker and two types of OPKs. They all peaked on the same day, which was great for peace of mind!

KittyFantastica · 04/02/2024 10:06

Oops, sorry, meant it tag @123456789ss in my last message!

4LeafCloverBaby · 04/02/2024 10:09

@123456789ss your first test with a kit will always be a blank circle as the reader takes this test as your hormone base level. After this you will get a flashing smiley when you Estrogen starts rising & then a static when your LH level rises which is your peak. After you ovulate your estrogen level can rise again slightly so the flashing smiley is likely picking that up. See pic attached of which hormones rise & fall throughout ovulation & after.

Thanks - yeah I've also been using cheap tests but they haven't shown any kind of rise (but I don't normally have long or high readings anyway)
Maybe I just need to use this time to sort my body out then try properly next cycle!

Thanks so much. Yeah I guess it could be that. I've now seen a lot of posts asking about flashing after a peak so it's probably normals.
Guess I'm annoyed we only add once as I didn't think it was actually happening!

4LeafCloverBaby · 04/02/2024 10:20

@123456789ss well it only takes 1 swimmer so you never know! Just trust in the process with the CB…I used to do the easy@home cheap strips along side the CB just to confirm it all. Good luck 🤞🏼🍀

Absolutely, there's no harm in giving yourself some time.

Just as a thought - what time are you testing? I got absolutely nothing with the cheapies and FMU until some lovely people here mentioned it can take a few hours for the hormones to rise in the morning, so I tested mid-morning with SMU and didn't drink anything. It made a world of difference.

4LeafCloverBaby · 04/02/2024 10:24

@KittyFantastica hows things going with you? What dpo are you?

TBH I test all day long 😝 I'm an obsessive POAS-er!
When I got my BFP last year the peak looked absolutely rubbish but I just went with the CB

What time do you think is best?
I tend to see a bit of a rise in the evenings (if I do)

@123456789ss I found between 10:30 and 11:00 best for me. I always used just the monitor before, then used the tracker twice and I wasn't aware you could test more than once a day with the tracker and the monitor is only a once a day thing.

If you test multiple times a day, I'd go for whatever times the lines seem darkest/most progressed. I've added a picture of my OPK tests and timelines. It was my first month using them and took me a while to get a grip on them. I also discovered my peak is super steep and swift.

@4LeafCloverBaby I've had a few rough days. I can't find any jobs to apply to and it's stressing me out something terrible. Currently 5DPO and struggling with the TWW as well. I didn't even notice it last time as I thought I was out all month. How are you doing??

4LeafCloverBaby · 04/02/2024 12:20

@KittyFantastica urgh that sounds stressful hun 😔 What is it you did before being made redundant? Well you’re already nearly half way there with the tww 🤞🏼🙂
Im ok thank you, I got my 3+ yesterday on the CB so that put my mind at ease that it’s progressing. Feeling a bit crap in general but not too bad. Just waiting for time to hurry up for my scan. Just under 4 weeks to go x
