Hello all, I really hope you're all doing as well as can be.

Just going to leave this here as a little positive update. I'm still mostly keeping my head low and my heart hopeful.

We're 11 weeks today and we are measuring 11+4. Baby was moving around, stretching and sucking their thumb. It's the furthest we've ever got, and we were in floods of tears.

Keeping you all in my heart ❤️

Thank you all ❤️

@Racket81 Of course, this is third time lucky (hopefully) for us. We started TTC in December 2023 and we were successful on the first try. It was a HUGE shock and we were absolutely elated.
Sadly, I had a MC at 6 weeks and my tests never really progressed, so it was a chemical.

My cycle went straight back to normal, so we decided not to have a break and to keep going, and we conceived again straight away. That pregnancy ended at 10 weeks in March. I'd been measuring 10 days behind pretty much the entire time, and baby passed between 8-10 weeks, but was only measuring just over 6 weeks. It was very traumatic and I still feel so much grief. I still think of my due date as being October and can't believe I'll be leaving 2024 without that baby in my arms (as much as I am, of course, EXTREMELY grateful for the one I am currently growing).

It took my cycle nearly 8 weeks to return after the MMC, and I was so worried because I'd always had a clockwork cycle. I was having random intermittent bleeding and didn't seem to be ovulating, so I had some blood tests done. I thought I caught the tail end of ovulation at the end of May, so we chanced it just in case and that lead to this pregnancy.

I realise we have been exceptionally lucky in terms of conception. Every time we've tried, we've conceived. We've paid for it dearly, though in some ways. Nature is a bizarre thing; it's beautiful and incredible, but so cruel at the same time.

Hello ladies, how are you all doing? I hope you're keeping well.

I just wanted to let you know we made it to our dating scan. There were many happy tears. It was so scary after all the sadness we've had and knowing this will be last time we see baby until 20 weeks, but all looked well. Still waiting for the screening results, but they said there were no concerns from the actual ultrasound.

I'm 13+5 today and it still seems surreal. Just wanted to say I think of you all often and hope you're doing well.

Hi @4LeafCloverBaby hope you are well and feeling good about your upcoming birth.

Sadly, I'm here with upsetting news. I'll keep it brief as I know it will be shocking and possibly frightening for others.

I went into labour at 19+2 on Friday evening and gave birth to our beautiful, perfect little boy, George, on Saturday 28th September. The cause is currently being investigated. I don't think we will ever feel whole again, the pain is unimaginable.

I'll be going into hiding again now whilst I try to make it all make sense. Wishing you all the best.

So sorry to hear this @@Kittyfantastica So sorry for your loss. Can't imagine what you are going through.

So we had an app with recurrent mc clinic. Nothing wrong with me all bloods good no sign of diabetes or menopause. Doc said if get preg again will be scanned at 6 and will be give progesterone to help. If mc again need to keep tissues for chromo tests and then a sperm test for partner although they think unlike anything wrong there as getting pregnant. Just age I think so habe to keep going. Hooe rest of you are doing well. X

CharliP33 · 01/10/2024 23:23

Just to update on our journey. We've been going to our local fertility clinic. They sent me for all the blood tests and my AMH came back at 2.1 unfortunately, which would be too low even for IVF. They have said that it doesn't seem right though as everything else looked good, so they've asked for it to be repeated. Also got rejected for the funding because my husband has an 18 year old daughter. So I'm giong to see my GP about an individual funding request, as it seems really bloody unfair. Sending love to you all x

Mummysparrow · 02/10/2024 12:18

@KittyFantastica omg I am so sorry to hear this. I can only imagine how you are feeling. Really make use of your bereavement midwife. I found mine really helpful when I loss my George at 15 weeks. Are you getting a post mortem?
@CharliP33 hopefully the re test comes up with better numbers for you. When are they doing the retest?
I am 4 months post loss and on cycle 3 of TTC. This is my first cycle of having ovulation at around 14 days after having 2 longer cycles. I am taking some rather expensive vitamins and it looks like they may be working

KittyFantastica · 24/11/2024 18:55

Hi @Mummysparrow sorry, only just seen this. We declined a postmortem. Baby was alive and thriving right until the end. All the tests we had have come back negative, so there was no infection or anything wrong with my bloods, his bloods, cord, placenta or swabs. They're just saying it's unexplained. It's terrifying because once you've had preterm labour, you're more likely to experience it again and we only made it to 19 weeks.

I was shocked to find I'd ovulated about 3 weeks after giving birth. I only know this because I had an ultrasound due to residual pain and they wrote there was a corpus luteum on my right ovary. It shocked me. My first period arrived 28 days exactly after he was born, so must have ovulated day 14.

I've just had a 30 day cycle though. This time, I started tracking again just to see how it's all looking for when we eventually try again, and I ovulated either night of the CD17 or morning of CD18. May I ask what vitamins you're taking? I'm taking about 9, but I'd like to bring ovulation forward again.
