@Cazzy87 see things like that boil my bones! why do people who don't deserve kids find it so easy to get pregnant and the ones who will love and care for a child find it harder! X

I got pregnant really quickly with my daughter and I hoped it would be the same this time around but I am approaching 35 and I don't think it will be that simple. We have given ourselves a year to conceive otherwise we are one and done. We don't want to go through IVF.
Has anyone else put a deadline on it?
Any recommendations on cheap pregnancy tests that pick up low HCG levels? Can't afford to use just first response and clearblue if it is going to be a long journey.
On the plus side I am getting a puppy in a little over a week so he will distract me at least

@Mummysparrow omg what breed of puppy? and it must be really hard! I'm 22 so I am young which is why I thought it would be easier than it has been, makes me worry about fertility xx

I am getting a show cocker spaniel. My working cocker spaniel died in December and he has left a huge gap in our lives so decided we had to get another. I have attached a picture. I am so excited but also scared as everyone says I must be mad having a puppy and a 2 year old 🤣
At the age of 16 I was found to have a pituitary gland tumor which was controlled by medication. I was worried that it would take me ages to conceive but it didn't. The pregnancy put the condition into remission which means no meds now. However the medication I was on was also a low dose fertility drug so now I am worried that is why I got pregnant so easily and I will now have issues. But I have nothing to back that concern up. You always hear of accidental pregnancies that it is shocking when it doesn't happen straight away. We are in it together

@Mummysparrow we haven't put a deadline on it but i know id like to be pregnant by the time i'm 37 in sept. How long have you been trying?

@Cazzy87 this was only month 2. We held off trying for a few reasons until the end of last year just in case I did get pregnant quickly (was originally going to start in June). We are going to give it until the end of the year

@4LeafCloverBaby odd question and you don't have to answer it by any means! when you DTD around ovulation how long did you leave it to have a wee and a shower? xx

@Lowrilawson haha I’m an open book hunny 😘 So I DTD in the PM on the 2 days before ovulation, the PM of ovulation & then then AM the day after ovulation. I just put my knickers on & went to sleep. No shower, no wee & no legs up. When I did it the next morning I just stayed laying down for about 20 mins. From what I’ve read, as long as you stay horizontal for 10-20 mins that’s enough. Most of what comes out isn’t sperm, it’s just the jelly crap that they move in x

@Lowrilawson I know…although I do regularly get UTI so it was a risk but I just thought eff it!

@4LeafCloverBaby well it paid off and I never knew the stuff that came out was the jelly stuff! At one time I thought I wasn't normal as it obviously comes out thought I was the only one for a while ahah😹 how is it all going for you? Xx

@Lowrilawson I know…it’s gross isn’t it. I think we have it in our head that it should be how it is on TV & it really isn’t lol.
I’m good thank you. 5 weeks today & just feeling a bit in limbo as not much going on apart from cramps & sore boobs & I’m hungry. I’ve booked a private scan for 9th March so I’ll be just over 10 weeks & then planning on telling my Mum & Sisters on Mother’s day on the 10th…providing all goes well! 😊 They are going to be in absolute shock! Lol

I'm going to try and be strong like you and wait for AF to appear this time, I definitely get LH surges in the evening as this morning there was hardly a line on my OPK and tonight it's almost as dark as the first line, I'm assuming I will ovulate day 18 which is Friday xx

Orrrrr maybe tomorrow with how dark the line is ahah xx

so getting a bit concerned i don't even have a hint of a line yet on my OPK and on CD13 - does anyone else get a sudden surge? rather than a gradual line that gets darker every day? i have tested last 3 days and barely anything even with a squint! and my as i've said both my apps say peak may be 4th/5th 🤔
