Have been trying for 7 months, brought ovulation sticks, still nada. Last month period was 4 days late - i was elated especially as i have been tracking like clockwork since the summer.

Period came and the cramps were the worst they have ever been and very heavy flow. Would have loved to have had 2/3 children, but am now worried as Im 35 and focused on my career all this time. Only to quit last year due to burn out and now focusing on mental and physical health.

Seems like a catch 22 situation and now I feel stuck, anxious, worried, did i make the right decision with anything? No mat leave, no children. Could really use some helpful opinions please.

My miscarraige was July 2023 so yes 1 pregnancy I 2 years which ended in MC had my bloods all tested early 2022they were all ok then. Putting house on market to release equity so if want to go for private ivf can afford it.

Sending you all the luck

Assume you had thyroid tested after miscarriage ?

And assume you've read it starts with an egg ?

Sorry to hear about your miscarriage. I know how painful it is - we had one last year too

Assume youve had progesterone checked?

And a transvaginal scan to check ovaries and structural ?

7 months isn't that long. Don't lose heart. If you can go to.GP and get some basic tests done it might help to give you some comfort if all is OK.

To give you hope I was 35 having dd1, 36 on dd2 and 41 on dd3.

The only way you'll know that is to get your AMH tested.

Aww OP! I just saw this thread and read only your posts! Congratulations! I am so so excited for you, that I have tears in my eyes and I wasn’t even involved on this thread!

I do wonder if you had a chemical last month. I had one the month before I got with my first at 33, and I read of many many stories of women who had a successful pregnancy right after a chemical. In my mum’s culture, it’s even become an old wives tale!

Wishing you a healthy and happy pregnancy!

Thank you so much.. this means so much to me. All I want is for me and baby to be healthy. But I dont know what to feel or do. Should i be doing light exercise? Should i be taking all of the vitamins?

Im so overwhelmed. Will I be able to give birth properly? Im of a smaller frame and what if i cant push?

Maybe the chemical is good luck in a weird kind of way?! How many children do you have?

Have you ever had your estrogen checked ?

If your not successful this cycle - do consider asking nhs to check your estrogen- it can be done in primary care

I had some private thermal imagery done in jan - they've discovered im estrogen dominant - that's highly likely linked to low progesterone / my early miscarriage history and even my colon polyps..

I had so many private hormone and fertility tests
And prolactin etc on nhs

But didnt know re estrogen til yest

Racket81 · 31/01/2024 07:13

Yes I have and was all.ok although that was early 2022.

If i was you - id ask 4 more recent tests

  • - full blood count
  • vit d
  • b12
  • feretin
  • prolactin.
  • estrogen
  • thyroid
  • progesterone

^ if i was you - which im fully aware im not (!) - id be asking the NHS 4 all of the above

Id also get amh etc done privately with hertility health

...
Sending you all the luck
