Not long now @WhatTheEll! Keeping everything crossed for you!

Im on a cocktail of drugs that both mask symptoms (steroids) and increase them (progesterone) so I don’t know what my true symptoms are. I basically feel fine except for some bloating in the evenings and I’ve started to get quite tired.

With my DS I had no morning sickness and with my DD I had awful nausea starting from about 6 weeks so will be interesting to see what happens this time! I don’t think we would find out the sex as nice to have a surprise.

Hi ladies! Congratulations to those who’ve had BFP since I was last on here!!! 🎉❤️

When I was last on I talked about morning sickness as it hadn’t hit yet but booooy has it hit now! 🥴 I feel absolutely mind numbingly sick every moment of every day and throwing up at least 3 or 4 times too. Even during the middle of the night, in fact night times are 100x worse.

I went to the doctors yesterday and was prescribed cyclizine. I’ve never taken anti sickness meds before because I’ve just soldiered through it but having to parent two kids whilst I’m unable to function is really taking its toll.

Have any of you ladies taken them before and did they work? I’ve only been taking them since yesterday but so far I can’t say I feel any better 😂

Rose38 · 23/01/2024 16:57

@WhatTheEll 🤞 for you. Let us know how you get on.

Ifyouknowyouknowyouknow · 23/01/2024 20:17

Hi @L0ts! how many weeks are you now? So sorry about the bad morning sickness - sounds horrendous.

I’ve never taken cyclizine but hope they start working for you fast.

Hi @Ifyouknowyouknowyouknow I’m 6+2 today so it’s hit relatively early, it probably started about a week a go. I should have known, it hit around the same time with my other two as well but a girl can dream 😂 How are you feeling??

MrsPepper82 · 24/01/2024 10:18

@L0ts can’t even say imagine what you are going through. I hope it also goes away sooner if it began sooner. I have been lucky enough to only have mild version of not wanting to ear something and also throwing up is unfamiliar to me.
@Rose38 how your line is progressing?
@Ifyouknowyouknowyouknow must be weird having your symptoms masked.
@AnaReis how are you?

I am worried about my heart rate, it has dropped from usual 52 around AF time to 50.

Maybe I shouldn’t worry as when I got this veeery slight line it climbed up to 55 so it shouldn’t be a problem to get it up when needed, but from that on it has dropped day by day.

Rose38 · 24/01/2024 11:01

@MrsPepper82 Feel a bit panicky as the test I did this morning had such a faint line (like when I first started testing positive)...I did go to the toilet at one point during the night so I don't know if that might be why it looks so faint now 🤷‍♀️ Will test again around lunchtime and see if the line is any better.

MrsPepper82 · 24/01/2024 11:14

@Rose38 everything crossed for you, even my toes.
Maybe it’s just that being out dated part not giving proper lines.

Rose38 · 24/01/2024 14:04

Does this line look ok? Bear in mind I am now one day late for AF. And I have been testing positive since last week.

Ifyouknowyouknowyouknow · 24/01/2024 14:13

It’s quite faint @Rose38 but it is a definite positive and I really don’t trust clearblues at all.

Can you get a pink dye one (the boots own brand seem good)? This was my test 2 days after AF was due on one of the boots ones.

@Ifyouknowyouknowyouknow I have some Boots test strips..I can do one later. I also have First Reponse rapid tests at home too...I might just do both a few hours later to check. Since that chemical last month, I have become so paranoid 😔😔 The really faint line I got this morning was Easy@home...

MrsPepper82 · 24/01/2024 14:36

@Rose38 CB weeks should now begin to show 2-3weeks as it should switch around 120-180. It sucks not to have blood tests and sure results. I would just freak out without them. 🤞🤞🤞

Rose38 · 24/01/2024 14:44

@MrsPepper82 I only did the Clearblue digital yesterday & that showed 1-2 weeks. Maybe I'll wait till the end of the week and do another digital test.

I did only ovulate about 15-16 days ago.

MrsPepper82 · 24/01/2024 14:47

I somehow recalled you mentioning 7dpo around 14th this is why I falsely thought it could help, of course if its so early still no point of stressing with another 1-2 weeks result.

AnaFox · 24/01/2024 15:00

@L0ts I'm so sorry you're feeling lousy! I hope the meds start working their magic soon. I've started with horrid nausea at 6 weeks with both kids, so that I'm not looking forward to 😅

@Rose38 I'm so sorry you're having such a stress with this 😞 it must be really hard 😞 can you ask the GP for a blood test?

@MrsPepper82 thanks for asking 😊 I'm ok, on CD3, still on my period 🤷🏻‍♀️ nothing to report 😅

elle123355 · 24/01/2024 15:06

Hi ladies I hope you don't mind me jumping on this thread, im 4 days late, getting faint positives :(

Rose38 · 24/01/2024 18:51

Did another easy@home & First Response test. These look better than the faint easy@home from this morning.

I think I'm testing too often meaning my lines are not as dark as they should be. And I noticed afternoon/evening time test looks better than morning ones.

@elle123355 Keep testing and 🤞 it gets darker.

Rose38 · 24/01/2024 19:00

@AnaFox I filled in the pregnancy self referral so hopefully I should hear back from them soon. I didn't bother letting my GP know as I thought the maternity team will do all the neccessary checks eventually. Hopefully they will do a blood test once they contact me.

Rose38 · 25/01/2024 13:17

I got the job!!! Sorry just wanted to update...won't be starting till 4th March and job is 40 hours but fully remote. So much going on right now that my mind is all over the place.

Ifyouknowyouknowyouknow · 25/01/2024 13:23

That’s amazing @Rose38 - congratulations!

How are you feeling?

OP posts:
Rose38 · 25/01/2024 13:35

@Ifyouknowyouknowyouknow Intense nausea from the minute I woke up. Been sweating a lot since last night too even though it's not even hot.

Easy@home test this morning is so faint that I have to squint to see it. Will try a different brand test in the evening. Evening tests seem to come out better for me for some reason.

I asked the GP if I can get a blood test done to check HCG..waiting for them to reply.

Now on top of the pregnancy stress, I found out about the job which is making me think how I will balance home & work life. The shifts are 11am to 7pm 4 weekdays and Sat 9am to 5pm..it's not too bad. I'll just have less free time once I start the job. School holidays will be hard to manage I think.

How are you doing?

MrsPepper82 · 25/01/2024 13:45

@Rose38 sooo great news on job!!

WhatTheEll · 25/01/2024 13:46

@Rose38 huge congratulations on the job!! Go you 🥳🥳 bossing it!
