After my MMC in June, I had a chemical in August....since then it's been a half arsed attempt on my behalf. I've been lazy and my heads not in it as much. Think I'm worried about another MMC. That was my second. I've been guaranteed Progesterone by EPU. We said we'd hold off "trying" in December because we have an August baby. So maybe we'll go full pelt in the new year. I'm 39 next year.

I had multiple chemical pregnancies so was referred to the fertility clinic. They couldn't find any issues so have given me the Progesterone pessaries to try which they asked me to use day 21 to day 28 in my cycle. He gave me 3 months worth so by Feb I should be seen again to give an update.
Last cycle I don't think we dtd at the right times so wasn't surprised to see negative tests. This month I am hopeful but I think I either have BV or thrush which is worrying me and I can't seem to shift it..already passed ovulation period so just have to wait and see.
I will be 40 in Feb so I am getting to the stage now where if this doesn't work then I will have to give up. It's different for everyone I guess but for me I think I will just by that point feel like I've given it my best shot and it wasn't meant to be. Don't want to dwell on this forever.

Hello, just joining here. I'm 38 and have 2 children, one with special needs which has really influenced our desire for a 3rd child, I can emphasise with you @whattheell
I also had a mmc this year and then we decided to take a break but somehow got accidentally pregnant and then had a chemical. So it's been a rollercoaster. Hope everyone is doing ok, happy to chat along the way!.

Welcome!!! I don't know if you skimmed the whole thread but our journeys are even more similar...my first also has severe learning difficulties (rare genetic syndrome) which also drives us to want a 3rd. Our second is an absolute joy, and really opened our eyes to parenting a neurotypical child. ♥️ so I can also sympathise with your situation x

It's been a while. How is everyone??

Sooooo I'm pregnant, again, and feeling really positive this time! 🙏🏻 I have my first early scan at 5w5d with EPU, and if all is well I will start on progesterone. I'm only 4 weeks today. 💚

Huge congratulations! I'm also finally pregnant- just 5 weeks so it still feels completely unreal....

I still have nothing to report at this end...but I'm beginning to think constant illnesses may be the cause for all my chemical pregnancies. I'm trying to eat more healthy & see if that makes any difference. I'm still using Cyclogest each cycle but I haven't had a postive test in the last couple of cycles. Also been using baby aspirin.

I'm also reducing my hours at work (from full time to part time). Hopefully that will help get my health back on track & help me be less tired all the time.

@Rose38 It sounds as though you're making all the right adjustments to enable pregnancy 🙏🏻 something that might help with tiredness and overall health - do you take pre and probiotics?
Hopefully you'll see some improvements ♥️

Just been taking Vitamin D and Folic Acid.

@Rose38 I don't know if this will help but I've been taken a female multivitamin called Free Soul on Amazon, and Love thy Gut powder also on Amazon. Been taking both since new year xx

Thanks I'll take a look. I did try the usual ones like Pregnacare conception & more recently there was an expensive one for Holland & Barrett...didn't feel like it made much difference. But at this point I will try anything.

Oh congratulations and good luck!! I hope everything goes well! I sort of stopped trying... perimenopause isn't being very kind to me either and I also gained loads of weight during Christmas which I'm still trying to loose!... oh well...

Done this test this morning...I'm due my period in 3 days.
Not feeling hopeful as every time the positive turn into negative within a few days.
I'm on Cyclogest pessaries. Also been using baby aspirin.

By the way @Rose38 did you get cyclogest prescribed? The gyno that I saw at the fertility clinic said my progesterone levels were good, so I didn't need to take anything, but I've also read that when you get spotting before your period you're lacking in progesterone... I'm not sure what to think!...

I've stopped testing at 18DPO. I can't do anything about the progress of this pregnancy until my first scan in a week so I'm just letting it be

@curliegirlie how are you feeling? Are you having an early scan or anything?
I'm getting niggly twinges daily, boobs sore and some nausea and I'm not even 5 weeks yet 😬 hopefully that's a good sign 🙏🏻

Everything seemed fine for me so they weren't sure what to try. I suggested the Cyclogest as I have seen to many positive stories on here about it. I would say still try and see if they can prescribe it to you as there is no harm trying. These past two months I even used low dose aspirin (the consultant did not tell me to).

I did another couple of pregnancy tests this morning but they were negative 🤦‍♀️ I'm guessing yesterday's test may have been from a bad batch? This happened another time actually with Easy at home tests...
Think I should start using a different brand as this one has become so unreliable.

I have been feeling really rough recently but it's hard to tell if the Cyclogest is causing it or something else.

Hi @whattheell congratulations on your good news! We had messaged before due to our similar situations (child with additional needs), but mumsnet seems to have gotten rid of private messages. I have sadly had another miscarriage last week, after finding out I was pregnant again in January. We are very sad but just getting on with things as best we can. Hope you're well and your scan goes well this week!

I really appreciate you reaching out. I hope you’re ok. My scan went well and I’m measuring ahead, so now 6w4d and on Cyclogest 400mg twice a day. Just taking it day by day ♥️
