Ah sorry you’ve had another squinter…the uncertainty is really awful.

I feel completely normal. I still haven’t told DH as I’m just struggling to accept that it is real. I haven’t booked a scan yet either!

If this one does stick then I’d really like to leave it as long as possible before telling work. With DC1 I wasn’t visibly pregnant until about 30 weeks but with DC2 I feel like I had a bump by about 8 weeks so slightly worried about whether I’ll be able to keep it to myself!

@Ifyouknowyouknowyouknow I did another First Response a little while ago. Can see line is darker than yesterday which is a relief. I clearly need to stop testing in mornings as last 2 days they just seem to come out faint.

I've just had an awful thought..my new job starts in March and if this pregnancy continues then baby would be due start of Oct meaning I could only work 7 months then have to take maternity leave 🙈🙈 omg they will not be happy with that. I'm still not convinced this pregnancy will be ok so for now I'm not going to say anything.

How far along did you say you are?

Let's see what tomorrow's is like as HCG doubles every 48 hours (I say that and then test daily myself 🤦🏻‍♀️).
And the job....yes definitely don't worry about that for now. It's exciting 🥳

I think I am 5+2 today…really early days.

CD 7 here so started with CB advanced- found a place where I could buy sticks separately and bought few so I would satisfy my curiosity about oestrogen rise that I missed last time due to too late done next test and the time before I started too late as I thought my cycle would be still 29 days.

@Rose38 are you taking biotin maybe this keep giving faints, as now you should according to that doubling logic anyway already get very strong lines, unless tests are super not sensitive or outdated.

@MrsPepper82 No I'm not taking biotin.
I am now 4 days late for AF. Still having pregnancy symptoms..headaches, nausea, stretching pains. No AF cramping or anything. Tests are not getting fainter and are getting darker. Online it says HCG can increase between 2 to 3 days. I will test again today and then try again Sunday.
I think the current box of Easy@home tests I have may have issues as they haven't been good. Even poundshop & Boots pregnancy tests are giving better lines.

I did ask the GP for a blood test but they said they will only do it if they think there is a miscarriage or ectopic pregnancy.

I'll see how things go over the weekend and if any issues, I will call the GP. 🤞

Been to the bathroom a couple of times now and seen light spotting. Praying it doesn't become full on bleeding...😔😔

So sorry @Rose38 - it’s really worrying. Could mean anything at this stage. I’ve had 4 mcs and bled/spotted with 2 and nothing with the other 2. My DC2 I had a massive bleed that filled the loo with clots and she was totally fine…you just can’t tell.

How are you feeling too @Ifyouknowyouknowyouknow , glad to hear your husband was happy about the lovely news! But I can imagine it's always a bit of a mixed bag of emotions to be honest, at least even with DC2 it was for us and we were always positive we'd have at least two.

Sorry to everyone else, I've only looked at this last page now. How is everyone else, where is everyone up to?

I am actually feeling a little bit optimistic this month (but also TERRIFIED hah) as yesterday I had a tiny bit of spotting. My period isn't due for ages and it was only a tiny bit and stopped and nothing since. The only other time this has ever happened to me when was when I fell pregnant with DC2, which I presume was implantation bleeding. So have my fingers crossed (although also still TERRIFIED..!!😬) DH has a telephone appointment with the GP tomorrow too to see if he can get referred for anything fertility wise earlier than usual. He looked up the guidelines last week and we realised they support earlier referral and investigations for men with varicoceles which he has. I definitely wouldn't consider any intensive fertility type treatment as with two lovely DC already it's just not for me but might as well see what the GP says at least.

I got home from London today so I did a pregnancy test and it seems to be negative 😔😔 I seem to have a headache which I can't seem to get rid of and it kept me up during the night.

I don't know whether to carry on ttc the next cycle 🤔 I mean in my mind I think it's got to be worth a shot as they say you're more fertile after a chemical pregnancy. But on the other hand having 2 in a row has been very upsetting and depressing.

figured out one last testing I have not done yet- this is progesterone by proov. I did manage tonstay away from Mira. Tests should be here on time. It requires testing your pre ovulatory level but that was zero so I just uploaded a LH cheapy for this one 😂 it didn’t read zero as my LH is low at this time of the cycle but i still landed in green zone and OK for pre O time. I hate amazon since it’s so convenient to shop there 😜
Yesterday we had guests over with a one year old. Gosh how my 11yo loved to play with him. That was sooo fun but painful at the same time. It’s getting more harder to keep my usual optimism alive and I can’t even shake the fair at any point of the cycle. I got my first grey hair few days ago and it truly scared me. I truly hate my age 😞

Hiya ladies, my tests are still light but I was at the hospital for 2 nights with a suspected ectopic. They checked my HCG over 2 days and it went from 23 to 46 which it doubled but it is still low for 5 weeks. They're booking me in for a scan on the 9th and I'm hoping by then the tests are going to be darker

Surely with a HCG of 46 the tests should be darker as they have to be 10 or 25 depending on the tests you are using yet they're still faint ? Confusing. Anyway they don't suspect ectopic anymore and just think it was way too early too see a pregnancy as they scanned me a few days ago and couldn't see anything at all

@Rose38 Im so sorry to hear this. I agree with @WeightoftheWorld there are no right answers here.

Sorry I feel like I should know this but what age are you and did you have any issues conceiving your other kids?

I only ask because I had 3mcs before I had DC1 when I was 29/30. The NHS initially dismissed it as bad luck, but given my age I didn’t believe it so I paid to have testing privately which found that I have an autoimmune condition that impacts pregnancy. It can develop at any time and often causes secondary infertility. In my case I have to take steroids from ovulation to basically stop my immune system from
attacking the pregnancy, and that enabled me to have DCs 1 and 2 (and hopefully 3).

Anyway it is most likely that this is just bad luck for you, but just mentioning in case you wanted to look into it at some point.

@Ifyouknowyouknowyouknow I'm 38 but will be 39 in a few weeks time. With my last 2 pregnancies I didn't have any issues. When ttc for #2 I experienced one really bad miscarriage but it was definitely as I was not aware I was pregnant and went abroad..during that trip I did a lot of heavy lifting (with the pushchair & luggage etc) and I think that definitely caused the miscarriage.

I'm going to call the GP tomorrow and ask them to do a blood test and scan..I had an appointment with them today (for a sinus infection) & asked them briefly about the chemical pregnancies. They said they can investigate it.

I feel so upset that I've had two in a row. I should be excited that I'm going on holiday in a few weeks time & also because of my new job but in all honesty, I would rather have had a baby than those things 😔😔

I bought Pregnacare his and hers conception tablets and I'm going to try those and still try next cycle & hope for the best.

9/10 DPO (premom and Natural Cycles disagree on this) and I've had a stark white negative test and my BBT has started to drop, so I'm guessing this isn't my month. Would have been nice to catch first cycle, but also not too disappointed either because it's been nice to see that my cycle seems to have shifted back to what it was like before my last pregnancy. Hoping the crazy heavy periods that I'd been having the past few months are more normal now too!

Just spoke to my GP and have been booked for a blood test. I had an internal scan in November (for something else) but I hadn't spoken to any GP regarding the results afterwards as the receptionist told me results look normal. I asked the GP today to check it over and he said the report looks fine, no issues. He thinks I shouldn't have any issue getting pregnant considering that report & also because I have 2 children already 🤷‍♀️ Will wait and see what the blood test results show. Have booked them for next week.

How's everyone else doing?

That sounds positive @Rose38 but must feel a bit like it gives you no further understanding or plan of action, maybe?

AF arrived here this morning a few days early. BBT had dropped again today so was entirely expected. However, it does mean that my cycle length is basically back to what it was before I became pregnant with my youngest, which I'm really happy about. Hopefully I'll ovulate a bit earlier this month now too!
