@Ifyouknowyouknowyouknow completely understand your apprehension. Are you going to get in there in there with an early scan? Just for the reassurance so you can relax 🥰

Ifyouknowyouknowyouknow · 19/01/2024 10:51

Thanks everyone. I’m still in shock and still haven’t told DH. Think I will try to get another test over the weekend and if it’s a good line tell him then.

I think I’m in denial partly because it was actually accidental this month and partly because I’m afraid to get my hopes up that it will all work out.
I got a promotion at work that was effective 1 Jan and literally got pregnant on 2 Jan 🙈…I think they will be furious. I’m just all over the place. Sorry I know it probably seems really foolish and insensitive to not just be straightforwardly over the moon about it.

I will definitely get an early scan. All 4 of my previous losses were early with no heartbeat at 7 weeks so I will book one in for then.

Don't apologise! You're being completely realistic with your history in your mind and I would/will be exactly the same.....getting that scan booked in early and not telling anyone! As lovely as our DH's are I'm sure 🤣 they hype us up with excitement and then sometimes it's not helpful. Plus it's actually nice to keep it to yourself for a bit

I'm feeling guilty because I've stopped breastfeeding my youngest (nearly 2) because I'm pretty certain that it's affecting my cycle. Since it returned in August my cycle has been 33-37 days with ovulation on day 25-28. Prior to my last pregnancy it was 28-30 days and I ovulated on day 15-17. I was only feeding at night 1-2 times max, so it might not make sense massive difference. I also have really sore boobs when I'm in my first trimester and have no interest in breastfeeding if I'm feeling like that! However, I'm feeling guilty because my youngest was showing no signs of being ready to stop. That said, after a huge sulk the night before last they were much better about it last night.

Rose38 · 19/01/2024 14:00

So I have 4 days left till my periods are due and I did a Easy@home pregnancy test today (not FMU) and I can see the faintest of lines. Not sure if you can see it from the photo but it's definitely there.

The last cycle I had a chemical pregnancy. This cycle I'm not feeling half the amount of symptoms I did last cycle. About 2 or 3 nights ago I had intense cramping at night which I assumed were period pains. Have been getting boob pain but it seems much less than previously. The main thing that made me test is that I have been feeling intense nausea sometimes after eating usually or sometimes just randomly. Been feeling some cramping down below as well.

Hate the waiting but looks like I will need to continue testing each day to see if line progresses or disappears.

MrsPepper82 · 19/01/2024 16:06

@Ifyouknowyouknowyouknow I also would want to know for sure before letting my DH know. This time I shared few days after so thathe wouldn’t get any hopes. I have many high progesterone symptoms that he takes as pregnancy ones.
@Rose38 ohhh I hope your line goes in the right direction 🥰 I do see it.

I have a very bad habit. Whenever I see some things that are not working I try to figure out how to improve. Now there is absolutely nothing in my power to improve. I feel powerless. And getting absurd ideas about maybe buying Mira fertility tracker that would cost for me (as I am in Estonia and there are limited supply here) more than 450 eur. And there isn’t much point in that as doctors have made sure all is in perfect order so this is not for me. Just hope I can keep my cool and stay away from stupid stuff.

Well here we go. This is 13dpo and period due tomorrow. Not the strongest line but looks like my others did at this point.

Oh yeeeaaaah!!! 🎉🎉🎉 Congratulations! ❤️❤️❤️

That looks gooooood 👀

How many DPO are you roughly? 💜

WhatTheEll · 19/01/2024 19:35

I ovulated earlier!! Fricking felt it 😣 got my peak yesterday (although only tested morning and and night because I was in London so may or may not have missed the actual peak). Managed to do DTD around midday today 🥳 and used my fertility cup so 🤞🏻

1DPO tomorrow..........

@WhatTheEll Roughly about 10 or 11 DPO.

From memory that looks good for an easy@home test. Looking forward to seeing your progression 🙏🏻

AnaFox · 19/01/2024 19:41

I have nothing to report except that I'm taking a boatload of supplements and hoping for the best lol this is like a last resort I guess 🤷🏻‍♀️

I'm hoping that my period arrives soon so that I can try for the next cycle.

Definitely ok to feel all over the place, there are no mandatory ways to feel. Hope things are clearer for you soon.

AF just over for me, a new cycle begins. My ‘day 21 bloods’ taken last month have been lost apparently so need to do it again.

Rose38 · 19/01/2024 22:13

@AnaFox Which supplements are you taking? I normally take Pregnacare before my pregnancies but this time around I haven't bothered. Have just been taking folic acid and vitamin D. I'm not sure if that is enough though

Rose38 · 19/01/2024 22:18

@MrsPepper82 Try not to buy the tracker..it sounds so expensive & doesn't seem like you need it. Try and take a more relaxed approach and hopefully you will get your positive soon. I know it's hard not to stress.

I've spent a crazy amount of money on ovulation & pregnancy tests. Literally my bathroom cupboards and draws have so many different tests of different brands 🙈 Only been ttc since about Sept after I came off the pill so it hasn't been too long.

I'm taking:
. Fertility Smart conceive for women
. Vitamin C 1000MG
. Omega 3
. Ubiquinol 200mg x3 times a day (or 2 because I forget one of them frequently, but it's fine since the fertility Smart one also has 100mg coQ10) - coQ10 has been mentioned by several Drs for fertility
. Extra vitamin D 2000UI + vit K - because I have a hard time making vit D (it's important to get a vit D + vit K supplement)

My husband has been taking the Heights multivitamin for a while now and I've also been "making" him take ubiquinol 200/mg per day.

I spent a week reading about all the different supplements and watching videos by fertility doctors and what they advised for fertility and then finally decided on these ones 🤷🏻‍♀️

But I'm 41 and we've been trying for a while, I feel like I'm in a race against time, so I'm just trying everything except medical intervention. If that turns out to be our last resort then we'll call it quits and I'll start selling all the baby clothes, etc...

MrsPepper82 · 20/01/2024 06:08

@Rose38 I really needed that, thank you ☺️ I should just stick to LH strips and will not even update my stack on CB.

@AnaFox I also today think that’s as far as I go.

Now in February it will be a year for us, 20th of February I took my IUD out. Only regret is that I didn’t check my hormones right away as I thought it can take 3 months of getting things back in order for my body and discovered my Hashimoto's later than I could. And that treatment plan didn’t work at first so from all those aspects it’s kinda like second time to try with any real possibility.

Rose38 · 20/01/2024 09:31

@AnaFox I think sometimes we put too much pressure on ourselves by reading up on the internet etc. I honestly do think stress makes the ttc process take longer. My sister in law when she was ttc #2 it was taking so long that she was going to go to a specialist. So I said to her to calm down and try not to stress and think about it all the time. Within 2 months she called me to tell me she's pregnant.

I know age is something that stresses people out too. Myself included. I will be 39 next month. But so many women these days are having babies at a later age. It has become quite common.

Rose38 · 20/01/2024 09:40

I did a First Reponse test last night. I left it in the bathroom and forgot to check it. This morning I checked and there is a very very faint second line. The test is out of date but previous cycles it has never been wrong & always given negative results. For some reason there is someone on Ebay who sells bulk out of date First Response tests. I have seen online though that they usually do work properly.

Also did another Easy@home this morning & still faint line same as yesterday. I know HCG doubles every 48 hours to hopefully tomorrow will be a bit different.

Feeling really stressed as I had that chemical last month. Really praying that this one sticks 🙏 Period is due in 3 days.

I did have a lot of nausea first thing this morning when I woke up. For some reason the main symptom I have is nausea this time.

WeightoftheWorld · 20/01/2024 15:41

@Beginningless what! That's rubbish about the lost bloods!

Ugh the app just isn't working for me properly with tagging for the last few weeks, so I've managed to do one tag above and it won't let me tag anyone else! Rose I wanted to tag you to say I have my fingers crossed for you! We've been ttc for around the same amount of time, September was my first cycle.

I don't take any supplements except for the conception version of Pregnacare. And I just took folic acid and vit D before my other two pregnancies. I try to take as relaxed an approach as possible, I don't do ovulation test trips, I've never done a pregnancy test unless my period was clearly late etc. But appreciate I'm young so don't have the age related concerns/pressures.

Ifyouknowyouknowyouknow · 20/01/2024 17:22

@Rose38 sounds promising! I trust FRERs though I think there’s been an issue with them lately as they’re really hard to get hold of. The boots own brand early tests are pink dye and I had a line at 10dpo on those this time.

I’m taking omega 3, vitamin D, vitamin B complex, COQ10, baby aspirin and inofolic.

I still haven’t told DH or really feel ready to accept it yet. I don’t have any symptoms really but the medication I’m on (prednisolone) can mask them so it doesn’t really mean anything.

OP posts:
Beginningless · 20/01/2024 17:53

@WeightoftheWorld yes a bit rubbish. I should’ve checked sooner as was wondering why I hadn’t heard from them but line was always busy when I rang.

Sounds promising with the nausea @Rose38, everything crossed for you.

I also started off this ttc time (18mo ago) temping, OPKs etc. But for me it did leave me thinking about it all the time and everything felt too stressy. Then we took a break of several months, not convinced we wanted to do this, but decided we wanted to give it another go, and decided not to bother with any of that this time. So far neither approach has been successful though!! Also know ivf etc not for us. I’m assuming I’ll know when it’s time to stop. Hoping!

Welshcake15 · 20/01/2024 19:43

I don't know if it's the supplements or stopping breastfeeding (would that make a difference already?!), but it looks like my body is gearing up for ovulation nearly 10 days earlier than it had done in previous months!

Of course, we currently we have friends staying with us for the weekend and we haven't DTD since Wednesday, which I didn't think would matter since I wasn't due to ovulate until next weekend!🙈Having said that, my CM is still creamy, so perhaps nothing will happen for a few days with any luck!

I think I was more stressed in the beginning though. I thought it was going to be quick, but then saw the months passing by and was always in stress in the last days of the month testing like crazy. I had one month that really got me down (and I came here to rant lol) and had a good cry and it really helped me lighten up about this.

I looked for information due to my age (41 and TTC for 8 cycles now) and really feeling like I needed a little help (and because I'm a geek and love to know more about all the things 😅) and it was actually very useful 😊

I don't think in my case it's just a question of relaxing and not thinking about it too much, I think it's more like a race against time. Once women turn 40 egg quality is the factor that makes conceiving and maintaining the pregnancy much less likely 🤷🏻‍♀️
