@Ifyouknowyouknowyouknow I have not seen a negative test turning positive after waiting in my life, I have tried a lot 😂
So 🤞
Of course there’s always my worry- is it going to progress or will it fade.
I want to avoid is it darker limbo so going to have to force myself to stay away until 2days. Not sure I can make it, if wishing to be pregnant would make it happen I would definitely be.

I think I see a line @MrsPepper82!

I had a false positive over the summer with a clearblue test - a proper blue line showed up after the testing window and when I googled it I found loads of stories of similar. Boycotting those tests now!

This one is a pink dye test and there is a definite line but I’ve been here many times before so not going to get excited yet. Or tell anyone IRL!

I haven't been on here in a while. Last week was my ovulating week and I had really bad case of thrush. No itching at first but bad stomach pains. Then had a little itching so realised it must be thrush. The pain was so unbearable that I took a thrush tablet although it does say not to take if you're ttc.

I'm 7DPO now and last few days my boobs have been really sore. Been feeling nausea after I eat anything for last 3 days. Since yesterday even have nausea before eating. Can feel a lot of cramping and pains in my stomach. Today felt lots of stretching pain down there.

We managed to dtd a good number of times this month. Since I had a chemical pregnancy last month, we decided to give a better try this month as I read that woman are more fertile after a chemical pregnancy. But feeling very nervous now...

Hope we can get some positives on the group soon 🤞

AnaReis · 14/01/2024 16:38

@MrsPepper82 I can definitely see a line!!! Getting excited for you! Keep us posted! 😍

Applesandcake · 14/01/2024 21:08

Grr. So trying really hard not to get stressed or obsessive over this… but I’m in my fertile window (estimating ovulating in two or three days) and OH is too tired tonight :(

Last month was during our first cycle ttc, we dtd in the morning whilst kids watched tv very quickly! I preferred this way as I felt leaving it until after they went to bed was too risky, what if then mucked about and wouldn’t go to bed? What if we were shattered? But OH complained about it and said he wanted to dtd in the evenings this time as it’s more enjoyable - but third night in and he’s told me he’s too tired as he’s been knocking down a garden she’d all day! I don’t want to make dtd feel like a chore so of course tried to be casual and say of course (whilst “casually” stressing that we can’t miss the next 3/4 days though and that this is why the morning might be better!), but inside I do feel deflated. I know it’s only one day and hopefully I won’t ovulate until Wednesday and some research suggests every other day is better anyway, but it just feels like it’s not as big a priority to him as it is to me (which in all honesty, it isn’t! He’s much more laid back about it).

Just needed to rant! Hoping I don’t ovulate until Wednesday now 🤞

Beginningless · 14/01/2024 22:02

Ooh that’s exciting @MrsPepper82 ! Everything crossed for you. And you @Rose38 AF for me today as expected. Don’t feel too bad, last month I thought it was it which is worse when it’s not.

@Applesandcake , definitely know that anxiety, sounds like you did well to keep it to yourself though. Ttc sex is a weird thing sometimes, we never had it before with having first time babies and I’m glad, it definitely becomes a chore at some points and hard to keep the mood when it’s so functional at times..

I wonder if you can suggest positions where he can be more relaxed, such as lady on top? Just wondering 🤔

MrsPepper82 · 15/01/2024 05:58

That was over fast 😂 My temp dropped from 37.12 to 36.96 and resting heat rate also dropped this morning so I thought to get this over with and from my fmu got my fully fantasy free blank. I hope that this very small delay in my normal dropping doesn’t have affect on cycle and now I hope that I get my period in time 🤓
I am grateful I didn’t stick on my original plan to wait with testing as I would have just hoped and feared for no reason.
I like clarity and can always look forward.

here you talked about smoking - he has never done that. My worry is about how to influence my husband to cut down alcohol. His drinking habits are far worse than I or doctors would like. But studies say even when sperm analysis can come back fine, there can be issue with developing in to an embryo.

And this being too tired is also familiar, you can’t really get a husband in to a right mood to even think about any position. In November we missed best options due to that. I also am against making it a chore.

@Ifyouknowyouknowyouknow hopefully you have better luck 🍀

If it happens again this cycle, I will try this! I imagine I could convince him without too my difficulty… but it just felt like it would be a bit contrived given we both would know I was only initiating because of the timing!

As it turns out my cheap ovulation test is still stark white. Normally it gradually gets darker over a few days and then about 12 hours before a try blazing positive, I can predict it as the line is suddenly a lot darker, heading towards that positive,

So now I’m wondering, do I trust the advanced blue and assume I will ovulate on Wednesday, so dtd every day; or do I go with the cheapy and we dtd every other day until I get the positive/static smiley. Hmm I guess we will dtd today and then reassess tomorrow, if it’s still stark white though I’m not sure what to do!

l have been getting a flashy smiley on the advanced since Friday. Last cycle I ovulated day 12, which would be tomorrow, but normally I ovulate on cycle day 15… so who blooming knows now!!

I have a friend who dtd every day with her husband in normal life anyway, that would make ttc so much easier! Just carry on as normal. We definitively do not normally dtd every day though normally!

We're also not the kind of DTD every day... I mean, my husband would happily do that, as he's always ready 😅 but not me 🤦🏻‍♀️ that would definitely make things easier.

I can't help you with the opk though... I've never used them 🤔

Ifyouknowyouknowyouknow · 15/01/2024 10:35

I haven’t tested again yet…will save it for tomorrow as should be a good line then. Tbh I’m now in an absolute blind panic about whether we’ve done the right thing.

Sorry @MrsPepper82 not better news for you.

We went through that phase as well where my husband would be tired or not in the mood during previous cycles. I think I made it worse by going on about which day had the best chance etc. So last 2 cycles I haven't mentioned ovulation to him at all. And to make things less like a chore we have been trying different positions. This cycle he seemed more eager & willing 😂

I was using that same Clearblue ovulation test as you but now last 2 cycles I have been using the Clearblue pink ovulation tests..that one only shows the 2 days it finds a surge with a smiley face. I found this much easier than waiting for the flashing smiley to turn static. I have been using internet cheapies as soon as period finishes & then using the Clearblue around 3 or 4 days before when I think I will ovulate. I realised you can buy cheap Clearblue ovulation tests on Ebay. Usually people who have gotten pregnant end up selling their left over tests on there.

MrsPepper82 · 15/01/2024 11:31

@Applesandcake I get super fast surge and 2 days before peak cheapy stripes show 0,05 on the app. It looked same as my yesterday’s pregnancy test 😂
So I would take the hint from CB for sure if I would be in your shoes.
Now I myself have only one CB advanced stick left. I wonder if I would confirm O on my possible peak day would it show static or that mandatory empty circle as it still maps my baseline.
@Ifyouknowyouknowyouknow Younare Keeping thinga interesting still 🤞

I've been the same with trying for my last two DC and didn't tell my DH at all that we were "trying". We'd agreed that we wanted me to get pregnant, but that's as far as our joint planning went. I used ovulation testing and BBT testing to find my fertile period and just made sure that we DTD a lot during that time (also helps I get ovulation pain, which helped make things even more specific!)

Going with the same plan this time, except I've also booked our kids free night away for the month at a (hopefully) strategic time too! 😂

Hmmm I think you might be right. I normally had a gradual increase in the darkening, so this is new for me to being stark white results but it feels too risky to hold off! I’m trying to gently convince OH to potentially the whole week of dtd every day!! Which is hilarious as normally he’d think in theory that would be amazing but it turns out his sex drive is not quite every day level!

MrsPepper82 · 15/01/2024 14:23

Every day may not even be needed, fertility doc suggested after approx 36h-48h because too often may also be the best from amount perspective.

Thanks guys…I am shitting myself!

@Applesandcake this was cycle 4 for me. We were meant to be sitting this cycle out so I could have a repeat blood test but we had a little mishap on the day of my 37th birthday 🙈 so it was only just the once.

I haven’t told DH yet and don’t know how he is going to take it! I’ve had 4 miscarriages pre 6 weeks so also know not to get too excited until I’ve seen a heartbeat.
