@L0ts yeeeessss congratulations!!! ❤️

L0ts · 02/01/2024 21:15

@WhatTheEll Absolutely 🙈

Can I ask everybody actually, what was your sickness like during each of your previous pregnancies? I’ve only ever had it so bad and even worse with my second I’m completely dreading it completely kicking in. I also remember last time around 7/8 weeks I was so bone crushingly tired I could barely get out of bed. My one year old is so clingy to me I can’t imagine feeling how I did when pregnant with him with a small child constantly attached to me 😅

Zero nausea with DC1, lots of nausea with DC2 up to about week 8/9. Tired yes, hungry...YES! I hope it's all ok for you. You just need to get the first trimester out the way and you'll be hunky dory 🤞🏻🤞🏻🥰

@L0ts I actually was a lucky one, no sickness at all with my two, opposite- increased appetite 👀

Ifyouknowyouknowyouknow · 02/01/2024 22:12

@L0ts if it’s any consolation my two
pregnancies were completely different sickness-wise. None at all for DC1 (boy), sick as a dog with DC2 (girl).

Fingers crossed all goes ok for you!

We had a mishap last night…DH’s fault entirely!! Pretty sure I am ovulating today so it was well timed 🤦‍♀️.

We were meant to be waiting until next month to try so that I could repeat my blood test, so really shouldn’t have, though was just the once so I guess chances are slim anyway.

How is everyone else doing?

@Ifyouknowyouknowyouknow Maybe it’s meant to be? 🙈🤷🏻‍♀️

Thank you everybody for your congratulations! ❤️ And thank you for somewhat reassuring me that maybe I might not be super unlucky with the sickness this time but I’ll keep you all updated 😂

I just did a frer and one step cheapie after a two hour hold! From my dates I’m 11dpo today. They are looking like good lines right? I don’t feel as obsessed to test like I did with my second (took about 2 every day for like 10 days) but still it’s nice to get reassurance a little.

Ifyouknowyouknowyouknow · 03/01/2024 17:16

Those are great lines @L0ts! stop testing now!

Im a bit annoyed with myself because if I was going to try this month I’d have liked to have had a few more shots at it rather than just the one…am blatantly going to have a little bit of hope in the tww but probably for nothing!

That FRER looks great for 11DPO!

@Ifyouknowyouknowyouknow fingers crossed that one time is all you need 🤞🏻🤞🏻

@L0ts very nice clear lines 🥰 stop testing..at least for a week

@WhatTheEll I did I did!! I did the second clear blue too because I wanted to see what the line looked like in the morning! It really still hasn’t quite sunk in 🙈

Congratulations!! 🎉 exciting news 😊

WhatTheEll · 02/01/2024 19:13

@Rose38 how are you doing? Xxx

Sorry just saw your message now as I haven't checked here for a little while. Am doing ok..still feeling sad about the chemical pregnancy but now focused on this new cycle. I read online that women are more fertile after a chemical pregnancy so I'm hoping that this cycle might be the one.

On a side note, my husband has booked us flights to Canada for the Feb half term. 8 hour direct flight. If I do manage to get pregnant before then, would this be ok? When trying for #2 I had a miscarriage (didn't realise I was pregnant) whilst on holiday abroad and I feel like the journey & carrying pushchair etc set it off.
I don't want to put a pause on our ttc because I think ttc is far more important than this holiday. Obviously if I were to get pregnant then I would be extra careful.

How are you doing?

I'm one of those lucky people who barely was sick. I literally only threw up maybe twice each of my 2 pregnancies and that was it for the whole pregnancy. I had nausea quite badly with both though for a period of time..probably like a couple of weeks.

My sister in law was vomiting throughout her second pregnancy. First pregnancy she wasn't so bad (both girls).

Ifyouknowyouknowyouknow · 04/01/2024 11:10

@Rose38 I wouldn’t worry about the trip affecting things - at such an early stage of pregnancy I really don’t think the embryo/foetus could possibly be affected. Sounds like an amazing holiday (and also one that would be difficult to do in later pregnancy/with a small baby) so if I were you I would go and enjoy it!

I flew back from Egypt for more than 6h during implantation. Now that guy is 14 and 6feet 😂 so airplanes are safe.

So great to see some positive developments here too.

I had a sexy weekend planned according to my last half year 28/29 days cycle but this morning I already got my solid smiley so can’t wait till hotel weekend 😆🫣 action needed today 😂 Seems I truly am back with 27 day cycle as in my youth I had after we began to TTC. It’s amazing how body can react. And we have already been busy in my fertile window without any planning.

AnaFox · 04/01/2024 17:24

@WhatTheEll it.was £35 I think, because it was on black friday. I believe now it's £45, not too bad. You receive a kit in your home and then they have some instructions for you to basically prick your finger and get some drops of blood into a little test tub and send it their way. It shouldn't be too difficult, I hope, I'm not very squeamish with those things.

@L0ts I had terrible nausea and vomiting with both kids. With my youngest it started at 6 weeks on the dot and with my daughter it was around the 6 weeks mark as well. I also get extremely tired, I remember it was the first symptom lol I was with my at the time 3yo at the science museum in London feeling like I just wanted to crawl into a corner and sleep 🥴😴 then some days later I found out why 😅

I've been reading about fertility and I just convinced my husband to do 3 months of clean diet, no cheating and I'm going to buy coQ10 (and some other supplements, haven't finished reading 😅), which seems to help improve egg quality. From what I read the main factor that makes it harder to get pregnant after 40 is egg quality, so that's what I'm going to try and work on. It takes about 90 days for the egg maturing process to be complete, so we're going to start now and hope for the best lol

AnaFox · 04/01/2024 17:27

@Rose38 I think that miscarriages happen regardless of what we do or don't do, so don't beat yourself up because of your miscarriage during your holiday, it must be really heartbreaking 🥺 it isn't even recommended to make changes in your everyday life to try and stop a miss because evidence has shown it has no effect on the pregnancy and can be detrimental to the mum's physical and mental health. Even with high risk pregnancies is the same.

AnaFox · 04/01/2024 17:29

@Rose38 so, forgot to conclude, go on your holiday and enjoy yourself , being happy and relaxed is the best thing you can do, being pregnant or not ❤️ (I want my husband to book a holiday in February too! 😅)

Rose38 · 04/01/2024 21:48

Thanks for all the lovely messages 😊 Am feeling quite excited now about the holiday. And my husband seems keen to continue ttc in the meantime so it's all good. Maybe I just need to relax and hopefully that will help.

Quite lucky to be going on another holiday but the way I look at it is that if we do have another child then it's probably going to be a long while before we will venture on a big holiday. We already have two kids (7 & 4) so it can be a handful now. Luckily this Canada trip we will be staying at my husband's sister's house so it should be a bit more relaxed.

Ifyouknowyouknowyouknow · 06/01/2024 17:19

How is everyone doing?

Im 3 or 4dpo (based on cm and sex drive only!) and have been thinking about babies all day (and seeing them everywhere!). Too early to symptom spot though, even for me!

OP posts:
MrsPepper82 · 07/01/2024 06:55

I am 2 dpo and glad we didn’t need to wait for a hotel weekend as we have -20•c here and couldn’t leave dog outside and inside with kids was shaky topic - not sure I would like surprises we would have gotten from such company 😂
I have bow gotten the CM creamy/EW difference clear and also temping later and vaginally makes me easy and doesn’t create additional stress (fun fact throughout the temping period is, that my spile is on the peak day, always, never AFTER O) but what I never understand and still don’t is cervix position and openness. I try but can’t tell anything. Rarely it’s clearly one ornother and mostly just something in between.
And I don’t even get the point- is high positioning in the vagina - as cervix itself is low but that makes reaching it hard as it will be up there somewhere?
that makes low the opposite- easy to find but cervix itself is tall.
And does the cervix in its whole length soft or firm 😂
@Ifyouknowyouknowyouknow 🤞 we are close in our cycles, hope we can continue good new part that is opened by @L0ts

TT82 · 07/01/2024 07:18

Morning all, I am 12dpo but unfortunately out.. We had very good timing this cycle, was promising, but then was out on antibiotics as biopsy discovered inflamed uterus lining, and then on top got cold virus so bad that barely can keep my head up 😖
Hoping this tear will be a positive one for all of us!

WeightoftheWorld · 07/01/2024 09:07

@TT82 so we are sorta cycle buddies! I'm around the same time as you but my cycles aren't perfectly regular and I don't temp or anything so it's always just an estimate for me. FF says my period is due on Wednesday but I wouldn't consider myself late unless it's still not arrived by Friday as my cycle lengths vary a bit. Hope you're soon feeling better you poor thing what a time of it you're having!

Not optimistic at all for this month as we didn't get to dtd as much as hoped for various reasons.

Tbh I'm finding as time is going on I'm getting less bothered about it?! With my first two it was the opposite. With this one I'm now not eagerly awaiting to see if I get a period or not, I just assume I will get one and I don't feel disappointed when it comes. And when it gets close to the time I actually start to panic in case I am pregnant and get feelings of dread about the HG that would come, the precarious work situation I'm in, the financial strain of a third...not sure what to make of all that, I'm panicking a bit now whether if that's how I feel do I even want a third?! But me and DH talked about it extensively for months before we started ttc so it's not like it was a spur of the moment thing. Does anyone else feel similar?!

Ifyouknowyouknowyouknow · 07/01/2024 09:47

@WeightoftheWorld Im exactly the same! I think my desire for a third is basically totally controlled by my hormones. In the first half of my cycle I’m absolutely obsessed and certain it’s what we want, and then after ovulation im
filled with dread 🤣.

Its hard because we’ve got two happy healthy kids (different sexes), our lives are getting easier as childcare costs reduce and the kids are more independent, work is busy so I worry I don’t have enough time for them as it is…in many ways a third seems like utter madness. Still want one though.

OP posts:
TT82 · 07/01/2024 13:10

@WeightoftheWorld thank you! 🙏 now I hope this cycle we can try, as dr wants to do another biopsy to check no inflammation left...just hope they will schedule before the ovulation.
As soon as I know this cycle is out, I start thinking maybe better, maybe not fit for a baby anymore.. But then that's saying the person who did 2 egg collection already! So...my brain just wants to protect from failure and disappointment 😞
