Hi ladies I haven’t caught up on posts sorry, we were all ill at Christmas, 11 month old is on antibiotics for a chest infection and guess what the 4 year old came out with a couple days a go? Bloody shingles!!! 😰 I’m about 8dpo today, did a test this morning and couldn’t see anything, have just done another and I do see a faint line however I am thinking it’s maybe an indent? I looked after 4/5 mins and couldn’t see much.. looked again after 6/7 mins and this was there. What do you all think? This is a fermometre test, I think that’s how it’s spelt anyway 😂 I know there’s a huge possibility it’s an evap or indent but I’ve been taking these tests the last couple cycles and have never seen such an obvious looking evap/indent before.

A little more clearer here perhaps? Annoyingly the quality goes down loads when it uploads. I’m still very convinced it’s a naughty evap line 😂

How did my post disappear? @L0ts I think there is no reason for considering it an indent if it appears on multiple tests and on time.

@TT82 Thabk you so much! ❤️ I’m a little in denial still! We only dtd 3 times and all 3-5 days before ovulation! I thought there was no chance whatsoever 🙈

Can I join you, a bit late? Congratulations on a positive test on New Year’s Day! Lovely. I’m 42 and been ttc number 3 for over a year, on and off. We’ve had a couple of spells of deciding it’s not happening and maybe we should take the hint, but then both realising we really want to go for it if we can in this last little window. I’ve not even had any positive tests during this time. My first two were both conceived first cycle so haven’t experienced this before. They are nearly 8 and 5 so the age gap sometimes gives me a wobble, plus of course feeling ancient and creaky! Just entering tww now.

Even I can see that one @L0ts !! Many congratulations, what a lovely way to see in the new year!!

Thank you so much everyone! Couldn’t find any first responses! So had to grab clear blue, not my fave tests but needs must! Have a digital to take in the morning too! This was after a 1.5 hour hold as I was desperate!

I'm 41 and we've been trying for a 3rd for about 8 cycles now, more or less, without success or positive tests either. I have an 8yo girl and a little dude who's going to be 4 tomorrow! 🥳 so approximately the same ages. I also got pregnant at the first try with them and I've been realising that this clearly isn't the case this time.... I fear that it might be too late...
I just had a conversation with my OH today and he says he would like to have another one but doesn't want to do anything to help 🙄🤦🏻‍♀️... He says that if it doesn't happen naturally it's because it wasn't meant to be... I felt like slapping him and felt so sad.... I mean, I don't want to go via the IVF/ICSI or to take drugs, but I'd be ok with taking supplements or something to help or just to run some more tests.... Anyway I have the AMH test that I bought on black friday to take, which I'll do maybe next week when the kids are back to nursery/drop-off activities.

Thank you. What is the AMH test? I saw a herbalist a couple of months ago who gave me some herbs and spoke to Gp for first time last month. I’ve to go for a blood test on CD18, I think to check progesterone levels? That’s on Friday. Like you we wouldn’t do IVF etc but decided it’s worth knowing more about what the issue is.

It's the anti mullerian hormone, which indicates the ovarian reserve that my ovaries have. Basically if the ovarian reserve is low, then the chances of getting pregnant are also low. Even with a high AMH value, it says nothing of the egg quality so... it's just another information to have. The cheapest I've found is on Randox (one of the labs that was providing COVID tests).

I also went to the GP and she had me do some blood tests and ultrasound and all seems normal and fertile... I mentioned the AMH but she says they only do those tests in fertility clinics. I wanted my husband to do a spermogram but I'm almost sure he'll refuse unless I pressure him with divorce or something lol...

Oh dear, DH is worried about that too but for now they want to check me first. I can understand to be fair, pretty mortifying! Oh well good luck with the test, I hope at least it says your reserves are fine, would be comforting. I do feel like I ovulate monthly but who knows.

@AnaReis good luck with that test. How do you do the test? And how much if you don't mind me asking? 💜
My husband did a Superdrug sperm test a few years ago and all was well. My progesterone was also fine plus ultrasound was good a few years back also when we were TTC DC2.

8DPO here and negative tests so far. Not holding out much hope seeing as we had sick bug over ovulation 🤦🏻‍♀️

Welcome @Beginningless hope you find success soon!! I'm 37, DC1 is 6.5 and DC2 is 16 months so big age gap there! (DC1 has a rare genetic condition so reason for delay in TTC again). Been TTC now since August after first cycle PP (BF), I had a chemical. So I know it's possible 🤞🏻🤞🏻

@WhatTheEll I did I did!! I did the second clear blue too because I wanted to see what the line looked like in the morning! It really still hasn’t quite sunk in 🙈
