Last time was bery good development rate but all chromosomaly abnormal... but this time worse (some were overgrown and not even rate of maturity, think they overstimulated a bit).. though haven't tested them yet. But quality would explain my cp last 2 years 😕

Aww everyone seems to be having a down time atm. It can be hard near Xmas particularly I think. I'm on cycle 5 now, my period is just ending now. We conceived DC1 on cycle 5 and DC2 on cycle 4, so presuming we are unsuccessful this time again, it will be our longest time trying. I fully appreciate that it's still not a long time at all but it will still feel like a sad landmark for me I think, you know what I mean? It hasn't helped that since we've started trying, we have had a niece born, a nephew born, a close friend is pregnant, 3 people I work with are pregnant (2 of them falling pregnant later than we began ttc too) and so on!!

@TT82 yeah you're the same age as me 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ I feel like my time to get pregnant has run out 🤷🏻‍♀️ and maybe it really has... But I still cling on to the hope... 🙄

I’m sorry lots of people are having a hard time. It all sounds very rough and I just hope you all get your positive tests soon.

I got a positive ovulation test yesterday evening and it’s blazing this morning. Hoping I ovulate later today as we are getting tired dtd! I seem to have short lh surges and from what I’ve read the surge only drops after an egg has been released (or your body gives up if in the case of a mo the where you do not ovulate) - does anyone know for sure if this is the case? It’s not entirely clear online but looks that way. So I will keep testing and once my ovulation tests goes back to negative will assume I’ve ovulated and start the tww!

Hope everyone is okay. Just about to enter the tww of cycle 2 and honestly not at all feeling positive this month as we’ve only managed to dtd 3 times and they were all before ovulation. 11 month old is waking all night and going through a major separation anxiety stage so feeling a little worn out and crazy for wanting another.. so maybe not the end of the world if it doesn’t happen this month!? 😂 As I can’t imagine pregnancy sickness/tiredness on top!

@TTT82 and @MrsPepper82 and other ladies that might be 40 or over (or near 40). I was watching this video, it's not very interesting, it's about risks of being pregnant after 40 but doesn't talk about percentages so it can be needlessly scary. What I loved to read were the comments where loooads of ladies comment on how they got pregnant naturally after 40 and went on to have healthy pregnancies ☺️ it gave me so much hope that I thought I'd share ❤️

@TT82 whenever ivf is in question I feel like I completely loose any mandate to talk about being defeated. I have read about egg quality also being something one can get higher and on youtube there are fertility clinics even advising how to do that.
DH still managed to give a sample to my surprise. Unfortunately first part of the results indicate super high oxydative stress and the sperm has not lined up yet. Hopefully it will come before doctor’s appointment.
AF came one day early this time compared to my last year’s luteal phase. I am grateful it did cause getting it on Christmas eve would have been extra sad. Not that I would have expected anything else - I will skip bbt as my rhr is soo much easier to track and much much more reliable. So only need to wait till CD 8 do know if there is any hope.

@AnaReis yes, I also have read soo much about successful pregnancies in 40 that I truly trust this to be reality for us also soon.
7 months still for us to succeed 🤞

Sorry I've been MIA. DH had food poisoning about 3 weeks ago and we've just had both the DC with sickness bugs this last week, then yesterday we both started with it!! Couldn't write it! 😢😢😭😭 so Xmas cancelled until Weds. To top it off....I'm ovulating! Don't ask me how but we DTD yesterday and will try tomorrow too 🤞🏻🤞🏻

What an awful week! Sickness bugs are the absolute worst. Fingers crossed by some miracle it all pays off.

We went together to fertility doctors’s appointment and I am amazed. She gave us no treatment as there just is nothing to treat. My results were super, she said that she has rarely ever seen such numbers. And that with my egg account we can try safely on our own and if in half a year we feel like going the next step then we can try IVF but there is no reason not giving nature a chance.
As we used to have issues with sperm already 17 years ago I was preparing for same. Now the numbers were totally normal and volume even double the norm. So there is nothing to improve.
Her takeaway was also that TSH is now stable and ideal so that is now eliminated as a main reason.
So off we go 🤞🧚🏻‍♀️

I am so confused...got a positive test on Friday. Weekend the tests only had faint outline of second line. These were all on Easy at home tests. Since then all tests are negative even though my periods are now 4 days late. Boobs and stomach hurting. Felt stretching pains in stomach for days on end. Boobs are bigger & heavier.
Just tried a Clearblue but it's negative.

The test is positive no doubt... I wonder if it could be a chemical?

I'm in solidarity! We also have a sickness bug in the house! My brother in law brought a sickness bug to our house and my father in law brought a cold bug, so we're all ill! I spent the 25th in the loo dying with diarrhea and being sick 🤢

As the cherry on top, AF showed up today!....

Anyone experience a chemical? How long afterwards would the bleeding start? And should the pains have stopped by now? Like the pain in boobs etc.
That test did turn positive after the time but the following days I saw faint outline of second line so I'm not sure if maybe they could have been faulty 🤷‍♀️ all of those tests were from the same box. All other brands are showing a clear negative.

Bleeding just started 🤦‍♀️ Will see what happens now...

@Rose38 I have heard so much negative about those tests giving lines that are not visible on other tests nor are they always full lines, part is missing. I would stay away from these. One step never gives false hope - full on negative only 😂

Really? I kept reading people on mumsnet saying Easy@home tests are reliable. Otherwise I normally would have just used One step or some other internet bulk ones.

I used easy @ home pregnancy test last time and had no issues. But I only ever tested the one time when I was properly late and it was positive. I never test before I'm due.

We haven't been able to dtd much this cycle unfortunately so I'm particularly pessimistic. This is cycle 5 so if we arent successful then we move to a new phase of 'longest ever time ttc' as 5 cycles is the longest with our previous kids. Fully appreciate how fortunate we've been of course but doesn't feel like a nice milestone to face all the same!

So sorry 😞 I've used easy@home a lot and got many shadow lines but nothing that strong that wasn't a positive. Fingers crossed it all works out well for you xx

Looks like it was a chemical pregnancy. Been having an insane amount of blood come out..quite a lot of big bits as well. The pain has been really bad the last two nights as well.
Guess I'll just have to try again the next cycle.

@Rose38 ahhhh I'm so so sorry 😢 it's so disheartening. Get through this period and you'll be out the other side ready to start again 💜 chemicals, although difficult, are a good sign that it's all possible. I had a chemical in Aug/Sept time, first cycle back PP, and I tried to see the positive in it xx

Fingers crossed 🤞 that we all get our positives soon. It's so sad having to go through all these things each month.

Sorry @Rose38 hope you're soon feeling better too. Tbh we are not having much luck in this thread recently are we?? Hopefully 2024 will be full of BFPs!! Although mine definitely won't be coming in January given we only managed to do dtd twice and it was too early I think.
