TTC baby no2. Dpo 4. Anyone else?

From this month on, we are trying for an other baby.

I know that it might take some time, but I have a strong feeling that it happened this month. I had a similar intuition with my first child - I just knew it. I'm afraid I'll be extremely disappointed if the result is negative.

I hope I'm not the only one who feels this way and I will get some support here. I feel lonely this time around- cant really talk to anyone about it except my husband (who is very relaxed and doesnt get that this is the only thing on my mind right now). Looking for some support here!

@ttcflowerxx I would probably wait and see. I usually have very strong periods (have to get up sometimes 3 times during the night to change pads) or very weak (those one only since I gave birth). Maybe your period also changing? I guess its something to do with hormones.
I would suggest to take iron tablets - I used to have iron issues due to my heavy period.

@ttcflowerxx So at the start it can take your cycle a while to get back to normal.
I have also had incredibly heavy periods since my son was born.
I did speak to my GP about this and she said it is often the case that periods get heavier after you have had a child.
But she did send me for an ultrasound to look for fibroid and endometriosis.
It was clear as far as they could tell.
But then again she did warn me it's almost impossible to identify endometriosis without surgery

@MrsP21918 my periods after I finished breastfeeding were very heavy, and that was in comparison to my pre-pregnancy periods which weren’t exactly on the light side!
They still can be now but heavier over a shorter time, so 3 days over 5/6 which it used to be.

I’m here just waiting for AF. I’m so bloated today and emotional/anxious/on edge. Work and life stuff not helping with that so not putting it down to symptoms apart from premenstrual possibly. A bit of good news with a BFP would have been incredible this month but I’m pretty sure it’s not going to happen this cycle.
I’m not going to test anymore, just wait for AF. Due Thursday-Sunday(ish).

AF arrived for me last night so I'm out. Onto cycle 6!

Does anyone know if it’s sensible to continue DTD on days you think are fertile, even without EWCM? Or wait for the EWCM?

I ovulated early this cycle, (or I think I did!) Had a solid smiley on Friday and yesterday on CD10. So going to class tomorrow as 1DPO.

@Pupsandturtles I didn't use ovulation test in my last cycle, only went by cervical mucus. However, I didn't get ewcm, just very very wet, clear one- still managed to get pregnant so I wouldn't necessarily wait for the ewcm.

I’m CD18 today and still haven’t peaked on my OPKs but it’s looking close so will test again this afternoon. Gearing myself up for another short luteal phase! If it’s still really short this month I think I’m going to try and cut down on breastfeeding even more but I just feel guilty on my daughter.

Thanks @Katherina02837 ! @MrsP21918 I am in a similar boat- ovulation now predicted for CD16! I’m not BFing though, so don’t know what’s going on. It’s usually CD12 for me. I wish we knew more about the different things that can affect our cycles… feels like it’s so much guesswork!

@Pupsandturtles Its so much guesswork isn’t it!! I know stress can have an impact - but it’s impossible not to stress ha! I wonder if I stop doing the OPKs but unfortunately sex isn’t that typical with a 15 month old so feel like we’d never manage to time it right haha.

We’ve DTD a few times in the past week so I hope I ovulate today/tomorrow before we run out of steam 😂

@AC2023 I got some positive lines well after the time on one answer strips at about 11/12dpo but don't waste your money buying them. I ended up testing on a frer the day after my period was due to get my 'proper' positive. I think. I can't get the definite dpo as I have changed my Flo to pregnancy mode so it no longer shows my ovulation date

I've taken this this morning (8dpo or 9dpo) and im sure I could see something but left it alone, went out and checked again later and saw this.. what does everyone think? Am I being silly?

I’m 6DPO today, AF due Friday. CD26 and I started to bleed on CD25 last month so glad my cycle is at least seeming to be a bit longer this month!

Hi everyone, don’t know if any of you remember me from last cycle but I need to vent/advice!

I am so, so confused. I started spotting Thursday and yesterday it had picked up a bit, leaving some blood on pads but still pretty light and has been the same today. I marked yesterday as the start of my period. I just decided to do a cheapie test for no other reason than being crazy!! The line popped up almost instantly. I’m shaking. I don’t know whether this is a chemical or like my first pregnancy where I had a lot of bleeding, starting from around the time I found out I was pregnant. I’m terrified it is a chemical but equally so nervous at the prospect of another scary pregnancy full of bleeding. I don’t know what to think or do!

I'm out this month, AF hasn't arrived yet (due weds) but I had my LH surge crazy early in the cycle which apparently means the egg is too immature to be fertilised. BFNs on early detection so onto next cycle!

Cycle 2/3 of trying for number 2. Number 1 took 13 months and I’m really dreading the same again because of what trying for the first did to me/us. It was awful! I also wanted to hold off from joining any threads because I’m sure that will have added to ttc taking over my life last time, but here we are 🙃

I’m 12dpo today with bfn this morning, so just waiting for AF arriving tomorrow/weekend now.
