From this month on, we are trying for an other baby.

I know that it might take some time, but I have a strong feeling that it happened this month. I had a similar intuition with my first child - I just knew it. I'm afraid I'll be extremely disappointed if the result is negative.

I hope I'm not the only one who feels this way and I will get some support here. I feel lonely this time around- cant really talk to anyone about it except my husband (who is very relaxed and doesnt get that this is the only thing on my mind right now). Looking for some support here!

@FSGirl So I have certainly logged being emotional in my charts in the past. And I did kind of cry at the paw patrol movie and generally had a pretty emotional/ sad day on Sunday. So after ovulation. I do think hormones generally can cause it. Not sure I would be tempted to read into it in terms of a pregnancy sign though.

MrsP21918 · 13/10/2023 07:47

@ReginaPhalange12 @AC2023
Thank you both so much! Feeling a little better this morning, as you say at least there’s no getting my hopes up or dragging it out. Just concerned about my luteal phase particularly as I’m still breastfeeding my daughter but we will just have to see how next month goes.

Please update with how you both get on! Hoping for BFPs soon ❤️

Katherina02837 · 13/10/2023 08:59

@FigandHoney Good news about the BBT! How are you tracking it? I have three different types of thermometer (ear, head, mouth) ,but they all give me different result.
My temperature (based on the ear thermometer) is 37C or over and has been since 9 dpo (I did not check beforehand). I guess it is a good sign together with my faint positive result, but I still have 1 or 2 days till AF due.

Have you tried to take ovulation test 3 times a day? Usually my peak only lasts around 4 hours.. I had high results before and after, but I have never got a peak with only two testing.

@MrsP21918 How long is your luteal phase? Mine has always been on the short side. 12 days. However I did manage to conceive my son.

@Katherina02837 I use an Ava bracelet. Decided to invest in it when it took a while last time we ttc. It's great because it takes the stress away from not moving and taking your bbt in the morning. Do your thermometer show 2 digits after the dot?

That is interesting that it takes you 3 tests to catch your prak. Do you do that everyday or only when you are grtting close? No I only tested twice with the opks and not at the ideal times. I am not entirely sure how I would do it in the middle of the day at work.

All that being said today my temperature took a nosedive pretty much to covering. And I just had some loose bowel movement (sorry TMI). So now pretty sure AF will come this weekend. And all my "worrying and hoping" yesterday was just stupid

ttcflowerxx · 13/10/2023 09:27

Took a 6 day early detection 2 days ago and was BFN:( still have the sore boobs defo out for this cycle x

Katherina02837 · 13/10/2023 09:32

@FigandHoney The bracelet definitely more reliable! My thermometer only shows 1 digits after the dot.
I only test 3 times when I know ovulation is near (I go by my cervical mucus 2 days before ovulation). Some cycles I ovulate on day 14 and in some on day 18.

I am sorry about your drop! Worrying and hoping is never stupid! You are not our until AF arrives!

@ttcflowerxx How many dpo are you?

i'm not too sure, i had egcm on the 2nd and some cramping, i think around the 2nd or the 3rd i ovulated not 100% though xx

MrsP21918 · 13/10/2023 09:48

@FigandHoney 7 days the last 2 cycles so far too short at the moment, but I have only just got my period back due to breastfeeding so just hoping it lengthens. I’m also taking pregnacare and vit b6. I think 12 days is absolutely fine!

Sorry to hear about the temp drop, it’s such a hard process isn’t it!

Still early. When did you get a positive with your first one?

OP posts:
ttcflowerxx · 13/10/2023 10:09

@Katherina02837 with my first i had completely no idea and wasn't trying ! i was around 6 weeks when i did a test because i just assumed period was being irregular x

FigandHoney · 13/10/2023 10:11

@Katherina02837 So my understanding is that you need a specific bbt thermometer that shows 2 digits after the dot to do BBT charting properly. Because the changes can be quite minimal. The difference between my lowest and highest estimate temperature this cycle for instance was just 0.92C

@MrsP21918 Ah that does seem rather short. But it is normal for it to take some time for hormones to rebalanced. I am sure the vitamins will help. Hope it lengthens for you soon

ReginaPhalange12 · 13/10/2023 11:59

BFN on an early detection this morning, with lack of symptoms I'm not surprised, AF due in 2 days so I'll see what happens then.

MrsP21918 · 13/10/2023 13:35

@FigandHoney Thanks, I hope so. Not sure if I’m going to need to wean from breastfeeding completely!

@ReginaPhalange12 @AC2023 Sorry about the BFNs, hoping AF stays away 🤞

Aw thank you, I never expected to make it anywhere close to a year so I’m a bit stuck where to go from here! My DD is such a sensitive soul and a mummy’s girl and I just don’t know where to begin with trying to stop to be honest. I would be happy to stop soon and do worry it’s affecting my hormones/luteal phase but I just don’t think my little girl would cope well with stopping at the moment.

Catson · 13/10/2023 14:48

I know how you feel @MrsP21918 , I've only recently stopped feeding my little one. I cut feeds one by one, starting with daytime. I ended up with just first thing in the morning and bedtime/overnight. I then cut the morning one and eventually the bedtime one. Overnight happened naturally when we started sleeping through

FigandHoney · 13/10/2023 16:28

@ReginaPhalange12 @AC2023 sorry about the BFNs. You are not out until AF arrives. With my son I didn't get my BFP until 4 days after AF was due.

Argh. Someone shut up my mind please. As I approach AF all my cool dissapears. And I become crazy obssessive.
Just had a massive glob of snot like cm. Slightly yellow

Thank you! I had another test this afternoon with a cheap Boots test and I have a decent line.
Af due tomorrow or the day after, so I'm still very nervous.

I have some cramping- I never have period cramping and I had this with my first pregnancy so it doesn't scare me that much.
I am extreamly bloated: can't fit into any of my trousers!
My boobs a bit sore and a little bit of nausea.

Are you going to test again tomorrow?

@FigandHoney you're right & I always say that to others so I must practice what I preach 😄

@Katherina02837 congratulations, that's great news ✨

TTCNoTWO · 14/10/2023 07:28

Congratulations for the BFPs!! So exciting xx

I'm 10dpo today and bfn :( so upset. Looks like I'll be heading into month 6! X

Catson · 14/10/2023 07:29

I tested today on an early detection pink line test. Clearly BFN. Approx 10dpo. I know far too early really but meh

FigandHoney · 14/10/2023 08:06

@AC2023 yes I tested with a frer. I am trying to hold off testing unless I miss AF tomorrow. So at the earliest tomorrow.
I did pee in a cup yesterday and then told myselfui could always test later if I wanted too. But it took away the urge. Sorry if that's disgusting.

FSGirl · 14/10/2023 08:09

@catson and @TTCNoTWO me too - I tested first thing too and it was a BFN, which I’d geared myself up for but it’s still so disappointing isn’t it? Even when you can rationalise that it’s maybe a bit early.
Any symptoms happening for you?
I had shooting pains in my boobs this morning and last night lots of niggles where on one side where i’d normally have period pains and felt really sick yesterday. And I am exhausted and emotional.
I will admit I scanned so many online threads last night after lots of googling implantation pains and have had a word with myself to keep busy today and stay off the internet 🙈
