TTC baby no2. Dpo 4. Anyone else?

From this month on, we are trying for an other baby.

I know that it might take some time, but I have a strong feeling that it happened this month. I had a similar intuition with my first child - I just knew it. I'm afraid I'll be extremely disappointed if the result is negative.

I hope I'm not the only one who feels this way and I will get some support here. I feel lonely this time around- cant really talk to anyone about it except my husband (who is very relaxed and doesnt get that this is the only thing on my mind right now). Looking for some support here!

AF is slowly making an appearance right on time 😔 I have shorter cycles so already looking forward & according to my apps enter my fertile window next weekend

FigandHoney · 15/10/2023 16:33

@TTCNoTWO Unfortunately it could go either way. Could be implantation spotting or AF announcing her arrival. I hope it's implantation for you 🙏

Just after writing my last update I thought AF had fully arrived. Because the spotting got a bit more intense. But now it's stopped again.
But I think it's just AF coming in slowly and gradually like last cycle.

It's so weird ever since I had my son, I would wake up drenched in blood in the morning. Sorry tmi. But since we started ttc again, I have started this pattern of gradually increasing spotting. Which is what I had when we were ttc last time. I swear ttc or the sperm or maybe the stress of ut somehow messes with my cycle.

TTCNoTWO · 15/10/2023 17:03

@FigandHoney I think it can alter your periods, mine was really odd the first time ttc, I read it can be the pregnacare tablets. This is the first time mine is different since ttc number 2 though, so maybe it's a good sign and it's my body getting ready?! Wishful thinking 😆

ttcflowerxx · 15/10/2023 17:40

still no af was supposed to come on today or tomorrow so still waiting! boobs are extremely sore now and too nervous to test as last tests and early detection were all negative x

FigandHoney · 15/10/2023 21:08

@TTCNoTWO Hmm maybe it is the vitamins I sm taking. Although I wasn't taking them yet last cycle.
Hope it's a good sign for you xx

Still no full AF yet. But I am still spotting on and off. So I guess FF probably got my ovulation day wrong my one day and full AF will be here by tomorrow.
I really wish I didn't spot. Last time we were ttc it made me worried a potential embryo wouldn't get the ideal chance to implant. I am trying to reassure myself that I did manage to get pregnant in the end. But it does make me anxious.

I also have smthg else on my mind. I try not to test before AF. But could that mean missing potential CPs. I know that if you have had 3, you might need more help

FigandHoney · 16/10/2023 09:37

So no AF yet for me this morning. But still have spotting.
My bbt went up again this morning. But I think my rhr has now started a downward trend.
I did take a test this morning because technically I am a day late. But it was BFN. So I think it's just a matter of AF coming in slowly. I guess this is my new normal pattern

katie2909 · 16/10/2023 09:42

I'm really sorry to jump on here - I can't seem to post my own thread. I took 2 easy@home tests yesterday and could see a shadow of a line but was told they could be indents so I took another this morning for the line to show up right away, and pink! What does everyone think?

FigandHoney · 16/10/2023 10:23

@katie2909 I can see a shadow of a line on today's picture and it does seem to be pink.
You will need to wait another two days and rest again but I think it's a congratulations!

katie2909 · 16/10/2023 10:46

Eek thank you so much - I was staring at the lines yesterday and thought there was a shadow but was worried they were indents. Today's came up in 3 minutes so hopefully it gets darker tomorrow!! x

TTCNoTWO · 16/10/2023 12:43

@FigandHoney sounds like it could be AF on its way :( keep us posted!

My spotting and cramping has stopped, haven't got any tests left until tomorrow though so will test in the morning.

@katie2909 I can see them :)

FSGirl · 16/10/2023 22:01

@katie2909 I can absolutely see a line!

🎉

FSGirl · 16/10/2023 22:03

@katie2909 are the easy@home ones early response ones? I might stock up for next cycle, I feel like my cheapies are a bit pants. Same brand as my ovulation sticks which just never seemed to work and gave readings all over the place!

ttcflowerxx · 17/10/2023 07:46

I'm just so confused at the moment, took an early detection on the 11th BFN, haven't tested since. Sore boobs started on the 9th and AF usually arrives on the 15th or 16th of each month.
Maybe i ovulated later? still convinced i'm out for this cycle though:( just waiting on AF xx

FigandHoney · 17/10/2023 09:01

@ttcflowerxx do you know how many dpo you are now? If you are late for AF I would test again

@TTCNoTWO Have you tested this morning?

So for me AF is in full flow this morning. On to another cycle buh.

My husband says we should DTD throughout the cycle. Even after I know from opks and tempting that I have ovulated. According to him you never know, "the egg might still be there". It winds me up so much. He is normally not a stupid man... so I said to him it's fine if you want it for pleasure but it would definitely not do anything in terms of getting me pregnant. And you know that

Catson · 17/10/2023 09:09

@FSGirl which brand do you use at the moment?
BFN again today here. Want to blame something, so it's maybe the brand of test 🙏🏻

katie2909 · 17/10/2023 09:28

They are yes, they detect 10miu whereas most of the others detect 25. I tested on 8dpo and that was when I got my first line. Confirmed on a digital yesterday at 9dpo!!

Good luck everyone x

Hello! You all have been engaged in this discussion for several weeks already, but may I join in? 🤗
I am attempting to conceive a second child; my first child is already 12y/o
I had my IUD removed on September 8th, and my first menstrual cycle began on September 25th. I received a positive ovulation test result on October 12th, and we made our best efforts a few days before that and one day after.
Today marks 5 DPO, and I must admit, the waiting period is incredibly challenging. I've found it difficult to concentrate on my job over the past couple of days. 🙄
I've experienced mild cramps since 3 DPO, and now I'm trying to stay sane while waiting. Additionally, I've noticed a white/light yellow discharge, though I'm unsure if this is related to a potential pregnancy. I'll likely begin pregnancy testing around October 22nd, but it seems so far away. 🙂

@katie2909 massive congrats!

katie2909 · 17/10/2023 11:33

Thank you so much!! x

TTCNoTWO · 17/10/2023 11:59

@FigandHoney yeah tested again this morning but still BFN :( I was really hoping after spotting on Saturday but nope! Just waiting for AF to hurry up now so I can get on with it!

Sorry about your AF showing up, it's so hard isn't it :(

MrsP21918 · 17/10/2023 12:52

@katie2909 massive congrats!

Sorry to hear about all the BFNs and AFs showing up! Got everything crossed for next month for us all.

I’m currently on day 6 of my period and it is still extremely heavy! Sorry for the TMI. It’s only my third period since having my little girl (still breastfeeding) but the first 2 weren’t like this at all. They normally do last 6 days in total but only heavy on day 1/2! Anyone think I should be worried or speaking to my GP? Or just see if it’s a one off? It’s showing no signs of stopping or even slowing down yet!
