jingleballs · 30/12/2004 08:48

hold on girls, just catchin up with the goss

jingleballs · 30/12/2004 09:11

god u girls can talk, ok from the top..

hula (((hugs))) sorry about AF hon, hopefully the new yr will bring us luck, (on our estate there was a mega baby boom in april/may - 6 ppl from the estate caught so i'm hoping there will be a boom again this yr and we'll be involved with it! lol I think it was cos most of the lads came homne from abroad then) LOL.

Cockenzie - well he didn't ring last night as he was ment to, bit worried really as a bloke from their camp was found dead on boxin day (i know it's nopt him or I would have heard) but I'd just like to talk to him (and also moan about the size christmas pressie he gave himself) Were are you movin to? - hopefully it's not a city. Will persona be in the boots sale? possibly? worth a look anyhow, might even get a three for 2 deal or something.hopefully you won't need it thou.

Tania - ((hugs)) what happens now then with the IVF? I assume you will see the councillor then start the process? we'll all support u hear if u need us as will ur RL friends/family.

Jedds - U go girl! lol, makes u feel like a real woman doesn't it that little 'o' sign! lol, last month I was doin jiggys when it came up! lol, hope u got lots of bd in, and b4 as well was it earlier this month? i'm assumin as u OV there would be nothing wrong with ur tubes etc? any ideas on names yet? we have 3 of each, but it keeps changin so I think we'll wait until the time it's born then see what he looks like (we'll still prob dis agree thou as DH likes traditional names and I like unusual/different ones, thou Kira has def stuck all the way thru) He's back 13th JAn, CD20 so this cycles a wash out as well as I ov around 12-13, infact I've nto taken any pills this month so it will be a true reflection.

Becki - (((hugs))) hopefully it is implantation i'll keep my fingers crossed for u hon. Shall we start a TTC weigh watchers thread? - I need to loose my mid drift.

Well I saw my friends little boy yesterday - he's so tiny he weighed in at 6lb 9 went to 38 weeks. he was sleepin when I was there so didn't get a cuddle , but did sit next to him, hopin to rouse some hormones or somehting. anyhow this post is prob really long so i'll leave u all be and pop back on tonight. (last post as JB, will revert back to MB today)

Hulababy · 30/12/2004 09:38

Morning all CD2 so not much to say on that really.

Who has plans for the New Year?

I won't be online from this afternoon as going down to stay with family in London. Will be back around on Sunday night I expect.

Is there anyone waiting to test at New Year - that'd be a fab way to start a New Year wouldn't it?!

munnzieb · 30/12/2004 09:41

i'm off out one of my cousins has a social club so we're all having a family get together over there apparently it's only £1.30 a pint, so I hate to think what Taboo is! can see me gettin v v drunk! lol.

BeckiF · 30/12/2004 09:50

Morning - I am CD59, apparently 7dpo. Have had several bouts of late evening and through the night nausea and also indegestion at the same time. Trying not to think it's a sign.

morningpaper · 30/12/2004 10:02

Hi all, sorry Hula about AF. Did a HPT this morning (day 27 I think) - definitely BFN. Oh well my christmas diet of chocolates and whisky probably wasn't very conducive to fertility anyway....

hester · 30/12/2004 11:05

Morning all. Big trauma at home - my PC is resolutely refusing to give me internet or email access! Every time I try to connect it just says 'Mac system error' or something... as a complete techno-illiterate, I keep sitting there staring at it hopelessly, thinking, 'Where oh where did I put the number of the helpdesk' and 'How will I get through the day without getting on to the ttc thread?'! My only solution has been to cheer myself up by buying shoes - lots of them - and lipsticks in the sales. I'm determined to be the best turned-out techno-illiterate infertile old bag on the block...

I had a bit of good luck this week, though. Knew I was going to ov sometime over or just past christmas, and feeling very anxious because I was out of town until Tuesday, and my lovely donor going away early Thursday morning. So guess what happened? Lovely big O symbol Tuesday and Wednesday, so didn't have to miss any babymaking!

Marinda, my love, you must be very disappointed with the af. I too was convinced I was pg this month, and was completely gutted when it turned out I wasn't. My best way of coping is to instantly find a reason why it would be better to conceive the NEXT month. Right now I'm reminding myself that it's far better for children to be the oldest in their school year rather than the youngest. If we can have our babies in September/October they will thank us for it! Also, we will enjoy some maternity leave in nice weather but it will have cooled down by the time we are really big and waddly. Big hugs to you xxx

Tania, you're having a rough time right now. Lots of love and hugs. Try not to worry too much about the spotting - strange things happen, and we're hyper-aware of them when ttc. Try to stay positive and focus on the really important and positive development that is about to happen - you starting IVF.

morningpaper, sorry about your BFN but isn't day 27 a bit early to be testing? What is your normal cycle length?

jb - you must be counting the days to the 13th! Btw, i think Kira is a really pretty name...

jeddah · 30/12/2004 11:51

morming girls

munz...think the weight loss thread sounds great for the new year!...Think we should start it after the new year weekend though (house full of M+S scrumptious food all to be eaten!!!)So Mon 3rd Jan sounds good with me!

Hi hester......shoes and lipsticks.....fantastic!
I bought shoes, boots, makeup, loads of gorgeous underwear, just love shopping (don't really give a shit whats in the bags....as long as I'm carrying loads of them!!)

cd20 for me and big 'O' on persona again this morning,I should be ok as bd on cd15 cd17 cd19 and cd20....so now the big wait! I just said to dh wouldn't it be great to be pregnant and cancel the gynae appointment (strange how your fantacies change!!!!!!!!!!!)

Marinda....I telehoned the secretary of the gynae quack and worked my best speal on her! got appointment for 4 weeks instead of 6 months!!!!

jeddah · 30/12/2004 11:52

Sorry! haven't changed my religion.....
'morning' even!

Tania2 · 30/12/2004 11:53

Hi girls just quickly popping in b4 i go to bed. DS had an accident this evening took him for a walk around our local lake to give his new bike a run (its one of those trikes that have a handle attached so mummy or daddy can help push) half way around the lake he decided that he wanted to run that was going well as he is a really good runner but then boom tripped and fell straight onto his face and put is tooth straight through his top lip blood everywhere and we still had ages to go till we would get back to the car but you know ds was more worried about the scratch on his hand and the snot from his nose that the blood running into his mouth. our poor little angel. He is ok now and fast asleep was quite happy by the time we got back to the car asking for lollies!!
CD20 here had some spotting again today so i suspect that af will be early this month although i have really no other symptoms?????
MB i will see councillor in the new year and then they give me the pill to stop my normal cycle to create a new cycle when i get my next af i will start to take the drugs that will stimulate my folicals into producing more eggs then the process really begins. very nervous but also very excited. Discuss with dh how we are going to advoid telling people in RL since they all know we are having trouble ttc and that IVF is our option...we have decided that we will tell people that we are doing it but dont know when we will start just so we dont have the added pressure from everyone asking if it has worked. IYKWIM. Know it will be the main topic on nye as most of the girls are ttc or are pg with their 2nd. One girl is having trouble as she has just been told she has POCS.
Hester so was your donar able to produce the goods at ov time for you??? if so best of luck for you this month.

Tania2 · 30/12/2004 11:55

Jed are we on line at the same time

Tania2 · 30/12/2004 12:03

Hope you are well Jed and all that bding has been a great success for you. fingers crossed.

hester · 30/12/2004 12:11

Hi Tania, I'm here!

yes, my donor was able to do the business. Bless him.

Your poor little boy - sounds like he was very brave! What a shock for you, though...

hester · 30/12/2004 12:14

Jeddah, how many pairs of boots and shoes did you get? I bought TWO pairs of boots - from Hobbs, so not cheap..

Tania2 · 30/12/2004 12:18

Well done Hester hope it works this month.
Boy i miss shopping after xmas all the great sales. Missed out the past 2 years the mad shops is not a good place to take my ds. i havent even been to the shops since xmas eve. staying away as we are dead broke

ChaCha · 30/12/2004 12:18

Hi everyone
Tania - I had AF for four days straight after my lap by a day. Now I am CD3 on cycle 2 which came exactly 28 days since the last. You may find that the spotting is actually AF. Have you asked your doc?

Can someone pls tell me what 'bleeding ovarian cyst' is exactly? I've just had a letter from hospital saying thats what was confirmed during lap - what the hell does that mean?

Tania2 · 30/12/2004 12:42

Hi ChaCha,
Cant ask my gyno as he is away till next monday. Iam assuming that it is just spotting b4 af arrives if af doesnt come by monday i will call my gyno.
I have no idea what 'bleeding ov cyst' are maybe jeddah can help you there. was everything else ok?

sparkly · 30/12/2004 12:59

Hi all - new to this group - first month of trying. CD18 for me. Have a long history of fertility problems so not sure how long it is going to take this time. Tried for years with no luck following loads of fertility treatment (including IVF) then miraculously just got pg with no help at all. Not sure what to expect this time around.

jeddah · 30/12/2004 13:51

chacha....a bleeding ovarian cyst is a cyst in the ovary which fills with blood rather than serus fluid. Both are quite common and should disappear on their own.

hester · 30/12/2004 14:47

Hi sparkly, welcome to the thread . This is a very lucky thread and we seem to be able to get women up the duff all the time, so hopefully we'll sort you out with no problem!

Can I be nosey and ask you about yourself? How old is your firstborn? Did you have a diagnosis for your subfertility? Are you considering IVF again?

My friend and her dh were diagnosed with such severe subfertility that they were initially told IVF wouldn't be able to help them. They went on to have two lovely children in quick succession, both conceived naturally. Were they just incredibly lucky, or were they misdiagnosed? Who knows; there's still so much about fertility and conception that is a mystery, even to the docs.

Btw, sparkly is such a lovely name! Wish I'd thought of it...

Fastasleep · 30/12/2004 15:13

Oh Tania that sounds painful! ... Hello everyone lol, not sure if I've caught up - this thread is getting really lucky though, a few of us at 6/7/8 dpo now? The tension's building! Lol.. Welcome to the group Sparkly I'm terrible at catching up! Did someone buy shoes?

Fastasleep · 30/12/2004 15:15

Hope the big O's have been a big success for Hester and Jeds
