Nice to see you Becki, we were wandering how you were doing. Sorry you've been having a hard time {{{hugs}}}, lol x On a BFP front there have been three of us over the last few days, Colinsmommy, Muppetmentality and Me.

Colinsmommy, will see you over on the due Aug thread then!

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Tania2 · 27/12/2004 23:08

Tania2 · 28/12/2004 09:25

Where is everyone????

Tania2 · 28/12/2004 11:28

Just about to go to bed so i thought i would just pop in to see if anyone was about.
Watched ivf dvd tonight with dh. going to make our first appointment tomorrow with the councellor for our first session then i start the drugs once af arrives.
Getting alittle anxious but at the same time scared out of my mind not knowing what to expect and so hoping that the first go will work.
Anyway hope you are all well.
lol tan xxx

ernest · 28/12/2004 12:07

good luck with it all tania, I imagine it can be very stressful - hope you manage to keep it all under control! Your dh sounds pretty good to me & am sure will be a great support xx

Can I just ask again re v. light periods? Unlike lucky old colinsmummy, my light one can't be attributed to bfp, unfortunately, so has anyone else heard of any possible reasons?

that must have been especially exciting for you colinsmummy, after thinking af had arrived. I definitely don't feel pg tho & have 2 bfn to discount that idea. or rather [wry]

hi again beckif. Hope you're ok & are having a nice Christmas

muppetmentality, just skimming so missed your exciting news,, sorry - big congrats to you too

hester · 28/12/2004 13:21

Wow, you go away for a few days and look what happens! This thread was really well-named! HUGE congratulations to Twiga, Colinsmommy and muppetmentality. I can't tell you how thrilled I am for you all. Particularly nice for me to hear of the good news following miscarriage. How lovely that you'll all be on the 'expecting in August' thread together.

Also LOVELY to have Becki back. Becki, you've been really missed. We started a thread asking after you - did you see it? I'm sorry you've been having a hard time, hon; just ease yourself back in as and when. But we're all thrilled to hear from you.

Rudy, Canadianmom and cockensize - so sorry to hear about your af. Cockenzie, I don't think you should be too worried. The average length of time it takes to get pregnant is six months, and they wouldn't usually start fertility investigations until you'd been trying for 12 months. Then there is the issue of you breastfeeding; I know that women can and do get pg while breastfeeding, but there is a reason why generations of women have considered it an imperfect-but-better-than-nothing contraceptive! By all means ask your doctor about a blood test to check you are ovulating OK, but I suspect s/he may tell you that you are worrying unnecessarily.

ernest - I don't think you should worry about one light period. If you start having a series of light periods, I would definitely get it checked out, but one light period is probably a blip (or implantation bleeding - how many days since your last normal period?)

Tania - you poor love, I know this is a really rough time for you. I'm so glad that your MIL, at least, showed some sensitivity to your feelings. Big hugs to you.

Does anyone think we should get one of our lovely graduates to start a 'TTC 17: New year, new baby' thread?

jingleballs · 28/12/2004 15:14

afternoon girls,

Hester - yes I think it's a good idea for one of our graduates to start the new thread off. How u doin now hon?

Becki - (((hugs))) glad to see you back hon. hope things are OK ur end.

Cocenzie - well u know what they say - new house new baby! lol. for OV there are a few signs EWCM of course, I normally eat a shed load of food just b4 and also just b4 af also some ppl have sore boobs etc.. so it will just be a case of watching how ur body works. will u get persona from ebay?

Colmum - wow, CONGRATS!!!!!!!!! (((((hugs)))))) share the dust please, u and twiga need to saturate all of us!

well DH has had his flights confirmed for the 13th Jan, (late) so will be home on the 14TH. not long to go now. bit worried really as well cos it's been so long but still never mind. Tomorrow i'm off to see my friends little boy (2 1/2 wks old) so i shall be tellin him in no uncertain terms, he's gonna bring me some luck in the new yr cos i'm really really broodie at the mo. still we'll see. althou I am feelin like shoutin off the roof tops (I WANT A BABY) but i don't think i'll get v far. OOOh and also had a weird dream last night that I met steven segal and had an affair with him (wouldn't mind but I don't particually like him!) LOL.

That personally is my favorite babydust, and am a firm believer that it works. Is it really time to start another thread? This one doesn't have nearly the thousand messages that the other ones do. One more sprinkling.

Colinsawmommykissingsantaclaus · 28/12/2004 20:15

Wow, is this a lucky thread, or what?

BeckiF · 28/12/2004 20:40

I hope so ColinsMummy .... I was so sure that I would get my Sept 05 baby that, well, that it didn't do my health much good really. None the less, if my temperatures stay elevated, then on the 11th Jan I can do a preg test and hope for a positive as if it IS then my due date would be the 15th Sept. However, FF has been wrong earlier in my cycle ... I just take each morning temp on it's own merit. What will be, will be.

ChaCha · 29/12/2004 00:42

Hi folks, Hey BeckiF, I had asked about you a while ago, I had wondered where you'd gone. How are tricks?
AF Day 1 girls! this is first AF since lap number 2 - so its all systems go this month!! See the ob/gyn in 2 weeks to find out more about what went on during lap etc.. and what is next. Am not going to take anything unless totally necessary...hmm!
Sorry am rabbiting...
Well, I post msg's here and then forget to read up, I get obsessed with the TTC roller coaster and so dont frequent here as often as i used to. Will hopefully remember to log on later.
Baby dust to all and congrats to the grads xxx

Tania2 · 29/12/2004 02:22

Hi ChaCha fingers crossed that the lap works for you.
I havent had af yet after my lap but was wondering if you got spotting between the lap and af cause i have been getting lots of spotting today and iam only on CD17.

Tania2 · 29/12/2004 07:04

Ok girls getting worried that my body is totally stuffed after my lap. been getting spotting today but its freash blood when i usually get spotting it is mostly brownish colour. Iam only on CD17 bd on 11 and 13 never bothered with dates as such after receiving the news that my tubes are blocked. last cycle was 26 days so not expecting af for at least 6 to 7 days so really its too early for spotting for me but having a achey tummy too. What on earth is happening to my body???

Hulababy · 29/12/2004 09:14

Congratulations to Mogran, Colinsmummy, and muppetm Fab Christmas pressies!

CD1 for me today. AF arrived this morning Makes last month's cycle only 25 days, compared to last month's 32 days. And a second month where FF didn't detect OV. To be fair I didn't do temping so much last month as lost my BBT thermometer for first half. May have OVd on CD13 though - monitoring CM. Who knows? TTC cycle 5 for me now.

Tania2 · 29/12/2004 09:20

Sorry to read about af Hula. Did it take long to fall pg with dd?
Iam still trying to work out if i have got af or not if so my cycle length is only 16 days

Hulababy · 29/12/2004 09:24

Thanks Tania. DD did take a while yes. It took us 15 months of TTC, then we had an early mc. It then took another 14-15 months once that had been sorted out. I am hoping it won't be such a long wait again.

cockenzie · 29/12/2004 09:32

congrats morgan after all that time of ttc.u must be over the moon!!

i have now a good feeling.as i am bak on 28 days mayb it means my body is bak to normal and bak to ov.i am not buying persona from ebay as it ends up costing more than boots so ill go to boots and get it.so hopefully by my birthday ill be pg

A thought for all the families from Indonesia, Thailand and the countries that hav suffered the deadly wave.Hope everyone is ok?

jb - any news from ur hubby? not long lass to see him again.? oh u must be excited.
hope everyone will hav a lovely new year.i am getting ready for my move in my new house.getting excited.just the carpets to lay and we can move in.but i will miss the sea though, romantic sights and the noise of waves.

hope Hester and everyone is ok?

Tania2 · 29/12/2004 09:32

Was there any reason why it took so long?

Hulababy · 29/12/2004 09:35

Tania - no idea. We never had any investigations/tests, Think we were trying to pretend it wasn't happening. Had planned to go and ask GP that summer when on holiday - but feel pg right at start if summer break.

I guess I have to just keep waiting for a few more months again to see what happens this time.

I know compared to others it doesn't seem that long, and certainly this 4 months isn't that long - just a bit worried it will take ages again.

Tania2 · 29/12/2004 09:36

cockenzie iam jeolous of the place your leaving sounds lovely.
New house new baby fingers crossed.
I know isnt it awlful about all those people being draged out to sea. Its on our tv all the time atm cause of so many australians missing. Hows about the 3 week old baby being found floating on a mattress. it all just pulls at your heart strings.

Tania2 · 29/12/2004 09:46

Hopefully hula you wont need to worry about investigations as you will be pg very soon iam sure.
TMI warning..... cause i was bleeding i used a tampon that was 2.5 hrs ago and just went to check and there was barely anything. really confused is it af or not?????? my tummy feels alittle like af??
