been now ttc for 5 months.and am beginning to question if i am ov.going to make appt with doc and ask him to look into it

FastAsleepInAManger · 26/12/2004 19:10

cockenzie, might be butting in here a bit... not read all the messages, but I was told that breastfeeding can mess up things for months and months, even when you've finished producing milk - someone else said it but yes you can merrily go on and menstruate without ovulating - it took me pretty much one month of trying to get my first baby, we've been bding with no protection since he was born and pretty often at that! He's now 10 months old, I think I actually ovulated for the first time this month as I had completely forgotten what it felt like! Don't give up hope hun, it can take a while for your eggs to be released again hugs

FastAsleepInAManger · 26/12/2004 19:13

(I finished breastfeeding full time at 9 ish months)

CONGRATS TO TWIGA!! What a fantastic christmas present!! Hope you stick around for a while to sprinkle your dust on us

Hi girls really sad today just had a call from a friend who is ttc she was nearly in tears when telling me she is pg all she could say was i would understand if you hate me. I would never hate someone for getting pg. I had to do the same to her when i fell pg with ds she had lost her baby at 25 weeks and was ttc for her now dd i cryed when i had to tell her so she knows how i feel. I stayed strong and said that i am always happy for people that fall pg and she would understand that i would be thinking to myself WHY NOT ME???? told dh and he just said thats nice why cant he feel the same as me. also i was told on xmas day that my BIL cousin whom already has a son from a one night stand and handballs him of to her sister all the time is now pg again from a one night stand. that makes me sooooo mad why does god bless a woman like that with children and all of us have so much trouble.

Colinsawmommykissingsantaclaus · 27/12/2004 00:17

KateandtheElves · 27/12/2004 00:22

Wow! Merry Christmas to you, Colin's Mom. (You're going to have to change your name in a few months. )

cranberryjampot · 27/12/2004 00:24

Colinsawmommykissingsantaclaus · 27/12/2004 00:24

Thanks, Kate.

Wow colinsmummy congratulations what a great suprise for you. Dont worry iam not upset when i read that anyone on here is pg really really happy for anyone on here to be pg cause i have traveled the journey of heartache with you.

Been at MIL all day today as dh's auntie and family were down from darwin. Auntie hasnt meet ds b4 and said (not knowing) better get number 2 on the way so ds has a sibling that he can be close to as he is 2 already. Well i start crying while dh and her joke about practising. Noone saw me cry except i think MIL may have and she quickly changed the subject. But other than that we had a really nice day.

Will be calling the ivf clinic on Wednesday to make our first appointment with the shrink. Have to get this all happening b4 i do my head in.

Twiga · 27/12/2004 10:55

Good morning! Congratulations Colinsmommy! When are you due?

Thank you for all your good wishes! Also a huge thank you for putting up with my waffle for the last few months. I've really appreciated all the support I've been given, particularly when things have been difficult and sad due to my mc. Wishing you all the very best in this coming year and hope that it won't belong before each one of you graduates off this board +++++++++++++*++++++

{{{{{{{big hugs}}}}}}} Tania, do you have a date to start ivf yet? Don't worry about your dh's reaction, he sounds very normal to me "that's nice" seems to be a fairly standard response to most things for a guy. I think your dh is every bit as bothered as you and that it's just a gender thing, also he is probably trying to be supportive by being strong for both of you. Much love to you today x

ernest · 27/12/2004 13:47

congratulations cilinsmummy 7 twiga, nice to have a couple of gradates & fab Christmas pressie.
sorry you're having a rotten time, tania, hope you're feeling better soon.

sorry for all you squeemish ones, but my last af was so light. it wass only 2 very light days and 2 days of spotting. it was so light I wondered if it was poss was pg after all, but tested again. not surprised to get another bfn, but can't stop thinking about this af. Does this mean anything, does anyone know? Start of menpause or something? Sorry, don't mena to be a drama queen, but you of ten hear people complaining of heavy periods and reasons for this, but not of lighter ones & wondered if it meant anything? Starting persona tomorrow.

muppetmentality · 27/12/2004 14:36

I was on one of the other threads with all of you and found out 2 days before Christmas that I am pregnant - still have to do daily tests to actually believe it is true and still keep thinking it's going to be taken away from me like my last one (mc)

Great to hear that so many others of you got what you wanted for Christmas.

I'm so pleased for all of you.

Christmas Happiness to you all and lets hope the New Year brings success to the rest of you.

Colinsawmommykissingsantaclaus · 27/12/2004 15:30

Thanks girls.

Ernest, that is exactly how my "period" happened this month. AF was due on Wed. before Christmas. Got really light spotting Thurs-Sat. Negative tests on Fri + Sat before Christmas. Then just gave up hope, and was really sad, because I felt so pregnant.

MuppetM-Congratulations to you.

Twiga- According to due date calculator on the internet, I'm due Aug 17th. I hope it comes then or before then, because Colin's birthday is Aug 18th. I want them both to have their own special day.

RudyDudy · 27/12/2004 17:18

BeckiF · 27/12/2004 19:06

Dear All - I thought I should post. Been a bit 'not myself' and that's as much as I want to say at the moment, but I thought that I'd pop back in. Have I missed any bfp news? I am on CD52 an d Fertility Friend thinks I may of ovulated 4 days ago but it did this to me on CD17 too, so I'll just wait and see ... if I did then the bd pattern is good.

RudyDudy · 27/12/2004 22:45

Becki Lovely to hear from you. We have all been thinking about you and it is lovely to have you back with us - though hopefully not for long iykwim. Fingers crossed that FF has it right and you've bd'd at the right time. CD52 must be tough - I had a 41 day cycle this month which is pretty unusual for me and I found it very hard to not get stressed about what it meant, what my body was or was not doing, etc. Anyway, I am now CD2 so a new cycle to try again with.

There seem to have been quite a few BFPs recently so hopefully there's plenty of babydust knocking around for us all to share.

I'm going to be offline now for about a week so I'd like to wish you all very happy new year celebrations and I'll catch up with you in 2005!
