My husband and I are both approaching 38 and we are ttc #2. It took us almost a year to conceive with my first at age 31 … although I started this cycle optimistic but realistic, I have very quickly turned into a crazy woman testing from 8DPO 😝

Anyway, I’m glad to be here & look forward to seeing how it all goes for everyone x

I'm trying out Acupuncture and Reflexology which I have found very relaxing.

I'm constantly stressed about being stressed.

I'm gonna do my 3rd test tomorrow. Am I being dumb to still hope? If this cycle is anovulatory how long would I have to wait for a period??

Guys my period is freakishly light - like I don’t remember ever having a period this light…? But I’m like 99.99% certain it’s too heavy to qualify as implantation bleeding… anyone have any idea why this would be? My cycle has been a bit off since the mmc…

@El1988 How often are you needing to change the pad? Could you call it spotting (or no clots?) sorry to ask 😆
@MOGMOGMOG85 hoping you get your bfp tomorrow and this doesn’t apply but…
I don’t think there’s any rules wrt anovulatory bleeding tbh. From my own experience, last cycle it looks like I tried to ovulate CD16 then failed and didn’t get a bleed, seemed to run straight into this cycle where I ovulated as normal CD 46 (would be CD18 if I’d had a period iyswim)
Previous anovulatory cycles have been more chaotic for me. I am under care of a medical herbalist to try and sort out my hormonal imbalances.

@CurlyWurly1991 ive changed the pad twice today, but that’s more out of habit than anything else - I could have kept the same (normal flow) pad on all day and had no issues. It’s very odd cos normally the first is the heaviest and I’d have needed to change the pad like 3 times over a work day. and it’s more kind of brown ish? Not really red.

yeah there has been a few clots etc - like there’s enough of it that I’m relatively certain it couldn’t possibly be implantation bleeding - plus it’s right on time for my period and my bbt took a nose dive last night. No need to apologise, I think we’re way past the point of TMI here - yellow nipples and all 😅

For the newbies, I'm 38 and have been TTCing since February for no. 1 and got a BFP last week. It was a complete shock. I'm nervous as I've never had a BFP in the past. Sending baby dust to all.

@El1988 ah ok, maybe you have just got lucky this month with a lighter bleed?
herbalist has been great, I started with her in May and have had 27-29 day cycles more or less since. They have ranged from 14-60 days previously. The herbal mix she has made for me has a number of herbs but one of them is Vitex which is considered great for fertility and regulating cycles so 🤞!!

@El1988 i had this about three months ago. Was so surprised by it that I took a pregnancy test three days later because I thought there was no way it could be my period. Turns out it was because I def wasn’t preggers and apparently it can just be a freakish thing that happens. Good times all round hey!! Another fun thing to add to the list that may or may not happen that may or may not be symptoms! Sorry I’m of course hopeful for you that it is an implantation bleed but for me it was just a freakishly light period 🤷🏼‍♀️

@El1988 my periods were way lighter after my mmc for 6 months. I bled heavily, I think it cleared everything out... xx

I feel your pain I have too lol...ttc baby 2 With new partner here...currently on month 2 2dpo the 2 weeks literally drags its horrible

From what I understand from anovulatory cycle you will still have a period, maybe around the usual time because your womb lining will break down as usual

Hi, not sure if i have commented on this one yet or not 🤦‍♀️ lol am reading through a couple atm. Basically mmc at 12 wk scan in april 23 and had a d&c.. convinced myself theres been scarring from the d&c. Had an internal scan which was fine but trying to get a private saline one which is proving impossible, anyone any tips as to what to say to my gp to refer me for this? Also just found out my partner has been taking hair loss meds 🤦‍♀️ he dosent even need them, but they bascally reduce the sperm count to newr zero. Mite be the obvious reason why we havent conceived again yet lol

Evening ladies,
I went for my cervical smear this morning which was perhaps not well timed at D5PO but I wasn't sure when would be a good time.
It wasn't too bad but I've been getting some cramps intermittently since, not sure if I'm just noticing them more now it's evening and I'm chilling.

Sounds like you've had a rough time @Supertrooper101, I hope the next few cycles will see fresh hope for you

Hi @CharAStar very confused today, took another test this morning and it was negative. I'm so bloated today I feel like I could pop so wonder if I'm in line for the heaviest period ever. Isn't it great being a woman?!

Some optimals / iseals like vit d levels that are best - are higher than what NHS deem passable

does anybody know if the clear blue early tests are known for some sort of indents? AF due tomorrow / Thursday for me but have just been feeling “off” in a way I can’t explain. I’ve had what looks like the beginning of a line come up within the time frame that is blue in colour (particularly at the bottom) but just unsure if it could possibly be a dodgy test. Or maybe I’m just wanting to see a line and there’s actually nothing there 😂 thanks all x

not using ovulation kits as yet as i'm not even off the pill yet, that will be happening this weekend, then it will be just see what happens until Jan then it will be proper trying.

I have started folic acid though.
