Hi ladies, thanks for the replies. So I took a test..can I see a really faint line or am I imagining it because that's what I want it to show?!

I see a line!! How many dpo are you @Foreverexhausted1 ? Apologies if you have already said - I'm on/off Mumsnet at the mo as we are on holiday

Foreverexhausted1 · 24/09/2023 20:39

I think maybe 17dpo, I'm on cd34 today and I normally have cycles around 31 days. I'm not tracking particularly so I don't really know when I ovulated!

VixFromThe6ix · 24/09/2023 20:49

That looks like a line to me, congratulations!!! @Foreverexhausted1

Thank you for restarting this @VixFromThe6ix

@El1988 thinking of you and hoping for your BFP! Are you going to test again tomorrow?

@JustTrying1 I’m so sorry. Sending you huge hugs.

I’m 2DPO and don’t want to get naked. Ever. Again. Firmly in my dressing gown with my big girl pants on 😂

El1988 · 25/09/2023 07:54

@Foreverexhausted1 congratulations! That looks like a line to me! 🥳

@VixFromThe6ix hope you’re getting on well with testing out the trigger!

AF arrived for me in the middle of the night. Classic. Off to the clinic with us on Friday then, let’s see what happens with the tests… wishing everyone a great day! I am focussing very Hard on not missing my stop on the train today… 🙈

MOGMOGMOG85 · 25/09/2023 08:24

@El1988 I'm so sorry youre out this month - really hope you made your stop!

@Foreverexhausted1 that looks like a line to me!

@Bumblebee413 thank you so much for your kind words. It helps me to know I'm not alone! 5 days late and looking at primary school places sounds about where I am now...

Cd30, no sign of af, mood swung rapidly from furious to elated last night and feeling a bit tetchy again now. So I guess I'm 2-3 days late rn and my cycle is bang on regular without fail. The longest cycle I ever had was about 6 years ago and was 35 days, it's pretty much never been above 30.

I don't know what to think, but obvs I'm thinking: pregnant, or perimenopause :( what hell. I realise how lucky I am having such regular cycles as this is miserable:(

Cressie2 · 25/09/2023 09:02

@El1988 so sorry to hear AF came 😞. Hope the clinic can give you more clarity and help. Keep positive.

@MOGMOGMOG85 are you going to test? Fingers crossed for you.

CurlyWurly1991 · 25/09/2023 09:07

@El1988 sorry about AF 😔 always a bummer. It’s good to have the clinic plan in place - is that for tests? Sorry I think I missed your previous update. I’m telling myself that when AF arrives this cycle the silver lining will be a)red wine b)getting blood tests ordered by the GP to either clarify any issues or reassure me (fingers crossed the latter)
@Bumblebee413 Have you tested?! Btw, there are other explanations to a late period than perimenopause… harmless ones so please don’t worry about that if it is bfn. I beat myself last cycle about this.
im 10dpo and my back pain has gone down a bit which is good. Was thinking I would need to call in sick for work this week. I’m feeling crappy. Waiting for AF - due Thurs - and not even tempted to test early because I hate those bfns.

El1988 · 25/09/2023 09:19

@Cressie2 @MOGMOGMOG85 @CurlyWurly1991 thank you for the sympathy 🧡 I’m weirdly enough doing ok, I made myself come into the office today which is helpful for a change of scene, and because I know I have the plan of the clinic at the end of the week, it’s helpful. And I’m treating this cycle as a fresh beginning.

Yeah the tests are for another spermiogram and blood tests to see where we are at now. And anything else they suggest to test. We tested last year and they said everything looked normal, but that was over a year ago now, so we’re obviously older now and also both of our jobs are way more stressful than they were a year ago… so let’s see.

I actually froze eggs at the same clinic a year ago, so basically the plan is now that if we don’t manage to conceive in the next 3 months naturally we’ll go for ivf in January… and maybe use those eggs…

basically try to get as healthy as possible over the next 3 months, eat well, exercise keep drinking levels low and sleep 7-8 hours a night and TRY to keep stress low 🙈 however @CurlyWurly1991 i will defo be having a glass of red wine tonight! And maybe also some sushi or a rare steak something 😅

sending strength to everyone having a tough day today ✨🧡

Hi ladies, Can I join?

I'm 37 and giving TTC another shot soon for baby number 1, I have had several losses in the past. My age is worrying me x

H0pefull · 25/09/2023 09:21

@FigandHoney yes DTD every other day for the full cycle 😊
feel like I have an absolute squinter of a line on a FRER test this morning but I think it’s just line eyes lol. I have asked my fiancé to hide the rest of my tests until Thursday when AF is due, just driving myself mad 😂

El1988 · 25/09/2023 09:38

@AlienSuperstar welcome! Wishing you lots of success!

@H0pefull 🤞it’s a line for you! Hiding the tests is smart… I think I will do this next cycle 🙈

Starrrz · 25/09/2023 09:40

Hi all :)
this is my 4th cycle of trying for baby number 2.
im hoping ill be pregnant this month, as it’s stressing me out so much (as it is for everyone)
i also think I ovulate days later after my opk stick , like 3-4 days later. So not sure if im been doing it wrong.
hope your all ok 💫

SnookyPook · 25/09/2023 10:45

Morning all! Wow, lots to catch up on (apologies I don't have the mental energy to respond to you all nicely like @FigandHoney managed to do!!)

Welcome to all the new joiners. Happy to have you here 😊

@Foreverexhausted1 that looks hopeful to me!! Fingers crossed. Think we all need a BFP around here for an injection of hope!

I'm now CD14 since my CP bleeding a couple of weeks ago. I think my opks are starting to rise but I normally get a very rapid peak and they're doing more of a slow rise atm... hopefully just slight post-loss weirdness and ovulation will be on the way. I'm feeling a bit down today despite lovely sunshine outside. I think the last few months are just catching up with me a bit again. I'm also bracing myself because I've heard of so many 'I got pregnant the cycle after a chemical' stories and I'm really trying not to get my hopes up 😌

Also, it would help if our toddler would let us have some time to get jiggy! He normally sleeps pretty well but he's been really restless the last couple of nights, culminating in snuggling in bed with us. It's almost like he doesn't want a little sibling 🤔🤪

How's it going

CharAStar · 25/09/2023 11:50

@AlienSuperstar
Fate favours the fearless
Have you checked in with your GP?
My GP was fantastic, she was very positive and encouraging
I haven't ovulated the past two cycles, but I was told to expect this
It might take some time but keep at it!

Not yet, I have had every test done under the sun in the past and apparently there's nothing "wrong with me".

I think we will give it a try for a few months and just see what happens, easier said than done without becoming obsessed !

CharAStar · 25/09/2023 11:56

@AlienSuperstar
I'm in a bad way with it all to be honest, this is why I've joined Mumsnet, I need some support
It's really lonely
My partner is beyond incredible and constantly says 'you're not too old, my sister had a baby at 40' he just doesn't feel it all...it's not his body...
We already have our darling boy, I wished so hard for him...and now I feel ungrateful for wishing for more!

How old are you Char if you don't mind me asking ?

Sending you big hugs x

CharAStar · 25/09/2023 12:19

@AlienSuperstar
I'm 38 now, I'll be 39 in a few months time
I had our first when I was 36 and was constantly being told then that I 'wasn't old'
I don't feel old, but because I don't feel it doesn't mean I'm not
I looked into getting tested, looked into Hertility, but I'm just too scared of the results
Ignorance is bliss!

I don't "feel old" either, but I think you always hear and see about the dreaded number 35 and how things start to decline. That is encouraging that you have your first at 36, that give me hope! How long have you been trying for number 2?

CharAStar · 25/09/2023 13:18

You taking all your vitamins?
Using the ovulation kits? I really rated them first time round, this time I'm stressed out (this is because I'm not ovulating!)

We've been trying since the start of the year - almost 10 months now.

With our first it happened after about 6 months, but don't get me wrong when we were in it it took forever and like you said, when you keep reading the statistics she reading that fertility drops off a cliff after the age of 36 you worry.

Just have faith!

Bex4567 · 25/09/2023 14:31
