I feel you @Fullofconfusion . It took me 4 months for AF to arrive and I had a range of 'symptoms' especially in the 2 months running up to my first AF visit.

Bumblebee413 · 22/10/2023 18:56

@JustTrying1 the thing I find really weird about One Born Every Minute is that it’s so heavily edited that bizarrely I think Call the Midwife seems more representative of the life of a midwife/ birth 😂 Although obviously sliiightly dramatised!

JustTrying1 · 22/10/2023 19:07

Haha! I never watched call the midwife! I think given the look on DH face right now while I'm watching OBEM, if I suggest call the midwife he might go play on his Xbox or something 😂

It’s so frustrating!

it took 6 months or more for AF to appear last time I was TTC. I don’t remember the sore boobs but I do remember a ton of other random symptoms. I did have hugely painful boobs once pregnant though. Will hold off another week and then test…maybe 🙈

El1988 · 22/10/2023 19:19

Thank you ladies for looking at the tests and for the congrats! I kind of don’t believe it and feel like tomorrow it will all be gone or because I was sick during the time it would have implanted or because I was so fed up with the whole TTC situation and didn’t think I could be pregnant this cycle I had a small glass of red wine on Friday night and had a hot-ish bath on Saturday that it will be another MMC… but also hoping and praying that it works out…

Catson · 22/10/2023 21:46

@El1988 nothing you do would cause a MMC. I know someone who didn't realise they were pregnant until they were giving birth and during the 9 months they did everything you're told not to do, with no impact on the baby

Cressie2 · 22/10/2023 22:06

@Catson @El1988 So happy for you both. I see great lines for the two of you. @El1988 don’t worry about the hot bath or small glass of wine. I know so many people who drank for days before they found out they were pregnant. Some even had a glass or two during pregnancy so I really wouldn’t worry.

Exciting times ahead for you both ❤️

Weirdly this is exactly what my midwife said when pregnant with DC1. She told me to stop watching OBEM 🤣

JustTrying1 · 23/10/2023 06:59

@ChildrenOfTheQuorn I ended up turning it off anyway because some of the parents to be were winding me up 😂

Bumblebee413 · 23/10/2023 07:40

@JustTrying1 that’s one of tha main reasons I can’t watch it either 😂 but again, they edit it so heavily they’re probably only including their worst bits!

@El1988 just as others have said, you have nothing to worry about with the wine or the bath. Neither of them will have an impact on your pregnancy at this stage. You’re doing a great job x

H0pefull · 23/10/2023 09:24

Oh @El1988 congratulations lovely!! So happy for you, I know it's SO much easier said than done, but please try not to worry about the wine or the bath. Everything crossed for a healthy pregnancy for you & hope you are feeling ok!! x

I wish I could join the gym. I've got weight to lose but I've recently been diagnosed with a condition that worsens when I sweat and it can be really painful so I have zero confidence when it comes to the gym or exercising at all - which is the polar opposite of where I need to be

Not the point of the thread I know, but perhaps different types of exercise would help? Swimming, for example. Personally I wince in horror at the thought of ever setting foot in a gym but have found online workout videos brilliant. At the start I couldn't keep up but would just keep moving, marching on the spot, until I could join in again. I'm some years on and swear by these workouts now! I find it really helpful that it's just a half hour workout without having to go anywhere too. Also working out in a cold room with little on so not too sweaty. I don't know if this would be any good with your condition so apologies if I'm being a bit evangelical about it!

No need to apologise! I've got hydradenitis superteva (recently diagnosed). Swimming is recommended however I don't have the confidence 😩

I am debating doing some home workouts - actually spent the weekend making some floor space for me to use!! I did EmKfit videos from YouTube earlier this year when I did a sponsored charity thing for Crohn's disease and really enjoyed them so thinking of giving those a go and see how I get on. Even got the tower fan out ready - so your definitely spot on with your suggestions 😂

VixFromThe6ix · 23/10/2023 17:29

@El1988 eeeee I see a line! I see a line! 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 for you!!

Finally got something approaching a peak on the one step OPK so am taking that as a positive … until proven otherwise. I also have EWCM so am going to try and get some dtd in for the next few days in the hope that this is a good egg… 🤞

SnookyPook · 23/10/2023 19:29

Evening ladies.. unfortunately looks like I can't catch a break 😞 HCG levels today were really crap. I'd gone from 69 day of my BFP to 137... 8 days later... So definitely prepared for the worst. Still got my scan tomorrow so just hoping it's not ectopic or anything at least and doesn't drag on too long. I just feel utterly crap tbh and right now, don't even feel like I can keep going with all of this. And yet.. I know I'm not done with hoping and trying. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Feeling very much, 'why do we keep doing this to ourselves?!?' And guess what... My original due date from my MMC is a week today! Woo! 🙃😩 Sorry guys but struggling this eve. Love to you all xx

Fullofconfusion · 23/10/2023 19:32

@SnookyPook sending you hugs. Sorry you’re feeling so down. I hope it’s positive news tomorrow

Hoping theres good news for you

worldwidetravel2017 · 23/10/2023 20:52

I know weight can be a touchy subject with females
Dr today said to me that losing some weight would help etc
Im eating much better than i was 9 months ago
Snacking less etc
Cut out fizzy drinks except the odd caffene free coke...

Just wondered if anyone else here was aiming to lose some weight etc...

I had a significant illness last yr & year before & a significant diagnosis this yr so tis tricky

Cressie2 · 23/10/2023 21:01

@SnookyPook sending you the biggest hug tonight. A successful pregnancy is still possible even with low or slow rising hCG levels but I do hope tomorrow goes well for you. You must be feeling the past few weeks have been a rollercoaster of emotions but know that we are all here for you.

@CurlyWurly1991 good news. You’re about to enter the two (longest wait ever) week wait like me (2DPO).

@JustTrying1 sorry to hear about your diagnosis. Is that like acne? You should definitely throw yourself into swimming. It’s so good for you on so many fronts and I don’t know about other ladies on here but I barely ever look at anyone in the pool and I’m more worried about how I look myself! I think everyone gets self conscious so just get a swimsuit that makes you feel fab and enjoy the headspace and time in the pool.

@worldwidetravel2017 so much luck with your scan tomorrow ❤️

Sending you all well wishes tonight X
