VixFromThe6ix · 01/10/2023 16:38

@Cressie2 thank you and will do!!

@MrsBP15 I laughed at that, thank you!!

@worldwidetravel2017 I think excitement will set in once I have lower chances of losing it... aka 7-8week ultrasound

Been having 3 back to back blighted ovum pregnancy miscarriages. Am scared of getting pregnant again. Anyone who has been through this and successfully had a viable pregnancy and what was done different for the successful pregnancy. Please help.

Tommys baby charity -, Google

Great support re miscarriage

BucksOxonMum · 01/10/2023 17:40

@Callmeslonge I found The Miscarriage Association wonderful support when I lost my baby. Also Aching Arms.

So I’ve had my new opks delivered and they’re a feint line. So the others were a faulty batch. I’ll get onto them about a refund!

Supertrooper101 · 01/10/2023 18:57

:) @CurlyWurly1991 thanks..ill give it a go for one cycle but i think it will frustrate me more than help me when google says it isnt right or not where it should be 🤣... already getting peed off as am cd14 and opks are like, nar mate, not yet lol i drink ALOT of fluids so come evening my urine is see through so that dosent pick anything up either lol

Fullofconfusion · 02/10/2023 00:07

@VixFromThe6ix that’s so exciting!! Everything crossed for you. I’ve been reading for a while before joining in so I’m hoping this is it for you.

I’ve not tracked ovulation before so going to give it a few months of just seeing how it goes and getting used to my cycle being back again before I start tracking. I know it took a long time for my cycle to come back properly when I came off the pill last time so I doubt very much that I’ll have anything to track for a while

sending lots of October baby dust to everyone currently hoping to conceive 💖

Bumblebee413 · 02/10/2023 06:49

Welcome @Fullofconfusion, it’s lovely to have you x

RoseH36 · 02/10/2023 07:42

AF is arriving so that's over £80 spent ordering more Proceive and Clearblue tests. Honestly dread how much I've spent this year. Fingers crossed this will be the last lot 🙏

RoseH36 · 02/10/2023 08:03

Found this in a pack of positivity cards I had from a training event. Thought it was fitting for us all ❤️

D11PO for me, have managed not to test but husband says he thinks I'm being pre-mentstrual in my mood so not a great sign. We only managed to have sex twice in my fertile window this month so hopes are not high.
Period is due weds so will test that day if no sign of it.

BucksOxonMum · 02/10/2023 10:07

@RoseH36 Thats lovely 🥰

@SouthwestSis You’ve done well not to test so far! Fingers crossed for you.

I’ve woken up with a rotten head cold today, so feeling rather meh. Loads of housework waiting for me and really need to get stuck into my coursework too, but no motivation for either!

SnookyPook · 02/10/2023 10:39

@RoseH36 aw thank you, that's lovely 🥰

@SouthwestSis ah it's horrible when you have a gut feeling like that a few days before AF is due... hopefully you're wrong! 🤞🏻

@BucksOxonMum hope your cold clears up soon. Horrible when you have lots of stuff to do and you just want to mooch.

Not much to report here. Plodding on through the early days of the tww and wondering what lies ahead... 😌

happytobemrsg · 02/10/2023 12:26

@SouthwestSis I’m hoping to do the same as you & not test until AF is late. Let’s see if I actually have the willpower when it comes to it!

CD11 here & I think I saw some EWCM. Would make sense given I thought I had O pain on Saturday. I have terrible cramps & diarrhoea though. Not feeling great today.

Fullofconfusion · 02/10/2023 12:32

@Bumblebee413 thank you. It’s nice to have people to chat to as none of my friends or family know that I’m TTC.

@RoseH36 that’s really sweet. I hope your purchases are your last and your positivity card was a sign.

@happytobemrsg I hope you feel better soon

MrsBP15 · 02/10/2023 13:05

Happy Monday everyone! @RoseH36 love that card! I was thinking of getting some of these for myself, goodness knows I need all the positivity I can get!!

About to ovulate here, probably Wednesday or Thursday. Have DTD twice so far and hopeful we'll be good to go for the rest of the week. In other news we booked our trip to the Caribbean over half term!! First holiday abroad just the two of us in the many years we've been together and we're very lucky that we have somewhere to stay whilst we are there so the main expense was the flights. Also delayed honeymoon, also hopefully last holiday just the two of us!! It will be my fertile window then so I'm thinking just going with the flow, no OPKs and just lots of relaxed, holiday sex. I've heard sometimes it actually does the trick??

Also, for those who are trying not to test, it made me think of when my girlfriends would break up with someone and they didn't want to text or call them so I would say "whenever you pick up the phone to text him, just text me instead" We could do that on here! Whenever you're going to test (if you don't want to) then send a message on here! Ok, maybe a bit much but just a thought 😂and as ever, no judgement to those that do, I know lots of people find it helpful ❤

SnookyPook · 02/10/2023 13:33

@MrsBP15 oh that holiday sounds amazing and great that it coincides with fertile week! Have deffo heard of chilled out holiday sex working for people! 🤞🏻 At least it's something nice to look forward to as well 😊 Also, love the idea of the thread being our distraction from testing!

@Fullofconfusion sorry not sure if I welcomed you! Welcome! 😄

CurlyWurly1991 · 02/10/2023 13:37

@MrsBP15 that sounds like an incredible holiday!! I am very jealous!!

@RoseH36 Ugh same here on the new cycle costs. I’m using cheapie OPKs but have ordered DH’s sperm analysis which was a big chunk of cash to put down, even with 20% off.

Update from my blood tests and still waiting for the hormone results but see my iron is low (again). I’ve supplemented on and off over the years and as far as I was aware wasn’t very symptomatic. At 29, I definitely need to increase the ferritin as it does have an impact on fertility. Also really important during pregnancy so not great to start off with a deficiency.

CurlyWurly1991 · 02/10/2023 13:38

29 is my ferritin number not my age sadly. Aged 37!

worldwidetravel2017 · 02/10/2023 15:04

@CurlyWurly1991

Ive been there
Mine was 8 !

Luckily had iron iv

I recommend floradix gentle iron liquid. Twice a day

2 x wheatabix a day - ace for iron

Sunday roast meat of choice ,- beef

Lotsa peas

happytobemrsg · 02/10/2023 15:45

Love that idea @MrsBP15 ! I’ll be on here begging you to let me test 11DPO 😂 And they do say your best shot is when you’re super relaxed. The holiday sounds incredible ☀️

Is Wheatabix good for iron @worldwidetravel2017 ? I didn’t realise. Is it fortified? I don’t like eating meat so that might be something I can eat regularly.

Still feeling very bloated and crampy. Supposed to go to yoga tonight. I know it’ll probably do me good but I just want to curl up in bed.

The cheaper / ' asda equivalent ' ones wheat bisks or whatever they are called - the the iron on the box
2 a day of those is better than say a different cereal with less iron etc ..

One of my friends swore by 2 a day of those her entire pregnancy

CurlyWurly1991 · 02/10/2023 15:56

Thanks @worldwidetravel2017 ive been down this road before and found high dose supplementation most effective, follow the iron protocol on FB.
I have coeliac which affects absorption. Iron bisglycinate and 1000mg vit c on an empty stomach, and a later double dose of Spatone again with a vitamin C is hopefully going to do the trick.
