I think our previous thread is full? I can't find a new one anyone has started but sorry if I've missed it. I'll tag some of us below but please add anyone I've missed

Hi all, thanks for your good wishes. Unfortunately we had disappointing results this morning. We only had poor quality embryos and nothing to freeze. There are some they will keep an eye on until tomorrow in case they catch up but v unlikely. They gave us the option to transfer two, which we did, as otherwise they will be wasted, but I think our chances are very slim.

We've both been quite disappointed as it's been much worse than expected from what we had on Saturday. I think they all felt sorry for us tbh.

@krissy12 thanks for asking, not so good unfortunately.

I did get pregnant but had late onset OHSS so I've been poorly and back and forth to hospital for over a week. The repeating HCG tests showed v slow rise so unfortunately it's all for nothing as it's a chemical (or ectopic). I go back once more for last testing on Weds to make sure HCG is dropping or 0, but I'm feeling hopeful it will be as I'm starting to feel better today. OHSS usually gets worse as your HCG rises so I'm really hoping that means it's nearly over and it's not an ectopic. Hoping to get back to work later in the week. I have to have injections of blood thinners for another week and a half but should be the last thing after Weds. I am sick of being a pin cushion now!

Need to do some research and planning about what clinic we choose for next steps (current one is so far away), and think about the cost element which is eye watering. I've been pretty upset on and off but feeling more positive today. There's no point having the "poor me, why me" mindset.

@LucyLoopyLu I'm really sorry to hear your news. I really hope you're doing as well as you can be, and are taking time for yourself to process and rest. It sounds exhausting physically and mentally. I hope that tomorrow is as painless as possible, I'll be thinking of you. It's great that you're feeling more positive (I'm sure it comes and goes), but do let yourself grieve and feel anything you need to feel. Sending love x

@DesertSnow thank you. The past 2 years have been such a let down. I keep thinking back to worrying about where we would put the cot in our bedroom, where we would put a pram, how I much all the baby things would cost. What a joke now, considering how much private IVF is going to cost! Over 2 years and all this effort to get a BFP and it was already bad news again in 48 hours. Now things seem more challenging and a baby seems further off than ever. Going into the second round we have more problems and worries, not less.

I'm actually ok but I'm a bit worried about my husband. He's been very down this week.

Praying for a result tomorrow that rules out an ectopic. I feel quite nervous of that.

@LucyLoopyLu so sorry to read your update I'm sad and frustrated for you it seems so unfair can't imagine how you are both feeling
was this your nhs round or did you go private this time?
fingers crossed ectopic gets ruled out for you today

@krissy12 thank you. Unfortunately HCG has risen to 526 so ectopic not ruled out. I have to go for a scan next week to see what they can see.

Just checking in, really. CD13 for me- I started taking EPO from CD1 with my other supplements and it's made a big difference. Not much else to update right now.

@HeathenPlayingHouse thank you. I am really finding waiting for the end hard 💔 I think I was naive that it would be over quickly.

Nice to see your update but sorry you're still on the TTC train. I've seen some things about EPO but not tried it! Do you just take it before ovulation?

@LucyLoopyLu I'm sorry you're having a rough time ❤️ I found the waiting really hard too during my MC, I just wanted to draw a line and move on but it took so long.

With the EPO, I take it from CD1 up until ovulation, either confirmed or when I see that the EWCM has stopped. Then I plan to change to baby aspirin for the TWW.

Hi everyone.

Just an update if anyone is still watching the thread.
We've now had a 6 week scan and an 8 week scan, both showing embryo in the right place, measuring correctly, and with a heartbeat. I am still very anxious given the dodgy HCG early on, but I've been discharged from the fertility clinic now and let my GP know.

There have been so many ups and downs I think me and my husband are just exhausted from it. We've also been ill with covid and I'm still suffering a bit with OHSS and early preg symptoms.

Hopefully this little embryo continues to be a fighter - if all goes well due date is Christmas day

@LucyLoopyLu omg I thought pregnancy was ectopic so pleased it wasn't and everything is going okay and hopefully will continue to do so. I understand the anxiety I was the same after my mc here if you want to chat

@Houseelf90 thank you. Honestly don't know how we've got this far when the doctor and nurses were so sure we had no chance before the scans. We were absolutely shocked when they said it looked ok at the 6 week scan
