Hi everyone
I think our previous thread is full? I can't find a new one anyone has started but sorry if I've missed it. I'll tag some of us below but please add anyone I've missed

@LucyLoopyLu Oh I'm so pleased to hear that it went well and that all the people were nice - that really helps and I'm sure you were nervous - and the journey probably didn't help with that.

I'm sure it must be really overwhelming, but how wonderful that you have a timeline in place already - and we're only 10 days into the year! March isn't too long to wait, but it is far enough away to give you some time to get your head round it, and you can go and enjoy your holiday knowing you've got everything in place to move forward ☺️

Houseelf90 · 10/01/2024 21:23

@LucyLoopyLu so glad your appointment went well and they were all lovely, that makes a big difference!! Sounds very nerve wracking but also very exciting to have some more dates in the diary!! Wishing you all the luck in the world; and enjoy your holiday!

HeathenPlayingHouse · 05/02/2024 17:19

Hello all! I hope everyone is doing ok ❤️

@LucyLoopyLu I'm glad you're appointment went well ❤️

My first post-MC AF arrived on 7th Jan, so I'm just waiting to see how it goes. We originally weren't going to TTC until the end of March to avoid clashing with our wedding/honeymoon later this year.

But when I noticed fertile CM, we thought "why not?". Only managed to BD twice (and only once with Preseed) because I was ill, but better than nothing.

I'm guessing I'm around 10-11 DPO today- feeling tired with a light headache, but that could more likely be PMS 😂

krissy12 · 05/02/2024 20:28

@HeathenPlayingHouse hoping this is your lucky month sending baby dust

LucyLoopyLu · 05/02/2024 21:37

@HeathenPlayingHouse thank you lovely. Two more natural cycles to go (in fertile window now) so still trying.

So nice to hear from you and hope you're doing ok. Hope you're feeling better (I've been ill loads this winter, hope it wasn't too bad for you). Twice is definitely still a decent chance! Fingers crossed for you x

hi just checking in to see how everyone is doing?

LucyLoopyLu · 29/02/2024 17:55

Hi @krissy12
We had our nurse's appointment today and will be (hopefully) starting our first IVF cycle when my period comes around 22nd March. Still trying this cycle as you never know!

Only problem is they had us on their system for approx 4th March (no idea why, they never asked me for predicted cycle timings) and they don't have as many staff in at the end of the month. Hope we don't get bumped another cycle later - the nurse is going to raise it and ring me to confirm tomorrow.

Got shown the injections etc today so I feel like I want to just get it over with sooner rather than later now

How are you?

OP posts:
DesertSnow · 29/02/2024 21:46

@LucyLoopyLu I was thinking of you th other day and meant to message. I can imagine being shown the injections makes it all seem very real. Not long to go now! Hopefully it won't get bumped another cycle. I hope you're doing ok emotionally?

krissy12 · 01/03/2024 10:35

@LucyLoopyLu how frustrating hopefully it will all go ahead as planned you'll just be wanting to get started and get it over with

LucyLoopyLu · 01/03/2024 19:07

@krissy12 thanks lovely, yeah especially because the dates actually fall quite usefully into two weeks over Easter when my work diary is a lot quieter than normal, which will help as I don't have to miss as much important stuff. I'm not telling them I'm doing IVF so have to be creative

@DesertSnow thanks lovely, yeah the injection stuff was pretty horrible. I felt really relieved afterwards, I think I was worried about crying or something. The phobia is a bitch! It was alright though. I told the nurse I was hoping it would be good exposure therapy so I don't have to worry about needles so much in future, and she was so lovely about it. The student nurse (shadowing) said the same, I don't think either of them liked needles when they started nursing training. Obviously still worried about actually doing it but I've got my husband to help me.

Luckily she called my today and said it's fine about the scheduling, she's moved me to the right week on the system so just waiting now. Last fertile window starting around now

DesertSnow · 02/03/2024 20:56

@LucyLoopyLu I can imagine it's a petty intense process with the needles. Hoping it all goes ok. Glad they haven't pushed your dates back, you must be so keen to get on with it.

Dreamingof3 · 04/03/2024 17:22

Lovely to see updates in this thread ❣️ I'm sending positive energy to you all 💕
My little TTC in 2022 baby will be one in a few weeks 😭

Houseelf90 · 04/03/2024 20:29

@LucyLoopyLu so glad to see you got the dates sorted! It’s all getting very real for you now! I have everything crossed for you!

@Dreamingof3 it’s so scary how quickly it goes isn’t it! Mother’s Day is a year since we announced I was pregnant, Henry will be 6 months next week!

krissy12 · 05/03/2024 07:04

can't believe the ages of your babies already time really does go so fast

LucyLoopyLu · 06/03/2024 20:26

@DesertSnow thanks so much, I'm sure it will be ok I just have to push through my fear

@Dreamingof3 hope you and family are doing ok. Do you have a lovely plan for the first birthday?

@Houseelf90 thank you!! I need all the luck I can get, it's been a long two years trying. That six months seems to have flown though! Hope you are doing well?

OP posts:
Houseelf90 · 06/03/2024 21:48

@LucyLoopyLu I know everyone says it, and it’s very easy for us to say, but it really will be worth the wait and more when you get a baby in your arms.
My niece was born mid February after 3.5 years of them trying and then giving up all hope. But she’s here safe and sound 🥰
We are doing well thank you; I feel like we’re finally getting into a routine and (touch wood) sleep is starting to improve - though I have totally jinxed that now!)
I hope you are well aside from all your IVF stuff? X

DesertSnow · 26/03/2024 20:36

Hi lovely @LucyLoopyLu, just wanted to check in and see if you're doing ok? I think you were due to start IVF around now? Thinking of you xx

LucyLoopyLu · 27/03/2024 11:58

Hi @DesertSnow thanks for asking, you're so sweet to remember.
Yes started my stims injections on Sunday morning so on day 4 using the Rekovelle. Tomorrow we also add in the Cetrotide which I'm not looking forward to (it's very scary looking)! The injections have been ok so far, my husband has been so good at doing them for me and I'm really grateful he has been so lovely and reassuring about it. I can imagine it is frustrating but he's been so patient and kind - I think I am getting a little better with needles in general but I do still get very anxious.
Next scan is Monday and if we're good to go then egg collection will be around Thursday next week. Although might need more days of stims of course.

How are you?

@Houseelf90 lovely to hear about your niece. Yes I'm not ready to give up any time soon but we will see. I'm not really thinking about the possible end result at the moment, just thinking about 1 day at a time and getting through this process. I actually had a moment this morning where I remembered why we're doing this and how if we get lucky we will get to be parents. Sounds silly but I've generally just pushed that to the back of my mind for months.

OP posts:
DesertSnow · 27/03/2024 14:00

@LucyLoopyLu Ah I'm so pleased it's all underway. Glad your husband is helping you with the needles - not fun even without a phobia. You are a trooper! I have everything crossed for you, but totally agree with your one day at a time approach, it's the only way to keep a clear head I think. I'd love to hear how you get on if you feel like sharing. Rooting for you!

I'm ok thanks. Luna is 7.5 months now, which seems just mad. We've got her first real trip away from home coming up for a 3 day wedding, so preparing ourselves for that.

krissy12 · 05/04/2024 13:03

sorry just catching up was locked out my account

@LucyLoopyLu how are you doing? glad things are moving for you keeping everything crossed you have some positive news soon

@DesertSnow can't believe luna is 7.5 months old already

LucyLoopyLu · 06/04/2024 13:31

@DesertSnow @krissy12
Hi both, thanks for asking, we are doing well so far. Egg collection was Wednesday. We got 14 eggs, 12 were mature, 9 fertilised. Had the day 3 update this morning and all are developing - 8 are 6 cells (which is what they look for) and good grades, one is a little behind at only 4 cells but they will keep an eye on it and give it a chance. Just need to keep calm until Monday now - embryo transfer in the morning and just really really hoping we will get one or two frozen as well so we have more chances, but I know there's no guarantees we will get any blasts.

OP posts:
DesertSnow · 07/04/2024 13:40

@LucyLoopyLu Great to hear your update. From my limited knowledge on the subject, those look like some pretty positive numbers! Keeping my fingers and toes crossed for you.

Houseelf90 · 07/04/2024 17:25

@LucyLoopyLu that sounds positive, keeping everything crossed for tomorrow and beyond for you 🤞🏼🤞🏼

Welshgal85 · 07/04/2024 21:02

Keeping everything crossed for you @LucyLoopyLu 🤞🏻💕

krissy12 · 07/04/2024 22:38

@LucyLoopyLu hope the transfer goes well
