Ladies - you may now continue the chatting

Belgian - sorry you feel like your AF is due to arrive but fingers crossed it doesn't for you. I also hate that feeling when you think it is all over for another month

MJIM - how was the haircut? Are you now looking fab? I honestly think Mr MJIM must be one of the best DH's around you lucky thing!!

Soosy - good luck with the frosties - that really is a fab name for them

HM2J - hope things are better with your DH but you can always blame hormones for your behaviour - one of the advantages of being pg I guess.

Hi to everyone else - hope you are all having a good weekend.

CD27 here - no sign of AF. The spotting seems to have stopped and (I know this was really stupid) I looked up implantation bleeding last night and it sounded exactly like the spotting I had but I really wish I hadn't now as I have got my hopes up and I am just going to crashing down next week when AF shows her face. Bloody internet - too much information is a bad thing sometimes!!

Ceebee have a large hot chocolate, with cream and put feet up, sounds as though you need some time to relax. I throughly recommend hypnotherapy cd, after which I have half the patience of a saint. Should have listened to them more during IVF.

BB Sorry to hear you are feeling grotty. I think af is on its way too as I have filthy cold and I only get ill around af time! You are never too old, my sil had DS at very nearly 41 and so did another friend of mine.

HC sorry to hear af is here, I got pg twice in a 28 day cycle so I think that can only be good news!

H2MJ LOL I know what you mean about DH's!!

We were supposed to see mil this weekend but she has had a wobbly about a builder who did some work, not very well, who she refused to pay. Cut a long story, the builder took her to court and she lost. It's not much money, but she now wants to appeal. DH on the edge because she really is v difficult. Glad we didn't go!

Hi all.

I am having a crappy day. I now feel worse than I did yesterday (two large glasses of wine at lunchtime could be contributory factors although it was a good excuse for an afternoon snooze in bed as well .

No news here re anything at all.

Haven't broached subject of cat again. DH will probably blow a gasket - makes me think I should not bother suggesting it at all . Would like to point out that I wouldn't purchase a pet unless we could afford to insure it. We live on a reasonably busy road and I recently heard that our neighbour had to scrape two of their cats off the road - put me off a bit.

Ceebee - I hope you had an implantation bleed.

Hope your haircut went well Mjob.

Hi to everyone else too.

Here's a related topic. Is anyone going to abstain next month because they don't want a december baby?

Bellie · 08/03/2008 17:36

Hi all,

sorry you are having a crappy day willmouse - but hope you feel a bit better after your nap!

BB - sorry that you feel that AF is on her way, but it ain't over till she sings!!

Ceebee - really hope that it is implantation bleed.

HC -sorry about AF but sounds like your cycle is settling down.

Soozy - I think Frosties is a fab name for the frozen ones! It will always make me smile now when I see the packets in the supermarkets Also pleased to hear that there is some movement in the housing front - I guess reducing the price did the trick then!

Hello to everyone else and hope that you are having a great weekend.

Ov today (day 12) which is very early for me - usually about day 15-16 - do you think that it is due to the HSG?? Anyway luckily it co-incides with DH being at home!!

HumphreysCorner · 08/03/2008 17:46

willmouse-I have lost 2 cats on the road. Not nice Bide your time and try later. Perhaps best not to use my tactic and get a cat behind DH's back. Actually, my first cat I got behind my dad's back when I lived at home.

ceebee-keep hoping.

MJIM-do you look really glam?

willmouse-if I drink at lunchtime I am done for and can't function for the rest of the day. Hope you improve soon.

Any other testers to be about today?

Hope everyone is having a good day. My bloody migraine is doing my head in-not helped by a wild DD1.

Belgian - ooh, tiredness sounds a little bit more positive - fingers and everything else crossed for you aswell.

Willmouse - sorry you have had a crappy day but I agree with HC that if I drink at lunchtime, I might aswell write the day off

Bellie - enjoy tonight

Haven't decided about whether to abstain next month or not - will see what happens this week and then make that decision. I am really against having a December baby but that seems quite petty in the grand scheme of things really.

Had a good day until about 10 minutes ago when Chelsea (the loves of my life ) lost to Barnsley - I swear since DS was born, he has been a curse on Chelsea despite being togged out in all the latest kits, babygros etc!

Anyway, will go and put him to bed and finish off last night's wine - I know it is not what I should be doing but I refuse to stop drinking until I actually see a BFP - keeps me sane I think.

Soosy - sorry, meant to say thanks for the kind words about the hot chocolate - I can't do that but I did get some Easter Eggs from Sainsburys (they are SO cheap) which may not see past tonight

OP posts:
juanitad · 08/03/2008 20:01

Hi everyone,

Not long till we find out if there are any more BFPs on this thread! It's getting towards crunch time for a few of us. Just in case this month isn't my month, I treated myself to some gorgeous new underwear today, ready for next cycle! I don't suppose a December baby would be ideal, but as we are TTC #1, I don't feel as though I can risk missing a month. I want to take every opportunity available to get my baby!!! CD28 for me, I'm expecting AF any time in the next three days. Still not feeling anything - not AF symptoms (although I don't really get them anyway, so maybe not having AF symptoms is an AF symptom!) and not pg symptoms either, although maybe I wouldn't know what they were like either, as I have no experience to go on!! So, to sum up no news here of any kind!! I need to stop over-analysing everything!!

Going to watch Crufts now - love that programme! I would be a dog person given half the chance - I love them, but as we are both out at work all day, it doesn't seem fair to have one. So we have a cat instead, they are much simpler to look after. Wilmouse, I caught my DH in a moment of weakness. I think we were watching some programme or other that had a cute cat in, and I said "wouldn't it be lovely to have a cat?" DH, in a moment of weakness said "yeah, it'd be nice", and the next day I was on the phone to the Cats Protection League, to find out how to adopt a cat!!!

Hi All
MJIM hope your hair looks good. You and BB have great husbands. Mine is cooking me steak at the moment so he is pretty good too!

Soosy hope the frosties are successful

HC feel for you on the migraine front having seen my DH have so many over the years

Oh good luck everyone about to test. Ceebee it does sound encouraging. Finger crossed

HM2J-you are absolutely allowed to be snappy and hormonal. In fact I think it is obligatory in early pregnancy.

Personally I would not let birth month impact my TTC, but as I have a bit of a hit and miss pregnancy rate (well not getting pregnant-staying pregnant)that makes a difference I guess.

I am very tired today. DH and I went out together (very rare these days) to see our friend sing in a pub band. We had a great night. I thought the music would be salsa music but it was jazzy Spanish stuff (can you tell I am really up on my music trends)and it made for a nice mellow atmosphere. However, we did not get in til 1am so am exhausted. Had to go to a party with DS which was full of two year olds. Plus I forgot my friend has a cat so I ended up sneezing through the whole party

soosy · 08/03/2008 21:15

PMSL I have to say that all this timing of pg's is all easier said than done! I have plenty of friends with december children, one on christmas day and my DgodD on New year's eve and there are pro's and con's either way!

Bellie · 09/03/2008 08:44

BB any news this morning?

Sounds like a few of you are coming up to test - how exciting fingers crossed!

There is no way that I am going to stop trying even if it means a Christmas baby - although DH maybe away for 2 weeks which will probably include the critical time so may be abstaining without wanting to

4cm mjim - as you say a real person now!!

Off to do the shopping when the shops open - otherwise no Sunday lunch for the Bellie household - am dead of those with husbands that cook - if it were up to my dh we would live on beans on toast or fried egg sandwiches

MrsPuddleduck · 09/03/2008 08:52

Morning all.

There are now so many of us I forget who said what!

DH is a rugby fan but as he is Welsh he is v smug at the moment. I think Soosy is Welsh too? DH was born in Bridgend and grew up there until the age of 17. He also supports Cardif so is glad Chelsea got knocked out of the FA cup (sorry Ceebee). They are playing today (can't remember who - I tend to lose interest - but my parents are coming over for lunch and to watch the game - well my Dad will!).

Bellie - I conceived DS1 the month I had a laperoscpopy, and was told by the consultant after that if they have a 'poke' around it often moves things along and makes you release an egg. I have my fingers crossed for you.

Any news Ceebee?

HC - I would never dare get a cat behind DH's back - he would probably combust and have a heart attack He is one of these who gets way to wound up about trivia so an unplanned cat would tip him over the edge . Anyway, I would have one of Becky's kittens and they are not ready for another 4 weeks.

Hi to everyone else, there's too many to mention now!

Hi everyone ? hope you are all having a lovely relaxing Sunday.

Juanitad/Belgian/Willmouse ? any news yet?? Have you decided when you are going to test?

MJIM ? glad the haircut was enjoyable and you look fab! If and when I get pg I am going to tell my manager asap as part of my job involves 300-mile round trips once or twice a month and if I feel anything like I did with DS, there is no way I could manage driving all that way, certainly not in the first 12 weeks.

CD28 here now and no AF ? I have had no more spotting and my boobs have been sore for the last few days ? they don?t hurt when I poke them (which I have done several times ) but it is just like a constant dull ache ? not really painful at all. Now I am still trying not to get my hopes up but how do you stop yourself??? I am going to look really silly aren?t I when AF arrives and me wittering on about implantation bleeding and sore boobs

Been to the gym and then taken DS swimming this morning. DH just gone to cricket practice and DS is asleep so have just had a little nap. I love Sundays

Afternoon all

Day 2 of my lovely migraine-am dosing up permanently and agree with my mum (she was a sufferer until her late 40's) that we would eat dog dirt if it would ease the pain instantly. Anyway, I cut the grass this morning, first cut so it was very thick and a tad wet so took me 3 hours. I find it most therapeutic. Couldn't collect the cuttings as it was too wet so there are piles of grass all over. Oh well.

Come on, there must be some testers???????????

Went to see SIL's new horse yesterday and he is a lovely boy.

Free listing weekend on Ebay so off to put my bra on.

Love to all

Ceebee, it must be impossible not to get your hopes up, as it sounds really promising for you!! How long is your cycle usually? I am on CD29, my cycle has been 28-31 days since coming off the pill. I too have been poking my boobs a lot the last few days, trying to convince myself that they are sore, but I have to admit defeat - they're not sore at all, they feel perfectly normal! Oh to feel not normal!!! Will dutifully wait for AF to arrive some time this week and if she doesn't show her ugly mug then I'll test after work on Friday. How about you? When do you think you might test?

HC - your migraines sound rotten. DH gets them occasionally and it really knocks him out for about 3 days. Hope you feel better soon.

Hope everyone else has had a fab weekend. Watch out for this storm tomorrow!

Bellie · 09/03/2008 17:01

oohhh I am getting excited for you all

I know how hard it is not to get your hopes up so I will keep my fingers crossed for you?

So that's Belgium, Ceebee and Juanitad this week then - any more? Willmouse you must be coming up too??

HC hope the migrane is getting better.

Had a really peaceful day today - do you think it is the calm before the storm

carolyn1941 · 09/03/2008 19:27

Hi everyone!

I have just got back from SIL where we have been all weekend. Had a lovely time and lots of nice food and drink. Her ds (10) is fab and DP and I had lots of fun wrestling and playing twister with him. Had a bit of a nightmare though. Did ov test just before we set off on saturday and FINALLY got a +ve! (CD17/31) Told DP but he couldn't bring himself to BD in her house!!! Couldn't wait to get home this afternoon and get straight to bed! (sorry if TMI!) He even said we can have another go tonight!!!(unheard of!)!

I'm soooooooexcited for you all about to test!!!! Got absolutely everything crossed...execept legs he he. Surely someone must get a BFP???????

Today is my last day in my 20's!! AAAAAGH!!!
My parents came round with a big cake and helium balloon, and a voucher for beauty parlour/massage place. Thought I might save it for when pg!We went out to gorgeous restaurant on friday night and drank copius amounts of wine. I had sea bass(yummy). Really felt like telling them about ttc but would like to surprise them!

soosy · 09/03/2008 19:36

Ceebee sounds, quite hopeful, do your boobs tingle when you take your bra off?

Bellie your fantastic weight loss may have shortened your cycle, If I ever manage to lose the half a stone I need too, then my cycle shortens too.

Willmouse I am Welsh, and come from a town not far from Bridgend. I have to say the rugby has been a wonderful surprise! and I am trying v hard not to be smug as it is the only subject DH and I row about (serious cross stuff) the only time I have ever gone to bed cross with him was after a row about rugby. I have to say though a lot of English People are very smug when they win. I just get cross that the Beeb give England more coverage than scotland, Ireland and wales!

HC sil's horse, lucky girl I would love to have one. When (if) we move I will go riding in Windsor Great Park, haven't been since DS was born. DO you need a Bra for Ebay?

Sx

PMSL soosy-I am selling a brand new bra. Made the mistake of buying a black one when I bought a white one and the white one doesn't fit at all. Did not dare return them to the shop as my SIL tried and the lady was pretty scary.

carolyn-sounds like a fab weekend. A +ive OV stick-sounds good to me so get BDing.

Good luck to testers.
