morning all - had a great day yesterday - family party and dd was so well behaved and looked gorgeous in her party dress!

Carolyn, pre dd I only had a 10 day luteal phase and I conceived her!!

Welcome to tinkerbell - and good luck!

soosy - fingers crossed for you for this month and the house too! I couldn't buy a house that near a chinese as my weight would soon be back on! If there is no noise or smell on a sat night you are probably ok.

HC - your dd is adorable!

Waving to all - is anyone testing soon??

Has Angel re-appeared yet?

ChocolateEclair · 13/04/2008 14:27

Hello ladies (it is me...carolyn..but have gone for a change!)

Thanks for the comments about the luteal phase! Not sure what to make of it tbh but I guess time will tell. I think I am now officially on the 2ww but it could be a 10daywait! I'm going to put my data into FF to see if it can work out what's going on!

soosy - good luck with the FET. I have everything crossed for you xxxxxxxxxx

Glad all the dc are behaving themselves and being lovely and cute!

I'm sure somebody must be testing soon (someone was ahead of me last month definetly!)

Angel has not been back on since the whole Australia trip thing. I'm guessing she has decided to stop ttc and might not come back.

I'm having a lovely quiet sunday, DP is at the pub with his dad.

welcome to tinkerbell. Forgot to say yesterday, sorry

Welcome Tinkerbell I hope you will find us a very friendly bunch.

Majormoo ? have you decided on the bed situation yet? Have you been to the docs yet?

Soosy ? the house sounds perfect and surely if you tested out the smell/noise on a Saturday night and it was ok, then there shouldn?t be a problem any night of the week.

Juanitad ? I remember that tiredness well from DS ? I used to get up, go to work, come home and go straight to bed for hours and barely got out of my pit at weekends either! Poor DH spent a lot of time on his playstation Make the most of it cos if you go for baby no.2, you can?t do that. Having said that, I have not been that tired with this pg (touch wood) ? just sick and I am not sure which is worse!

Chocolateeclair ? love the new name ? tis fab. I guess all you can do is wait and see what happens this month and you may have a clearer idea for next month (if, of course, you don?t get a BFP this month which I really really hope you do).

Angel hasn?t posted since she asked the question about going to Australia ? I hope she comes back and updates us.

MJIM ? I got the name Cassie from a book I am reading (funnily enough, Majormoo, it is about a woman who can see into the future so maybe there is a reason why she is called Cassandra) ? but I would register the baby as Cassie as I am not that keen on Cassandra. I am SO struggling with a boys name though!

Well, having said the tiredness isn?t that bad this time, I have spent most of today in bed! DH looked after DS while I had a nap this morning but then DS fell asleep on DH?s lap so he brought him upstairs and we all had a sleep on our bed. Then I had another nap whilst DH looked after DS again . Thankfully DH is at home most of the next 2 weeks which is going to be such a great help and brill timing as these next few weeks will probably be the hardest in terms of sickness etc.

Got my booking in appointment with the MW on Wednesday ? can?t wait!

Hope you are all having good weekends

Tinkerbell - did you ov on Cd13/14? There are 3 temps higher than the previous 6? Not sure how good I am at interpreting!

Thanks for even more baby dust.

DH says it is more of a Thai Restaurant doing takeaway than a takeaway and he couldn't smell a thing. So after much discussion we have decided to put in an offer on the house, tomorrow, we shall see what happens..... am busy thinking of other plans just incase, as our offer will be quite a bit below the asking price.

CE love the name - are you having cravings? 10 days is not considered a short luteal phase! so do not panic.

Ceebee, you'd better have a girl then!!!

Bellie sounds as though you had a fab time yesterday, how is the weight loss going.

MJIM hope the tiredness is on the way out....

We bought Ds a bike today and he is so happy. He insisted that it came into the house overnight.(we have no garden at the moment, hence the move, and will have to store bike in neighbour's garage). He sat on the bike all evening and didn't want to go to bed as he would have to put the bicycle pump away.

Hope you all had a good weekend.

Sx

HumphreysCorner · 13/04/2008 21:08

Evening all

Have been to my nephews 10th B'Day family party. Very nice-especially someone else doing the food as my tum is still dodgy and cooking is off for me.

soosy-nice if you can live near a yummy Thai restaurant. Good luck with putting an offer in.

ChocolateEclair-yum, loving the name. What made you pick it?

Juanitad-9 weeks I'll just pop on Facebook to see how many days until TTC No3.........................aarrggghh 17 DH and I are getting a tad nervous about it. I think when it comes down to it I don't think he will dare send any men in. He wanted lots of practice first but it hasn't happened due to illness/tiredness etc. (excuses, excuses )

Have recorded the MotoGP bike racing so off to watch that. Till tomorrow then. Have a good evening all.

morning ladies
soosy sounds good
hc party sounds great

Heartmum2Jamie · 14/04/2008 09:44

OMG, you lot have been chatty, I will try my best to mention everyone!

HC, your dd is adorable! Also, only 17days left?? Ohhh, not long for you!

Ceebee, I like Cassie, am lol at the references to Cassandra, anyone here a Red Dwarf fan? I loved the episode with Cassandra! I am envious of all you people who are allowed to talk about names, my dh won't even talk about the pregnancy/baby, never mind help me with names. Perhaps I should just pick myself and then he will have to live with it! I thought of a boys name I quite liked the other day and forgot to write it down, now I can't blardy remember what it was, lol!

Welcome Tinkerbell this is a great thread!

Carolyn, loving the name change, now I may just have to add eclairs to my shopping list! As for getting a +O stick on cd 21, it could be down to a second hormonal shift, most women get one at around 7dpo. Try not to worry about short luteal phases. I got pregnant with ds2 and had a short LP at that time.

Juanitad, 9 weeks already?! I don't know why I am so suprised, I just turned 11 weeks today! Only 10 days until my 1st scan, it's going to drag, I know it. I feel like a kid waiting for xmas! As much as it's nice having a secret that only me, dh, my best friend and loads of people on the internet know (LOL!), I can't wait to tell the family!

Soosy, good luck on making an offer on the house!

Mjim, 15 weeks, yay! Won't be long before you should feel baby move. I guess you are going away soon too, are you excited?!

Bellie, sounds like you enjoyed the party, glad your dd was well behaved and gorgeous!

Waves at anyone else I missed! Have a great day everyone!

Hi to all!

Weekend was Ok (except listening to story of FIL's partner washing him down in the shower on holiday - and you all thought talking about CM was tmi! LOL!).

Soosy - hope you get your offer accepted.

Myjob - hope you have a lovely day.

I will have to catch up tomorrow - DS2 has a throat infection so is particularly high maintenance today .

I supposed to be booking 2000 holiday on Wednesday evening and can't decide where to go. Decisions, decisions. The truth is that it is so far away I can't really be bothered to look!

Angel2008 · 14/04/2008 13:39

Hi guys

SORRY it's been so long since my last post. It kind of feels odd now we stopped TTC mid-cycle and will have to stop completely for a few months, and then start again for a few months and then stop (don't think you can fly in the first 3 months of pregnancy or over 30 weeks or something). Will have to work it all out exactly but at the moment just want to get a result for this month either way! Am due Thursday. I keep doing tests after reading about that woman who got a BFP 10 days after ovulation but have all been negative so far. Although one I did on Friday showed a very very very faint line, you could hardly see it except when you held it up to the light! It was a ClearBlue test, are the faint lines there anyway or should I test again now/soon?? I would like to get a BFP if only because I have been really bad health-wise this month and it should kick me into touch!

Hope everyone else is well. Sorry have been lazy and not read through all the posts!

juanitad · 14/04/2008 16:33

Angel, it's good to have you back - we were all wondering where you've been!!! Re: flying - I think you can fly any time up to the last trimester, after which airlines won't accept you, cos they're scared you will give birth on the plane!! So technically you can fly in your first trimester - I went to Barcelona a couple of weeks ago, and all was fine. However, they do say that the best time to fly is in the second trimester, when the 'danger' period is over, I think I read that although it's only a teeny tiny risk, the risk of miscarriage is increased ever so slightly if you do fly in your first trimester. I decided to risk it, as it was only a 2-hour flight, but I can see why you wouldn't want to take that risk on a flight to the other side of the world! So what will happen if you do get a BFP this month? Will you postpone the Australia trip until another time, or try to bring it forward? Anyway, you can be excited whatever happens - a BFP means you get a baby, but BFN means you get a trip of a lifetime, and a baby later hopefully!!

Hi to everyone else, hope Monday was ok for all of you - quite a nice day for me, as some of my students are out of school on their work experience placements at the moment which meant I got an extra free lesson today, so could catch up on all the marking I didn't get round to doing this weekend, due to being in bed!!

Angel2008 · 14/04/2008 16:45

Hi Juanitad

Thanks for your reply, it is good to be back (and to be missed!!)

If I do get a BFP I can't go. But then again I wonder if my parents would go anyway (ie missing the birth and I guess having Xmas without me - although I am a big girl now!). Maybe I can persuade them to have an early (ie summer) Xmas!

What do you think about my test by the way?? I might do another one tonight.

Have you been ill? Hope you feel better now!

xxx

ChocolateEclair · 14/04/2008 17:22

hello ladies

Angel - welcome back! Wehave missed you and are all wondering what if it's a BFP?!? I hope you get whatever you want!

Soosy - ds sounds adorable on his bike in the house. That's very sweet. How old is he sorry? Hope your offer was accepted on the house!

Juanitad - 9 weeks! OMG! and to think you started ttc at the same time as me . Have you told many people yet? Have you told your head/boss?

MJIM - your day sounds fab. Much better than mine. Do you fancy a swap? You can teach Year 9 who are 'supposed' to be revising for SATs in 3 weeks!

HM2J - good luck for you scan! That's sooooo exciting! How come your DH won't discuss names or baby then?

Willmouse - hope your ds is ok. Horrid throat infections urgh. Didn't quite understand about the holiday 2000 so will wait for your update?!?!?

HC - 17 days!!! that has gone sooo fast! you must be getting excited now! Have you figured out how to try to get a boy yet? Do your charts make any more sense than mine? he he

ceebee - good luck for wednesday. What happens at a 'booking in' appointment then?

hello to tinkerbell and majormoo and everyone else! the list is getting very long now!

majormoo · 14/04/2008 18:40

hello everyone lots to catch up on.

Soosy really hope our FET is successful. As others have said if the Thai was quiet on the Sat night you would expect that to be their most busy night. The bike story is lovely.

Willmouse your in-laws sound interesting. I was a bit confused by 2000 as well. Did you mean 2009??

Angel good to hear from you. Either way baby or fab holiday it is good news. I am not sure about analysing the lines on tests really but people do say they have had faint ones that are positive. Try to hold off til Friday if you can.

HC not long at all for you now.It does feel a bit scary when you actually go for it rather than talking about it.

MJIM-you will probably feel the baby move really soon-exciting

Hello to everyone else.

We have had a lovely day as it has been really sunny so in the park and out for lunch.

Think we are going for the M&S bunkbeds, those of you that were desperate to find out that hugely exciting decision. Ceebee I will call the docs next week when DD back at school. They will not see you before 8 weeks at our surgery anyway

soosy · 14/04/2008 19:34

Hello yes Angel are you telling us something - do another test and let us know! I can't bear the suspense.

MJIM hope the tiredness is starting to go, sounds like you are going to have a fab evening, just the sort I like!

I can't believe you have your scan soon HM2J and Juanita is 9 weeks, this year seems to be going so fast.

Wise choice Majormoo, then you know the mattresses fit and it you have any problems they will change them. Also I was like you about doc's appoint, I didn't make one until I was 9 weeks with DS, almost didn't get into the hospital!

Willmouse LOL about holiday, I have a big one next year (40) and I want to go Babington House for 2 nights and as it is popular I told DH to do it now, but has he?.... no! We don't go abroad very often as we have a family house in Wales and TBH DS loves it there and its easy.

CE DS is 3 and very chatty, am beginning to worry about not having a sibling for him as he really needs company.

We haven't put an offer on the house yet, I spoke to the agent today and said the house was lovely but the location was not good. She didn't even try to talk me round so she knows it is a problem. I don't know what we are going to do, I do know I have to think about it a bit longer....

HC I think i shall be going for my FET about the time you start!

ceebee74 · 14/04/2008 19:54

Soosy ? that doesn?t sound very good about the house ? I guess the estate agent must have heard that before. Maybe you just need to think how the perfect house is out there somewhere for you.

HC ? 17 days how quickly has that come round??? Gosh, it must seem really ?real? for you and your DH!

HM2J ? my DH was exactly the same as yours first time round ? refused to discuss names or anything until I was at least 20 weeks ? but he seems more relaxed this time round. I am obsessed with names and have been planning baby names for months I think we have finally agreed on Cassie Rose for a girl.

MJIM ? how was your day? It sounds like an idyllic day ? how was the baby girl?? Just gorgeous I bet!

Willmouse ? your family sounds ?different? must keep you entertained though.

Angel ? great to have you back ? did think we had scared you off with our comments about flying to Australia. As for the test, a line is a line as far as my experience goes with pg tests ? but if you can just leave it a few days, it should get clearer (SO much easier said than done though unless you are MJIM)!

CE ? the ?booking in ? appointment is where you register with the midwifes ? basically fill in loads of forms/paperwork, they give you advice on what not to do in pg etc. Tbh, it is quite boring and I suspect this one will be much quicker as it is second time round ? but I am looking forward to it as it will make the pg seem ?real? iykwim. Plus, I got to know the community midwives quite well with DS so it will be nice to see them again.

Still feel crap although the MS is coming and going. Have a lovely day planned tomorrow as we are going over to my parents ? my brother, his gf and their 4 month old DS are visiting them and my sister and her 3 children are all going aswell so all my parents grandchildren will be together for the first time since my nephew was born. But it is a 90-minute drive which I am not particularly looking forward to! Have found sucking on sweets helps the sickness so will need to buy some. Just glad DH is not working and can drive otherwise it would have been very hard to drive there and back by myself in one day.

Heartmum2Jamie · 14/04/2008 20:27

CE, I don't think my dh means to come across as mean and hard hearted as he does sometimes, I know that he is scared and wants to see with his own 2 eyes that baby is well, so I can wait for the scan. Not so sure I will be as happy having to wait until 20 weeks though. Dh wants to know the sex, I am not so sure, so lots of discussion to be had about baby, it just may not be names, lol!

Angel, when do you plan on testing again?

Ceebee, Cassie Rose is a beautiful name! You'd better hope it's a girl then, lol! I hope the m/s starts to wear off for you soon.

Soosy, wise choice to think on the house some more. You will know in your heart if it is right. Also, I meant to say this morning, good luck with your FET, I have everything crossed for you.

HumphreysCorner · 14/04/2008 21:18

Angel-I got a line 3 days before with DD2 so test tomorrow, first thing.

Lost 3 lb at WW so now 3.5 lb under my goal. Getting far too many 'you are too thin' comments. Ah, but little do they know I will be ballooning soon (well, hopefully).

soosy-yes, May will be a busy time for us. Shame about the house but you have to be completely happy with your home.

Personally, I think all PG ladies should stay on here as well as the antenatal threads until the babies are born so I/we can keep track of all the milestones.

Waves to everyone else, rough night last night so a tad tired.

Bellie · 14/04/2008 21:52

evening all - another chatty day - it is great that we all have so much to talk about!!

Soosy - if you are having to think about the house, maybe it is not the 'one' - if there are some doubts you will probably find they only get worse! Not long until FET!

HC - great weight loss - it seems that you can't win - if you put a few pounds on I bet people would say have you stopped the diet . As you say hopefully you will put the weight on for all the right reasons!!

I am sorry for all you with m/s it must be so hard for you all.

Angel - it is sounding positive to me too!! Wait as long as you can and then rush back on here to let us know the outcome!!

Another of my friends announced their pregnancies today (but still feeling for me) - I am going out on Friday night - was supposed to be a boozy one but now 3 out of the 4 of us are pregnant . Hopefully their baby dust will rub off on me! cd 20 here and it feels like an enternity this month.

The names are sounding lovely - I really like Rose with Cassie.

Waves to everyone else - off to bed now (dd had me up at 3am - 'mummy I can't sleep can you sing me a lulaby !)

Angel2008 · 15/04/2008 08:18

Hi guys

... well you are funny with the testing! I did indeed rush home and did a Boots test ... sadly, it was a BFN. I wonder whether the ClearBlue one was just the line getting wet if you know what I mean!! TMI. But it was SO faint. I will test again tomorrow morning (or tonight if I can't wait!). Although I have been feeling really bloated these last few days and had a few stomach cramps, so I guess it is more likely that AF is on her way. I actually want to be pregnant more than going to Oz now, since it is just a hassle trying to plan a baby around it and it delays everything. Plus it uses up 3 weeks of my holiday and the flight is going to be painful. Although I know I shouldn't complain.

Really must get to grips with what is going on with everyone else, sorry being so selfish just coming back and posting about me me me!
