Morning all

MJIM - that is just so so so sweet - your Ds sounds like an absolute delight

HC - how is DD1? Is she better now?

Willmouse - don't feel like you are a bad parent - I know DS is upset but he will get over it and think of it as a life lesson for him - that you have to consider other people's feelings aswell.

Soosy - great to hear from you. Will have everything crossed for you and sending lots of babydust* your way. Make sure you keep us informed

Hi to everyone else

Morning all.

Hope HC is feeling better - I think we are due a decorating update. Did that lounge ever get done?!!

MJIM - how sweet of your little one. DS1 was in complete denial the whole time I was pregnant and wouldn't even acknowledge the fact that there was a baby there! He is a really loving brother though and is always kissing and cuddling him now (poor child is surrounded by people 'pecking away at him').

AF is still here - why does she stay so long? I think I will tell her she can only come for a long weekend next time LOL!

FIL back from holiday on Sunday so have 'houseguests' again. As I dropped them off at Station I said I would have the kettle on ready for when they get back and his partner said (seriously) will it be possible to get a bacon sandwich? NO IT BLOODY WELL WILL NOT!!! They're not getting back 'til gone midnight. DH has made tactical decision. I am to go to bed, he is going to make the sofa bed up in the lounge 'so as not to disturb me' - that way they will go straight to bed!

HumphreysCorner · 11/04/2008 19:58

Evening all

Am slightly better, just have a gripe and nauseous feeling.

(ceebee-have copied and pasted the next bit from the PN thread)

Took DD1 to the Dance Festival so she could do her Ba Ba Blacksheep routine-I was so nervous for her. Anyway, she forgot everything and made a hash up of it and I was so disappointed. Felt mean being cross with her but I was. On the other hand, the class was under 6's and the ones that won must have been just under 6 and DD1 is not 5 until July. Felt quite uncomfortable with the whole thing TBH. Lots of girls with mothers doing their hair and plastering them in makeup.

DD1 is alot better but still pooed her pants slightly in her rush to get to the toilet on time. They have all eaten oven chips and peas tonight but I had 2 crumpets as I couldn't face chips. Can't believe I haven't had any wine for 9 days-has to be bad for me to not want wine.

willmouse-you are good having houseguests. I am thankful that my relatives all live within driving distance so have no need to stay over. Best of luck and don't let them boss you about. It is your house!

MJIM-how lovely of your DS. DD1 never really bothered about my bump-she was only interested in a baby she could see.

Can't believe how quick the time is flying for you PG ladies (well, it is to me )

Right, am rambling now so will go and watch some TV. Love to all.

P.S. ceebee-when is Lost on again? Need my Sayid fix.

Oh HC - sorry that the dancing wasn't as planned. - I can hardly beleive the dance mothers . I guess my eyes will be opened soon enough - dd has just started ballet.

Willmouse - sorry about your kitten and for your ds although I am sure he will find something else to cuddle/play with. You are good with all these house guests - I plan ours very few and far between so I can recover!

mjim - your ds is lovely. Hope he is as pleased when the baby arrives!. When I was pregnant I used to sleep every afternoon for about 2 hours (straight after lunch) as I was so tired - If I remember correctly it was from about 16 weeks right until the end!! and I didn't have a lo to look after - so in my experience it is normal! If you are worried about lack of iron though (which usually causes tiredness) go and see your mw or gp.

Waves to everyone else as off to sit down with a glass of wine!!

Morning all

Here are a few photos of DD1 on a website where you can buy photos. You can page forward and back to see more. Spot her looking to her left at the dance teacher all the time. Perhaps a good job as the photographer was stood to the right of the stage.

No time to read or chat today really in fact I'm not sure what I'm doing here at all!

Had to write something if not just to say that is the cutest sheperdess I have ever seen!

HumphreysCorner · 12/04/2008 13:56

Bless you willmouse-hope to see you later.

ceebee74 · 12/04/2008 16:04

HC - have to agree with Willmouse - so so so cute! You must be a little bit proud of her being able to get up on stage at all - ignore the other mothers, they need to get a life! Have just checked on the Skyone website and it doesn't say anything about when it is coming back - soon I hope!

MJIM - maybe mention it to your midwife about you being tired but it sounds like you just aren't getting enough sleep at night. Do you have to wait up for your DH to get home? It is a shame your DS doesn't have a nap anymore aswell as I always have a nap when DS has his these days

Right, baby names - what do you ladies think of the name Cassie? I was set on Georgia for a girl but last night, I suddenly decided that I really like Cassie and it is a bit more unusual. Opinions please......... (am totally stuck for boys names - I cannot think of one that really grabs me - grrrrr!)

carolyn1941 · 12/04/2008 16:39

hello ladies

HC - she's just gorgeous! Fab pictures aswell. You must be a veyr proud mummy I think!

MJIM - you sound over tired. Could you get some family to take ds out or overnight so you could get some sleep?

ceebee - I'm loving both Cassie and Georgia, unusual without being odd. And you can't really shorten them so they would actually get called by their proper name!

Things have gone a bit weird here! Carried on doing opk (not sure why) and have got a +ve but today is CD21!!! This would mean I have a REALLY short luteal phase. So I looked this up and this is not good. Means you cannot sustain a pg if you did get pg. I have ordered some "Agnus Castus" capsules which helps regulate hormones so correcting the problem. Any experience of this anyone? I'm quite positive about it actually as it would explain a lot! Like why I never get +ve opks and no BFP (was doing everything at the wrong times!)

ceebee74 · 12/04/2008 16:44

Carolyn - not an expert on fertility things at all but the cycle I got pg, I ovulated on or around CD21 so it can't all be bad news can it?

OP posts:
HumphreysCorner · 12/04/2008 16:56

Aw, you are nice girls.

carolyn-FF has told me I have a short luteal phase which considering I have 2 DD's and conceived the one I MC I find this strange. I would see when you OV next month if you are not PG first to get a clearer picture.

ceebee-cassie is quite nice.

MJIM-I remember the extreme tiredness very well. So hard when you have a toddler that doesn't stop. On one occasion I was on holiday for a week and just zonked one Mon afternoon. When I woke up DD1 had cut up my sampler cross stitch pattern which me and DH had to piece back together like a jigsaw. I nearly killed her at that point. The rest of the time she would shout Mummy really loudly to wake me up every time I nodded. This is one of my concerns about getting PG again having 2 little darlings who could get up to worse mischief. My other 2 concerns are a) morning, afternoon and evening sickness and b) telling my parents.

Can't believe DH who only works Sat am has still not come home as he is helping his dad. So I am left on my own with the girls again!

HumphreysCorner · 12/04/2008 16:58

That wasn't very clear-I mean that if I do have a short luteal phase it hasn't affected me.

any comments welcome
do you ladies think that i ovulated cd17

HumphreysCorner · 12/04/2008 17:50

Hello and welcome tinkerbell We will tell you what day you OV'd if you tell us how you linked straight to your chart as everytime I put mine on it linked straight to the chart of whoever was looking at it. No, seriously, it does look like you OV'd on day 17. Can't remember what the dotted lines mean can you? Some of us are using OV sticks bought from Ebay to help us plot our FF charts.

majormoo · 12/04/2008 20:28

evening everyone hope you are having a good weekend.

Welcome Tinkerbell. Er I do not know anything about charting so no help there I am afraid.

Carolyn, again I am not sure about short luteal phases, but as Ceebee says cd21 does not sound all that late in the cycle to me, unless you have very very short cycles? Hope this is you month anyway.

HC your daugher is very brave. My DD is the same age and cannot imagine her getting up on stage all on her own like that.

Ceebee I really like the name Cassie. (The only reservation I would have would be isn't Cassandra the woman doomed to always know the future but no one believes her??)

MJIM hope your tiredness improves soon

Willmouse the being in bed when the in-laws return definitely sounds like a good tactic.

Bellie hope all is well with you.

I have felt shattered today. Had a friend round late afternoon and could barely speak! Spent the day sorting all the toys out (no mean feat) while DH took the kids out and it took hours.

At the moment I am in a bunk bed dilemma. Want to order some as the children share a room. M&S have some on sale at the moment but they are £300. You can get cheaper ones for about £100 elsewhere but then you have to buy 2 matresses separately. Oh decisions. When did my life get so wild and exhilarating!

soosy · 12/04/2008 21:18

LOL majormoo about Cassandra!! Remember really dodgy 70's movie called the Cassandra Crossing, it did end ok but a lot of people didn't make it. Like the name Cassie though!
The Bunk Bed dilemma, how much are the mattresses? You may end up paying more than the M&S ones.

MJIM I remember being really tired until about 16 or 17 weeks and then suddenly feeling much better, so I hope with a little more sleep at night you'll be feeling better soon

Carolyn Agnus Castus, I have taken it, it apparently helps balance your hormones and it certainly lengthened my cycle and I don't have a short luteal phase. You can get it as a tincture, it tastes vile, but works quicker. The debate about short luteal phases is a big one, as some doctors believe it is not an issue at all, but others feel that it could be a reason for infertility. As HC said she had no problems conceiving.

Gorgeous girl HC! Have you given up with the OPKs?

Hello tinkerbell, have you any children or are you trying for your first?

AF arrived yesterday so have made appointment for first scan on Friday, so here we go again. Thank you for all the baby dust, which has been carefully gathered!

We are exchanging contracts on our house next week and still trying to find somewhere to live. Have found gorgeous house, behind a huge hedge and black gates, only problem, Chinese takeaway two doors up! Have sent DH on a mission tonight to see if he can smell anything and if there is loads of noise. He said that he can't smell anything and there is not much noise, so should we go for it ? I have no idea.

Morning everyone,

Hope you are all well. Welcome to tinkerbell, I am sure you will find this thread useful (and lots of fun!), as some of the ladies on here really know their stuff!! I feel like I've learned a lot since I first found this thread!

Ceebee, I love the name Cassie, and at one point it was one I thought of for a girl as well. At the moment, I'm thinking of Cara, but not 100% sure yet - what do people think?

Majormoo - I know what you mean about being tired, and I haven't even got any DC to look after, just myself!! It's really kicked in this week, when I get home from work I can barely talk, and I have spent most of this weekend so far in bed!

MJIM - can't believe you are 15 weeks already! It doesn't seem very long at all since you told us your good news! I am 9 weeks today according to date of my LMP, but I think that will change when I get my dating scan. Not long now until I can start telling people! Can't wait!!

Carolyn - when did you come off the pill? How long have your cycles been since then? And what about before you went on the pill? Were your cycles regular then? Maybe this is just a very long cycle for you, hence the late ovulation. Anyway, make the most of getting that +ve, get another BD in today if you can! Then I guess it's time to sit and wait for a while......keeping everything crossed for you, here's some babydust *

Soosy, the house sounds lovely, and if ther wasn't much noise on a Saturday night, then you would imagine that the rest of the week would be fine. If you really like the house, you should probably go for it. Hopefully you will get pg this time (good luck with the embryo transfer by the way) and if you get cravings for Chinese food, it will be very close!!

HC - your little girl is so cute! How many days left for you now till ttc? Can't be many!!

juanitad · 13/04/2008 08:47

oops, meant to send babydust to soosy too, and to everyone else
