Sounds great H2MJ. I have a list of the things I take somewhere if you're interested.

Myjob - DS1 weighed a ton and I really struggled when pregnant (and afterwards as I had a c-section - I had to get him to climb on a chair and then over into his cot as I couldn't physically lift him). DS2 is so light in comparison. I managed to make most of the lunch today whilst carrying him around on my hip like a baby (he is 2).

Willmouse - yes whinfell is the one in the Lakes - we are staying in a 2 storey cumbrian lodge (my mum and dad are coming too - free babysitting heh heh!)I think these are the ones that have been redecorated - hope so!

Heartmum2jamie- hope you have a fab time.

Myjobismum - have you been to butlins before? Would love to know what its like there.

MrsPuddleduck · 09/04/2008 14:47

We have stayed in a two storey lodge at Sherwood (they are our favourites).

You can put the kids up to bed and be downstairs without disturbing them.

The only problem is the kiddiguard babygates which DH finds impossible to open and close!

HumphreysCorner · 09/04/2008 17:01

Get you lot all chatty.

Well, managed to get mine and DD1's hair cut without DD1 doing too much damage. Popped into town then our local garden centre for lunch. Then I felt really tired and dizzy and DD1 decided to have one of her 'dos' so got a slap infront of everyone looking out of the restaurant window. Don't care, I am not going to be screamed at talked to like that. Then struggled round Tescos-am done for! Feel as grotty as I did in the first few months of being PG so at least when I am I will be used to it!

V. of the Centreparc talk. Lots of people I know have raved about it.

Must go and get their tea ready.

Hello everyone

Firstly HC and MJIM sorry you have had a tough day! I guess that they are all sent to try us at times! HC - agree with MJIM could you be pg? You do sounds pretty sick?!?!?!?

Hello to H2MJ, willmouse, bellie , juanitad, ceebee, soosy and angel (if you're there!)

Welcome to pinkmook (what an unusual name???).I think I might have read some of your other thread already actually!

In desperation last night I read lots of ttc threads to get an idea if others have never had +ve opks and lots have! Many have gone on to concieve fine - could it be that some women's hormones are too low all the time register even the surge? It would make sense. Don't really want to go to doctors as I fear they will just tell me to come back after a year(!)

On the BDing front it is not going very well. Had a row with DP last night over god knows what. He then says "well we'll have a night off tonight then!" It's bloody OV day!!! I actually could have throttled him but I guess that's not going to get me pg is it! I will try and keep the peace tonight.

PS very as I love centerparcs

carolyn1941 · 09/04/2008 17:25

MJIM - forgot to say I love the girls names! Especially Matilda and Caitlin (my all time fave!) but really like the others also. I do think that matilda will probably be Tilly though and which Butlins are you going to? Butlins is MINT!

pinkmook · 09/04/2008 17:29

Willmouse - hmmmm good potential for trapping my DH upstairs if he becomes annoying then ...heh heh heh!

Myjobismum - yes centreparcs is very expensive, luckily my mum and dad are paying as I dont think we could have afforded it TBH! I might look into butlins or similar for future reference.

Must go now, I've got a man coming round to set up my wireless router for me then I can MN all over the house - oh the joy!

HumphreysCorner · 09/04/2008 17:57

Nah, can't be PG as I can't remember the last time we did the deed and my heavyish AF has just finished.

MJIM-like Caitlin BTW. Know a Jessica and a Tegan.

hello everyone
welcome Pinkmook and enjoy Centreparks.
Have not managed to read everything but will try to catch up later. Had no PC yesterday as DS spilt a glass of water on the computer and it briefly died. I went mad at DH for not backing up the photos (felt like the BT advert), but he out a hair dryer on the hard drive and all OK now!

HM2J Nosebleed sounds horrible-hope all OK now
HC hope you are feeling better.
Carolyn-I think it is quite common not necessarily to ovulate bang in the middle of your cycle. Look at Ceebee for example! A friend of mine used those OV kits and never once got a positive but still got pregnant. Hope you manage to resolve the row with DH and get down to business.

MJIM am afraid I agree with Willmouse in that I think Matilda is a lovely name and really like Tilly. I also like Jessica and Oliva. The only thing is Olvia is REALLY popular. One of the most popular names round here, although I think Ruby is probably the winner.

You asked how far along I would be. I suppose I would be about 5+3 if I took the date of the miscarriage as LMP, but there was a distinct lack of action in the first couple of weeks of the month so I think it must be less than that. I got the BFP on 30th March, with the miscarriage on 1st/2nd March.

Bellie fingers crossed for the 2ww.

Juanitad how can teachers possibly find it boring talking about our little angels! I have to say DDs teacher looked liked she was about to fall asleep at hers, and we were quite early on.

Hurrah-the Apprentice night!
There was a distinct lack of action in the first couple of weeks of the month

majormoo · 09/04/2008 18:12

er sorry about the extra sentence on the end-not sure what happened there??

Bellie · 09/04/2008 19:45

Hi all - we had fun on the train!! If only excitement could stay at this level of cost (£2.50 return for me!!)

You have been chatty today

Love Matilda really not keen on Olivia, but probably as every Olivia I have ever met has been really really horrible!
Don't carry ds - may be a little cruel now but will get him used to it in the end! It maust be hard for them adjusting to another one coming though mustn't it?

HC - if you are not pregnant is it the tail end of the lurgy that you have had?

Carolyn - if you don't mind me asking how long have you been trying (I am sure that you have said at the start of the thread, but can't remember sorry!) - I think gps mostly are helpful after about 8 months or so.

Sorry - in the middle of cooking dinner - hope everyone else is Ok -

HumphreysCorner · 09/04/2008 20:24

Bellie-am deffo not PG (did a test earlier to put my mind at rest). Tis just a horrid bug-yuk!

evening ladies

bellie - glad you had a nice time on the train. sounds like good value fun!

Majormo - very confusing about dates I agree. MW will be able to give more accurate date at first scan will she? glad computer is working again, kids hey! Don't know how would cope without mine!

HC - sorry it isn't a pg then. Hope the bug subsides soon. You want to be ready for next month!

HM2J - hope you lo is over his nosebleed and you all get a restful nights sleep

DP and I have made friends (awww)so hopefully it's all back on! It's really really stressful ttc isn't it? I honestly didn't think I would find it stressful but I really am, and our sex life (which used to be fantastic) is really suffering. I can't wait to get a BFP and we can start enjoying it again (hopefully)

Majormoo - thanks for what you said about your friend with all the -ve opks and then falling pg. I'm hoping it's nothing serious.

Bellie- This is our third cycle. We have been ttc since January. No need to worry yet I guess???

Have a lovely evening everyone, i'm off for a bath

PS. If you want a giggle read this thread. I was creased up laughing! here

ceebee74 · 10/04/2008 08:54

Morning all

This is just a quickie as I am aware I am failing miserably in my attempt to keep up with this thread (damn work keeps getting in the way of my MN time )

HC - hope you start to improve again soon.

MJIM - love the names you mentioned apart from Matilda - not keen on that one I am afraid.

Majormoo - how dare Siralan get rid of one of the 'eye-candy'???? (Crap as he was, he was certainly lovely to look at )

Hi to everyone else - will try and do a more comprehensive catchup later.

Morning all

carolyn-I spotted that thread yesterday.

Well, was just relishing the thought of a full night's sleep after watching the Apprentice (Sir Al picked the right twat this time) when at 11-15pm there was a shout. 'Daddy I've been sick'. Cue bathing, sheet and duvet washing and fave elephant. Had to wait 1.5 hours then get up and put them in the drier just incase there was more sick but thankfully not. Luckily we had the other half of our winter/summer duvet to pop on her bed. She hasn't eaten today and is as white as a sheet. Hoping she will be OK to do her Ba Ba Black Sheep routine at the Dance Festival tomorrow. Also hoping DD2 doesn't get it.

Feel a tad better today so hope I don't get it again. All these plans I made for these 2 weeks hols, well, we haven't been able to do them. Fingers crossed for next week.

Have a good day ladies. Will pop by later when I have ironed my mountain of clothes and sheets.

MrsPuddleduck · 10/04/2008 09:20

Morning all.

Sorry to hear about your DD HC. Hope she feels better soon!

I thought Aprentice wasn't quite as good as usual this week. The girls did too well and didn't fall out enough. Does anyone else think that the blonde guy who was the chef looks like Matt Lucas with hair?

Have had a really stressful time here. Told DS that we couldn't have a kitten and he has gone into denial (it really is a male trait!). He didn't cry when I told him (just argued with me that I was wrong and that we WERE getting one) but has been really emotional. He told me twice last night that he felt sad . I can now officially get this years' award for Bad Mummy 2008.

I'd like to say "on a brighter note..." but there isn't one so I'm off to dwell in my own self pity.

soosy · 10/04/2008 09:53

Just a short note to let you know I am alive and waiting for Af to arrive before frozen Embryo transfer later this month, or next if af doesn't come soon! I haven't kept up with this thread have been busy house hunting and I think we may have found one, but DH has to see it on Saturday, I really like but think it will be popular, so am worried it will go before DH makes his mind up! Is anyone else PG since Easter? I hope you are all well and everything is right with the world!

majormoo · 10/04/2008 19:06

Hi soosy it is good to hear from you.Hope all goes well with the house and of course with the embryo transfer

Oh willmouse sorry to hear you are feeling bad (guilt is just part of being a parent!) but kids do bounce back quickly.

HC hope no one else in your family has come down with the bug.

Ceebee I am not so keen on the guy who got fired from the Apprentice-I think seeing him with the hair straighteners and refusing to say 'Loser' took away any appeal he may have had. I agree it is better when there is more tension. It was so obvious they would lose as they were rubbish. George Doors/Vicki Pollard has to be the most terrible chef ever!

Carolyn that thread was hysterical.

We foolishly went to the local park late on this afternoon. It was full of feral kids.I hate it when parents seem to abdicate all responsibility for their children when they are out.

I did another pregnancy test this morning which was still a BFP. HCG must be stronger now as it went positive straight away-before the control window even had anything in it. 6 tests in now I must stop myself buying anymore. It is ridiculous.

HumphreysCorner · 10/04/2008 19:30

Hi soosy, lovely to hear from you. Everything crossed for your FET.

willmouse-things will get better. Your DS will be so disappointed but he will soon forget. Also, you are not a bad mummy. Circumstances that are simply out of your control.

majormoo-you must go and get a MW appointment to get a scan to find out how far along you are. [excited] Lol at George Doors-so true. My mum and dad took the girls to their local park when I was poorly at the weekend and they spent over half an hour putting this little girl on the swing/slide/seesaw while her mother talked on her mobile the whole time. My mum and dad took the girls away in the end as it made them cross. There is one particular fun factory near us where you end up taking everyone elses children round while their parents sit and natter. Makes me mad.

Right, Eastenders then Holby Blue and then bed as shattered.

Love to all
