I'm a lurker. I only post when irritated - except today. It does seem lovely on here but am too old so I go on the over 40s one. I hope you are well and still teaching kids to tie shoe laces - that thread was soooo funny!

hey ladies

BB - really sorry AF arrived, the witch. Glad you were able to have a glass of wine to comiserate. Hoping next month is yours!

HC - can't believe you missed the show! Bloody stomach bugs grrr

Welcome also to undervalued. You are of course free to join us. How long have you been ttc?

Hope everyone else is ok, it has been quiet in my short absence!

I had a lovely time at SIL. MIL and StepFIL were very pleased and surprised that we turned up and we all had a lovely meal. I got through far too much red wine so hoping I haven't ov'd early! Managed to BD before we went and when we got home today so nothing lost I reckon! OV sticks still showing negative but on CD15 so think it will be Tuesday. Hoping it is my time this time

urgh - back to work tomorrow! And I have to give a presentation to some staff (I hate this, give me 30 kids any day!)so going to get an early night

C xx

Heartmum2Jamie · 06/04/2008 19:29

BB, I am sorry to hear AF showed

HC, I'm sorry you aren't well and missed the show, I hope you are feeling better today.

Mjim, I hope you are feeling better too.

Undervalued, welcome!

Carolyn, as you asked so nicely, here's your sprinkling of babydust
baby dust

I hope that everyone else is well and had a good weekend.

ceebee74 · 06/04/2008 20:24

BB ? so very sorry about your AF arriving. I guess nothing we can say will make it easier but maybe next month will be the month for you.

HC ? how are you feeling? Sorry you had to miss the Dancing on Ice ? I would have been gutted!

Carolyn ? glad you had a good day and the BD is coming along nicely. Here is some babydust from me for you all

Juanitad seems to have disappeared again ? are you ok?

Well, the MS has well and truly got me now. I wake up feeling nauseous and go to bed feeling nauseous with no change in the middle! Have not been sick yet and not really felt that I am going to ? it is just the constant feeling all day! And I have at least another 5 weeks of this to go! (Sorry to go on as I realise most of you on this thread would give anything to have MS )

Well an early night for me tonight.

Take care

x

Oh poor you ceebee - sounds horrible. I was really lucky with dd and had no ms at all, so would hate (but love!!) to feel like that.

CD13 today and according to my monitor ov'd yesterday, so have had a busy weekend . Am still going for the everyother night though for a while longer to maximise this month!

Hope everyone enjoyed the snow - we still have a rather large snowman sitting a little bit forlornly on our lawn, who dd waves to and said goodnight to last night.

HumphreysCorner · 07/04/2008 11:18

belgianbun-grrrhhh at AF turning up. Next month eh?

ceebee-this weekend was like having MS and it reminded me how awful it is and it lasts longer than 2 days (5 months usually for me) Sending you some virtual rich tea fingers.

Apparently the Dancing on Ice was very good which is even more upsetting. The girls stayed at mum and dad's on Saturday night and with DH out until after midnight it was horrible being alone in the house. Yesterday DH had a further poorly turn and laid on the bed all day so still didn't get looked after.

School hols and DD1 driving me mad-can I cope with this for the next 2 weeks?

Hi to everyone else

HC

Myjob, I am so glad you are feeling better!

I am going to whisper how I am feeling because I hate rubbing it in to others . I also recieved my scan date, 2 weeks this Thursday, 24th April. I am really excited and can't wait! Was also excited to realise I am 10 weeks today

juanitad · 07/04/2008 18:05

hi all,

sorry to have gone awol for a few days, it's been a busy weekend! Spent Fri/Sat at my parents, then Dancing on Ice on Sat night (not Sunday, as I had originally thought), then spent the day with the in-laws on Sunday, who we hadn't seen since we found out about being pg, so they were v excited.

HC, I was so sory to hear you couldn't make it to the show, but if it's any consolation, as it's been so popular in Sheffield, they've put an extra date on, on 17th May, so maybe you could go along then. It's well worth it if you get the chance.

BB, what a pain that AF arrived. Tons of babydust from me to you for next month,

Carolyn - hope the presentation went well, I know exactly what you mean about presenting to staff, I hate it as well and much much prefer being in front of 30 kids!! What was your presentation about? Here's some babydust for you too*

Ceebee, sorry MS has got you. I get the odd wave of nausea, usually when I'm feeling hungry, so I have to make sure I always have a snack to hand!!

Hope everyone else is well

majormoo · 07/04/2008 18:57

Hi everyone. Thanks for all the birthday messages. I had a lovely few days.

BB how upsetting. Hope you are feeling OK.

Undervalued-welcome of course you are not too old to come on here!
Carolyn hope your presentation went well.

Ceebee/MJIM hope the tiredness passes soon

HC what a shame you missed the show. Hope you feel better now. I know where you are coming from on the school holidays thing. DD was a nightmare this morning. Although once we went out she was really behaved and has been lovely company for the rest of the day.

HM2J glad you are feeling OK. How are you feeling Juanitad?

Bellie good luck this month.

Kids enjoyed the snow, but we were away at my parents for the weekend, so DH was not very happy to drive back into Brighton last night and be confronted by snowmen all over the place. He would have loved to take DD up to the downs in the snow, but it is so rare that it happens here. I went out with my mum friends in the evening and have not told him that they had all taken their kids sledging in the day-that would push his disappointment over the edge. Nobody said anything about my driving on my birthday drinks which I was relieved about.

carolyn1941 · 07/04/2008 19:59

Hi all!

Glad you are feeling better MJIM - cheers for the sprinkling!

Hoping HC is over the bug LOL at DD driving you mad though!)

hm2j - 10 weeks! That's great...not so sure about the 'pelvic girdle pain'. It sounds like something I might feel faint about tbh! Not a pain in the a**e? Hope it gets better.

Juanitad - sounds like you have had a lovely weekend. Glad your relatives were happy and excited about your pg. It must be great to tell people!

Majormoo- sounds like a fab birthday! Are you going to doctors then this week? You must be sure you're pg now I assume?!?!?!

ceebee- very about the ms. Is this odd? I'm sure it's awful but as you say I'd give anything to have it at the moment - this doesn't mean I'm not sympathetic of course!

Bellie - if you're ov'ing then stop typing on here and get back to bed! LOL

BB - hope you are feeling a bit more positive. Realise that we can't say much to cheer you up sorry

Wondering where Soosy has got to?

As for me, the presentation went terribly! I was really nervous and got all flustered like I knew I would! Oh well...hoping it might be hormones messing with my mind? Today is CD16 so must dash .
I get back to my comfort zone tomorrow with a classroom full of kids...yey!Got my cheque refund off the council today so am now off the breadline! LOL - hope you have all checked your own bank accounts to make sure it hasn't happened to you!

ceebee74 · 07/04/2008 20:17

HC ? Hope you are completely fit and well again and DD1 isn?t misbehaving too much

HM2J ? glad you are feeling fantastic, I so can?t wait to get to that stage! 10 weeks ? gosh ? how come time seems to fly for you other pg ladies whereas mine is dragging on and on and on??

Juanitad ? sounds like you had a lovely weekend. Am v about Dancing on Ice ? would have loved to have seen that. You lucky thing not to be suffering with MS ? although I guess that is a good thing in your job as the way I feel at the moment, I don?t think I could stand up in front of a classroom and teach. At least in my job, I can sit in my office and stare at the computer/out of the window for a while if it gets too bad ? it is just in meetings where it is getting harder to disguise it.

Carolyn ? glad the presentation is over and done with. You need to get BD ? are you still managing twice a day ?

Rough day today ? when I eventually managed to get me and DS dressed, we went to the soft play area that we usually go to and it was full with over an hours wait ? grrrr. Bloody school holidays!! Drove to another one that is nearby and there was nowhere to park there so ended up in Sainsbury?s to do some shopping ? I was really looking forward to letting DS let off some steam without me needing to be involved! As it was, we just ended up slobbing around all day at home watching far too much telly which is not good for DS but I just couldn?t manage anything else.

Anyway, must go and tidy up ? thank god DH is home tomorrow night and has no plans (touch wood) to be away again for a couple of weeks ? it is so much easier with him around and hopefully that will see me over the worst of the ms.

Sickness and liquid diarrhoea returned in the night. Think I am coming out in sympathy with you ceebee. MIL has the girls today so luckily I can lay on the settee with my hot water bottle and sip boiled water.

Hope all OKish. Will pop back later.

Morning all.

HC - hope you are feeling better soon. There is nothing worse than D and V.

AF got me on Saturday (which was about 4 days early according to my calculations ]). But it does mean that last two cycles have been exactly 32 days. I am still only spotting but feel as if it is going to get worse any minute.

Weekend was sort of OK. Have come to conclusion that FIL's new partner is probably a sexual deviant (long story) - which is OK but I really don't want to hear about it!

Have had a complete kitten crisis. I have been putting off telling my Mum (she hates cats and my Dad is allergic). They have basically said that if we get a kitten they wont be able to come over as much and look after the boys and wont be able to stay over anymore at Christmas and New Year. I am really about the whole thing now as we really rely on my parents for support as MIL is dead and FIL lives miles away. Feels like emotional blackmail .

I haven't spoken to her about it yet (DH was there when Dad told her) as I know I am going to get a right royal bollocking (not unlike a small child) and tbh I can't face it. I will have to speak to her about it though, I love my Mum and we are are really close.

Right, off to do some work to take my mind of the depressing state of my life!

majormoo · 08/04/2008 10:21

oh willmouse. sorry to hear AF has arrived. At least your cycles are regular which must be a good thing for planning next month's activities.
What a pain about the kitten. Hope the chat with your mum goes OK. I have to say I think I would get the same reaction with my parents. However they rarely come to visit us-we always go there (getting my family out of Essex to Brighton is a major event-they seem to think it is the other side of the world rather than the Dartford tunnel.) Could you play the angle that the DSs would love it so much it would be such a shame to deprive them?

HC hope you feel better soon.

Carolyn I used to hate it when presentations went badly. Someone fell asleep in one of mine once! Hope today is better back to the mayhem.

I don't feel pregnant at all but have refrained from doing anymore tests. Am going to leave off going to the doctor's til DD is back at school in a couple of weeks and see what happens up til then.

BB I hope you are feeling all right and have dusted yourself down for the new month

Enjoy your walk MJIM-lovely sunny day here too

Bellie · 08/04/2008 12:31

Hi everyone - sorry so many of you are feeling ill/struggling with ms.

Majormoo - i was thinking about you this morning whether you had gone to the doctors or not.

Willmouse - sorry to hear about your kitten issues. Parents eh! Hope you get it resolved soon. Sorry to hear about AF too. .

now probably officially into the 2ww - cd14 and ov'd 12. But going to still for the everyother night approach much to dh's pleasure!! .

carolyn1941 · 08/04/2008 17:00

Hi ladies. i had a MUCH better day today with the kids back. (still sulking over my humiliating failure yesterday!). Glad some of you are feeling better, but sorry AF got Willmouse . So Bellie is on the 2ww...fingers crossed!

Maybe some of you can answer a question for me. Is it possible that I have not ovulated even though I have had 3 months of exactly 31 day cycles? The ov strips constantly show nothing and don't seem to have EWCM at round abouts CD17. Can you have AF's if you don't ov? Feeling a little worried tbh...can't believe I have missed it with the ov strips as have been doing 3 a day to make sure! (and I did them from CD10 onwards). Hmmmm.....
