Evening everyone ? hope you have all had a lovely Easter. Has snowed rather a lot here but not quite enough to play in .

Belgian ? hope the ?every other night? is going well and does the trick

HM2J ? fingers crossed for you to get past this week. I can?t imagine how you must be feeling but {{{hugs}}}. Great timing that DH is off work aswell ? hope you somehow manage to enjoy this week a little.

Bellie ? fingers crossed for you ? MJIM?s advice is good (although impossible to stick to ) about not testing too early.

MJIM ? 13 (!) Easter eggs???? Your DS is obviously a very very popular little boy. Good luck tomorrow ? will be thinking about you at 11am Make sure you come on here asap and let us know how it went.

Well, I have still got no symptoms ? maybe a little bit more tired than normal but not really noticeable. If I hadn?t seen the 3 BFP?s, there is no way I would know ? in fact you do start to doubt it don?t you? I can?t remember exactly when the sickness kicked in with DS but I know I was definitely in the thick of it by 6 weeks ? am now nearly 5 weeks pg so I am sure it will start soon. Juanitad ? have you got any symptoms?

Anyway, am going to finish all the chocolate now so the new healthy eating regime can start tomorrow

x

Ceebee, I know exactly what you mean about starting to question things - I've had no symptoms really, although I would say that my boobs are a bit more tender than usual. I've not had any MS, or any cravings yet and I haven't noticed feeling more tired than normal (although in general I am very tired on an evening after work anyway, I have always been like that). I did 2 pg tests, and part of me is thinking I'd like to do another one just to make sure!!! The more sensible part of me however says that there is nothing to worry about, not everyone has the same symptoms. On the due Nov 2008 thread, there are loads of people saying they have had no symptoms at all yet, so we shouldn't fret! I am starting to go off chocolate, but I don't think that is a pg symptom, more to do with the fact that I've eaten far too much choc in the last 2 days!!

mjim, hope the scan goes well tomorrow - will they give you a picture? That must make it feel so much more real!! Can't wait to hear all about it!

Hope everyone else is well and have enjoyed a nice Easter weekend. Bellie, looking forward to hearing your news later this week, keeping fingers crossed for you!!

Morning ladies!

Thanks for all being nice in my absence! Got back from Prague at 1am and DP had to get up at 5am for work poor thing! Weather was unbelievably cold - never got above about 2 degrees all weekend! Anyway, we had a FABULOUS time and it was a little easier to get over the BFN (AF arrived on sunday). Anyway, today is CD3 and both cycles since coming off pill have been 31 days which is great for planning purposes!DP reckons he wants to BD twice a day from CD10 to CD21 OMG!!!!! Think I might die of exhaustion! He was pretty gutted about not getting me pg but even so!

Angel - sorry your AF arrived too (must remember that 1 in 4 chance each month for everyone)I'm sure you're not 'over the hill' just yet! ha ha! and would never judge anyone for anything - it's your life and all that . Hopefully we will both get BFP this month and can have xmas babies together! Have you and your DP talked about this? We have and we're not bothered tbh.

hm2j and mjim - hope you're both well. Good luck this week

ceebee and Juanitad - glad you're keeping well and enjoy the symptom free weeks while they last. Totally understand about the drinking thing. My friends were questioning me at party last Saturday as was barely drinking.I think it's quite sad as I'm not a massive drinker anyway.

Angel2008 · 25/03/2008 09:39

Hi all

Thanks so much for your kind words - don't know where I'd be without this site!!

Carolyn, glad you had a lovely time in Prague and it is nice to have someone with the same cycle as me in the same situation . Xmas babies not even come up with us. What is the 1 in 4 chance (sorry if I am being dappy!)?

Found every other night quite hard last cycle (Carolyn you are not going to be able to walk!!) so might just do it when we feel like it this cycle, plus a lot around the ovulation. I am having big problems with Fertility Friend though, I cannot get rid of one of my periods, it won't let me delete it or change the date? Heulp!

juanitad · 25/03/2008 09:45

Morning all,

Carolyn, I'm so pleased you had a good time in Prague, it's a city I've never been to, but I've heard it's meant to be lovely. about you BDing twice a day for 11 days!! You'll be exhausted!!! Still, you've got to do what you can to get your baby!! Are you loving being on school holiday? I am in heaven, it's so nice being able to sleep in and not worry about lessons, marking, meetings and all the other crap!! Everybody seems to have different Easter hols, depending on where in the country they are. When did you break up and when do you go back? I broke up on Thursday 20th March, back to school Monday 7th April. I plan on making the most of this holiday - I'm going to Barcelona on Friday for 5 days and have lots of catching up with friends to do in the meantime!!

Hope everyone else is enjoying the sunshine today, it's beautiful here!

carolyn1941 · 25/03/2008 09:58

hi juanitad and angel!
I'm enjoying my holiday so far! I have the same dates as you juanitad so now have 13 days to chill out! Today it is glorious sunshine and I am doing housework as I am waiting for my new sofa to be delivered! They said between 12 and 2 so will prob come at 6pm!

Angel - the 1 in 4 means that apparently you have a 25% chance of conceiving each month if you do everything right ie. BD at the right time, no alcohol, good healthy diet etc! I was quite surprised to read this when first started ttc as thought it would be much higher. So, try not to be too hard on ourselves if not pg this month as 75% likely not to be IYSWIM??? This translates that over 90% of couples will concieve within about 9 months (I think!)but therotetically it should take about 4 months!...can you tell I did A level Statistics??? LOL\

Angel2008 · 25/03/2008 10:04

1 in in 4 - faint!

carolyn1941 · 25/03/2008 10:15

I know!

majormoo · 25/03/2008 12:12

morning all. hope you had good Easter's.
MJIM hope scan goes well.
Angel hope you are feeling better. As others have said do not worry about people judging you. As I have been through the same thing (different reasons I suspect but same result) I certainly wouldn't.

HM2J Hope the week races by.

Ceebee lack of symptoms is really common so do not worry about it.

BB the image of you in your head lice cap seducing DH made me laugh.

Hope everyone else is well. We had a good Easter though DS got conjunctivitus which is not pretty. We had snow on our way into and out of church on Easter Sunday which was great. DD loved it. Just enough for a snowball fight when we got home.

HumphreysCorner · 25/03/2008 12:19

Hi all

Well, FF has me OVing on day 15 but my sticks were all negative then so why, how?

Angel-you shouldn't need to alter or delete anything on FF but if you click on Cycles on the left hand side menu you can change things there.

MJIM-how did the scan go? Hope all OK.

Have been stuffing so much chocolate and today I am back on my diet so having withdrawal symptoms.

Will check back later for MJIM's news.

Waves to everyone else.

Angel2008 · 25/03/2008 13:17

Thanks HC! I put in the wrong start date for my period (doh).

Did you use FF or OV sticks for your two girls? Am I missing something or isn't it a bit late once you have ovulated?? I'm wondering if I should buy a kit for this month from Boots ..

ceebee74 · 25/03/2008 13:36

Carolyn ? that AF arrived but it is still early days yet. Sounds like you had a lovely time in Prague ? I bet it was just gorgeous!

Juanitad ? when is your due date? Are you about 2 weeks in front of me? I am 5 weeks tomorrow. Enjoy Barcelona ? you lucky thing!

Majormoo ? poor DS ? have never experienced conjunctivitis but I bet it was a nightmare although I am sure copious amounts of chocolate may have cheered him up a little?

Hi to everyone else

DS had his first haircut today (eventually) ? I was quite sad but I am glad it is now done. If you go to my profile you can see the photographic evidence ? he now looks like a little boy at last

Have arranged my ?booking? appointment with the midwife ? it is in 3 weeks time ? kinda makes it feel real.

Right off for a nap now ? I do keep getting tired but then I quite often went for a nap when DS did so that is nothing new and certainly not a pg symptom

ceebee-he looks gorgeous with his new style.

Angel-I didn't use FF or OV sticks for my girls. Am only using them this time to try and increase my chances of having a boy. Am on day 18 but FF has only registered OV day as day 15 when I input todays temp. My sticks have been negative so I am not convinced I have OV'd yet.

MJIM-where are you?

Have just had an annoying survey phone call and I put the phone down. He rang yesterday and I said it was Easter Monday and no I didn't have 3 mins to spare. Today I said I was TPS registered and he shouldn't be ringing-I know I was rude but they do make me cross sometimes especially when I am in the middle of typing a MN post.

Ceebee, if I go by the date of my LMP, then I was 6 weeks on Easter Sunday. However, as I don't think I had a 28 day cycle, no doubt whenever I get my scan I will turn out to be a few days less pregnant than that. When I go on the due date calculator things online, inputting the date of my LMP plus adjusting the cycle length to 31 days gives me an EDD of 19th Nov, so that's what I'm going by until someone tells me differently. Have you worked out an EDD yet? When is it?

By the way, I think your little boy looks gorgeous with his short hair!

MrsPuddleduck · 25/03/2008 14:18

Hi all

I have tried to read all of the postings but there are too many! Sorry if I miss anyone out!

Firstly huge congratulations to Ceebee!!!!!

Boo to all the AF's who showed up

HC - congratulations on the garden!

Bellie - hope you are feeling better.

MJIM - hope your scan goes well and that you don't spot anything you don't want to!

Hope you all had a good Easter. DS's each got 9 Easter eggs I now have a bin bag with 18 eggs in . So much for a minimalist Easter. DH and I did buy the smallest eggs though.

SIL managed to behave for a change (although her children did completely trash the house in the four hours they were here). They are supposed to be coming again in a fortnight when FIL and new partner come as they have not met her before. DH says they can meet us at our local Brewsters (very smart!).

Right, I'm off now to order my plates etc for the party which is on Saturday and although I booked ages ago am now going to have to spend a fortune on next day postage . That'll teach me to be more organised!

MJIM - very pleased for you that it all sounds good! Must be very exciting seing the baby on the screen - it will seem much more real I guess? You don't know the sex then?

Willmouse - well done for coping with the in laws! You must be a saint! hmmm

ceebee - your ds is sooooooo cute! I think he looks even cuter with his little boy haircut!

HC - I hate those callers! They always seem to ring at the worst possible time don't they!? Not sure what's going on with your ov stickcs - I think I had the same last month so I might just not bother with them this time, just BD over the most fertile days with a few each side. TBH I spent about £30 so far and all -ve! Not sure if it's worth it!

juanitad - I have never been to Barcelona and I would love to, you will have to tell us all about it when you return!

Who was going to Budapest???? Was it lovely?? (so sorry I can't remember!)

Oh and my sofa has been delivered! It's loverly and I will not move from it for the rest of the day!

MJIM-pleased your scan went well. You are good not wanting to know the sex but then I will never know what it is like to have a surprise.

carolyn-I am wondering if the OPKs are not able to pick up my OV surge and if I don't get a +ive by the time they run out I won't be bothering with any more and shall rely on FF and take pot luck! How lovely to have a new sofa-am very

MJIM - you are very patient. I am hopeless at surprises, it's the "Monica" in me You know control freak and all that!)

Just to show you all how beautiful Prague is, I enclose a picture of yours truly with the very famous Charles Bridge in the background. (and yes it was as cold as it looks!)

MJIM - pleased your scan went well too, how exciting!!

.. pmsl at Saint Willmouse ..!

majormoo · 25/03/2008 18:10

really pleased your scan went well MJIM.

Juanitad-I would love to go back to Barcelona. I went about 6 years ago but it was with work so hardly saw anything.

Willmouse glad things went OK with the in-laws.

HC god those callers drive me mad. We are getting bombarded with Jehovah Witnesses at the moment. On Good Friday (after my trapsing to three chemists in the cold looking for eyedrops for DS and being told I needed a prescription) they stopped me on my doorstep and I said 'thank you but we are catholic here.' Two minutes later they knocked on the door anyway. And came back again today.

Ceebee aaah at least the first haircut is over with now.

It is my birthday next Friday and had planned to pick DD up from school and go out for a family meal. However, she has been invited to a school friend's party now and unfortunately that is a far more interesting prospect than mum's birthday.
