MJIM - OMG! How awful for you! I got nervous just reading your post. Hope everything is OK from here. Fingers crossed here for you and a big hug

Angel - this is EXACTLY what happened to DP and I last month. I had told him the ov days and he just wasn't interested. We had a massive row with me saying he didn't really want baby etc. However, it obviously made him think as this month he was super keen to check the days and make sure we did plenty of BDing. I think blokes are just wired a bit differently to us women. They feel like a sperm machine, which I sort of get, but then WE have to do ALL the rest!!! ! Maybe last night has helped clear the air and made him think????

Juanita - where ae you????? BFP surely???? You are the only one left to test at this time!!!! Statistically and all that.....

Bellie · 13/03/2008 17:38

Hi all - wow there have been a lot of messages on here since my last post.

MJIM - really hope that everything is ok for you now - must have been so scary for you.

HC - thanks for the saucy link - must admit I was another one who was thinking it was your bra - but not a bra in sight!! . Not dh's cup of tea at all, but me on the other hand

Feeling a bit emotional today - got a phone call from the consultant - I have to re-do my scan that I had this week as she is very concerned at the thickness of the lining of my uterus and wants to see it at the beginning of my cycle (i.e when bleeding has just stopped). I am now really concerned that it is endometriosis which is not good at all is it? Also Dh has to re-do his semen tests as they want to check some of the percentages - this probably isn't good is it? worried.

Juanitad - where are you what is the news with you?

Ceebee - sorry about the BFN again - all the af's seem to be going awol or coming early at the moment .

Hi to everyone else - so much to catch up on.

soosy · 13/03/2008 18:00

MJIM I am so sorry you had a really nasty time, but glad you have seen a wriggly little person. Just to reassure you further once you get to about 10 weeks it is v v rare for something to happen as the placenta kicks in around now. I presume you had a dating scan and if everything normal then
you shouldn't be too worried.

Bellie, re endometriosis, don't panic too much, it obviously hasn't spread, if you have it at all, as they would have seen it on your ovaries and your tubes would have been blocked. In fact, I would be surprised if it didn't show up on you HSG. Sperm tests they do twice anyway as they need to have an average, and with sperm even one day can make a hell of a difference.

Don't get worried yet, it sounds as though they are being really through which is good, and shows you there are good reasons for not having another consultants appointment yet.

Hello to everyone else, CD 3 here and good acupuncture today.

juanitad · 13/03/2008 18:41

Hi all,

Mjim, that sounds scary...glad the bleeding has stopped, it can't feel good while it's still happening. Sounds like you did the right thing going to a&e to check everything out properly. I bet the 12 week scan will be much more enjoyable for you, without the worry you had at this scan.

No AF today still. I don't feel like I did yesterday, when my tummy felt a bit weird all day, but I did feel on edge all day yesterday, as I was expecting AF to arrive any minute, so the funny tummy could have been nervous tummy. If still no AF tomorrow, then I think I'll try to leave work earlyish, go and get a pg test on the way home and then get on and do it! But then I thought that maybe it would be better to wait till first thing Saturday morning, to get the stronger wee? Does it matter much either way?

Angel, I can completely sympathise over your BD'ing probs - we had much the same this month. TTC really does take the fun out of it, it seems much more like a chore, and like you're against the clock and can't afford to waste even a second!!

Bellie, sorry to hear you are feeling a bit down today. I'm glad soosy could give you some good advice, as I don't really know much about endometriosis. Thinking of you though.

Ceebee, how frustrating for you that no AF, but BFN. Any plans to test again, or are you going to wait it out?

Hi to everyone else....

HumphreysCorner · 13/03/2008 19:24

Well ladies, a safe link for you all here

juanitad-you must test tomorrow and you must report back immediately. Sounds good to me.

Bellie-don't know much about endometriosis but until you get the results try not to panic. I'm sure testing of the sperm is just a formality they have to follow. Hope you get some results soon.

Feel all dizzy so don't know if I'm coming down with something. My friend who lives away has just sent a text saying she is home at Easter and am I around but didn't say when. I said yes, she can pop round. Haven't had a reply but thinking about it, I don't know what me and DH are doing at Easter. Probably feeling annoyed for no reason.

DH home so better get some tea on before I collapse into bed.

MJIM ? please stop worrying about ?wittering? on ? that is what we are here for and I don?t think anyone begrudges you or HM2J for one minute ? our time will come

Willmouse ? your DS sounds incredibly brave ? no wonder you are proud.

Bellie ? don?t worry about the tests (easier said than done I know) ? I am glad Soosy is on this thread and can give you advice.

Juanitad ? I think most tests say that they can be used at any time but it is preferable to wait until the morning so if you can hold out, I would wait until Saturday morning ? still crossing everything for you ? no pressure or anything but as Carolyn said, you are the only one left atm

Still no AF here and no signs of it arriving. I don?t particularly feel like testing again whereas it felt like a compulsion to do it earlier in the week iyswim so I think I will leave it for now and see what happens. No other signs of either AF or pg although I have got terrible backache on the right hand side low down but I think I might have strained it during spinning yesterday .

Lovely bra HC - I only wish I was a 32D

OP posts:
carolyn1941 · 13/03/2008 19:39

ceebee - do you think you might actually be pg after all? What CD are you on now? Maybe you just tested too early. Sorry if you had put it out of your mind but I was just thinking.

juanitad - please put us out of our misery! I reckon as you are not testing too early you might get away with testing in the afternoon tomorrow!

I am on CD22 today and starting to ponder testing! I won't do, obviously, but not sure how long I can wait! You 2 are being VERY restrained!

HC - nice bra! Was thinking it was another fun link. Forgot I was on my work laptop when I looked at the 1st one!

Thanks Soosy - you really have put my mind at rest. I wish they would tell you about needing 2 semen tests to average . However, now I have calmed down a bit, I can see that they are being thorough and that the really good news is that my tube is not blocked so there is still hope xx

Hope that the house plans are still moving forward to you - did you accept the offer?(sorry if I missed this bit)

Juanitad - they do say that the morning wee is the best, but if you are late in testing that any wee should be ok. I had some boots ones that said any wee would be good (well obviously yours rather than dh's ...!)

Glad to hear that you have no more bleeding MJIM.

HC - hope you are not coming down with this horrible flu like cold thingy!

Carolyn you will have to hold the urge to test just a bit longer!! Step away from the tests!!

Off to cook tea now xx

majormoo · 13/03/2008 20:31

MJIM how frightening but glad all seems OK with the baby. I know it is hard not to worry but seeing a strong heartbeat and the baby being the correct size is fantastic.

Bellie glad you are feeling a bit better. As you say, it is good they are doing a thorough job.

Angel hope you have a better evening with DH tonight.

Juanitad good luck.

Took DD for her first ever swimming lesson earlier and she did so well, I felt so proud of her. MIL was over looking after DS while I took her and when we got back and DD told her about it she signed and said 'oh you are so grown up now.' It does go so quickly.

majormoo · 13/03/2008 20:40

sighed not signed!

Heartmum2Jamie · 13/03/2008 22:34

MJIM, OMG, how terribly frightening. I am so glad that you and the wriggler are ok though. Did they give you any indication of why you were bleeding? Either way I am glad it's stopping now.

Juanitad, good luck if you do test, fingers ect crossed for you here.

HC, I hope you aren't coming down with something. Nice bra too, I've never been a 32 anything, well not since I was pre-pubescant!

Bellie, glad you are feeling a little better.

Majormoo, well done to your dd. I really must book my boys in for lessons. I am thinking of just doing a crash course for ds1 soon as he's nearly 7. May wait a while for ds2, but he has an advantage in that he has never been scared of the water.

Ceebee, I still have my fingers crossed for you

Angel, poor you, the strain gets to the best of men at times I think.

Soozy, I'm glad you had a good accupuncture appt.

Phew! now that I have got through that, I am knackered and can't remember if I actually had anything to say, apart from wanting to catch up with you all!

HumphreysCorner · 14/03/2008 09:28

Heartmum-don't think I am a 32 anything so that probably explains why I fall out of the bra. Pre PG I was a 34B.

juanitad-any news? [excited]

MJIM-has the bleeding stopped completely?

Ladies, have got to do a mini Easter garden for DD1's school using either real or painted paper flowers. Heeeelllllllpppppp!!!!!!!

Have a good day all, off to panic about this garden.

Morning

... so we had a successful BD last night . DP actually enjoys it (at the moment!), he has just been physically exhausted from work, but really that's no excuse is it?!

Majormoo, I think that is so cute, her first ever swimming lesson! It is the sort of thing all of us here without children look forward to, a real milestone - aaahhh

I agree with Carolyn on the testing, Juanitad and Ceebee I think you should test today, I won't be logging on again until Monday and that is just too long for me to wait! Plleeeease expectant look

MrsPuddleduck · 14/03/2008 10:09

Morning all.

HC - nice bra - but too small for me as well!

MJIM - glad to hear the bleeding has stopped.

Bellie - I suffer from endometriosis and have managed to conceive twice! So don't worry about it too much. Like Soosy said, if it was that bad they would have detected it in ovaries etc.

Juanitad - good luck with the test. Personally I would buy a digital one and wait until Satuday morning.

Ceebee - any news re AF?

Hi to everyone else. I am really busy today so will check back later!

Bellie · 14/03/2008 10:28

Willmouse - thank you for even more hope I think I just panicked yesterday and got all dispondant.

HC - I have never been a 32 either!! DH and dd have made a garden for nursery - planted a couple of pansies and made a 'pond' out of cardboard and tinfoil and then covered the rest in moss to look like grass! Deep breath you can do it!

Good luck to all those testing!!

MJIM - hope everything is ok today.

soosy · 14/03/2008 10:53

I am a 32, sadly not a D cup, only a C!

Testing time, don't get me all excited, Ceebee, if your cycle was longer than you thought, then there is a chance!

HJIM hope everything is better today and you are getting lots of rest.

HC eggboxes make fab daffodils, the trumpet bit, DS made one for Mother's Day! Good Luck, I hate projects, always have how am I going to cope with this new fangled education project based thing. I long for the good old days when you were shoved into an exam room and told to write it all down, I was quite good at that!

HM2J I know what you mean everyone seems to have these exciting lives, not always in a good way granted, it is tough to keep up.

I have accepted offer on house, but we are not going to complete until DS finishes Nursery school at the beginning of July. Now the real panic begins as we have no where to go to and I will have a hell of a lot of addresses to change!

Heartmum2Jamie · 14/03/2008 11:35

Well done on selling your house Soosy! Don't blame you on not completing until July though. Good luck finding somewhere to move to.

Juanitad, any news?!

Hope you are feeling better today Mjim.

Bellie · 14/03/2008 11:52

Ohh congrats on selling the house soosy! I always think the fun bit is finding somewhere new to live (maybe it is just because I am really nosey ).

MrsPuddleduck · 14/03/2008 12:21

Congrats on selling your house Soosy. You can now start the roller coaster of actually moving house! Never again for me (unless we suddenly have a load of money and can afford a huge house - we are at our limite atm).

The war of the roses have sold their house today (thank God) but not before me having to ping pong an argument over who's job it was to clean the damn place. He said she was going to do it, she said she was going to dust and vac and he was going to clean the oven and fridge. In the end she said she had done her bit he said she had done nothing blar de blar de blar. I'm so glad I went to law school LOL!

I am now 99.9% on getting a kitten. DH is still being a miserable bean about it. Latest excuse is that it will run up my curtains (they are quite new and silk so I would be rather ). Also I have just thought of cat hair. I am after the black and white one so if you wear white you get covered in black hairs and if you wear black you get covered in white hairs.

Sorry to be going on about cats only it is CD5 here and not much else to talk about!

willmouse-you have to train your kitten like you would a dog. We used my schooling cane (from my horse riding days) as it had a bit at the end that dangled down and Marmalade played for ages with it while we chased him round the room with it which took his mind off wrecking things.

soosy-good news on accepting the house offer. Will you have to rent if you don't find anything in time?

Thanks for you mini garden ideas-dad suggested getting a seed tray and digging up a sod of lawn and shove some twigs and bits of conifer in it with a few stones for a rockery. Wish me luck.
