HC - you have my every sympathy re the easter garden - don't teacher's think we have enough to do (sorry to all teachers on this thread - you will understand one day). I remember 2 years ago we moved house on 24th March and I had a planned c-section on 29th March (so a v busy time). On 28th March I had to spend half the day decorating a blasted easter egg with DS1. It nearly tipped me over the edge!

majormoo · 14/03/2008 13:43

Hope the garden is coming on well HC!

Glad you are feeling more upbeat Bellie

Great news about the house Soosy. Now you get to snoop around other people's and decide what you like, so despite the moving stress, that bit must be quite good fun.

Glad to hear all going well now Angel.

MJIM just keep drinking those healthy drinks with your feet up. Perfect excuse to be pampered all weekend. Mind you your DH does that anyway by the sound of it without prompting.

Willmouse so is the 99.9% yes or no to the kitten?DS was up at 5.30am today so I am a bit slow today

No updates from Juanitad or Ceebee today. Fingers crossed for exciting news.

HM2J hope you are feeling OK.

The week of milestones for us this week. First swimming lesson yesterday. First school dinner today (DD usually takes packed lunch) so I hope she can navigate the canteen/tray/food. I have terrible memories of smash potatoes and blemange(not sure how you spell it but that pink stuff that was a bit like custard)but am hoping Jamie Oliver has turned school dinners into a much nicer experience. At any rate I am sure she will not have 'Bad Miss' forcing her to eat her pudding and Sister Columbanus making her eat her potatoes. Can you tell I am scarred by my school dinner experiences?!

MrsPuddleduck · 14/03/2008 14:08

I hated smash and tinned veg. It brings back very bad memories.

99.9% is probably yes .

HumphreysCorner · 14/03/2008 14:09

majormoo-did you go to a convent? Figured that if I do the garden now it will be dead by Thursday so will have to do it on Tuesday then water it.

catholic primary followed by Girls Convent school.

HumphreysCorner · 14/03/2008 14:29

Ah, my mum went to a covent but she isn't Catholic. Think this was allowed then-she said it was the best time of her school life (even though they were very strict).

Willmouse - definitely get a cat! As for the hair, I have an all-white half-Persian (with yellow eyes) and his white hairs get everywhere! We have clothes rollers which we have to use every morning, however, I really don't think cat hair is a problem unless you have a medium or long haired cat. Have you seen this video on You Tube, I think it is so funny (and the guy's quite hot too!)

Bra size - you are all lucky, I am a 30E! I would love to be able to buy all the pretty underwear but I have to go for the over-the-shoulder-boulder-holders!

MJIM - you're making me feel guilty with all the fruit!

Angel2008 · 14/03/2008 15:37

Ooops, and now the link!

HumphreysCorner · 14/03/2008 17:36

Juanitad - - that is just so so fab and am very pleased for you. Getting that first BFP is such a special moment so enjoy! And please stick around won't you?

Sorry ladies bad news here I'm afraid - AF showed very suddenly this afternoon - no warning cramps or anything else (i.e. wind [blush) that I usually get. Me and DH had been making the most of a DS-free couple of hours (iyswim ) and afterwards, we both had a little snooze and when I eventually got up, the bedsheets needed changing (sorry - tmi) as AF had arrived - cue lots of frantic bed changing as we were cutting it fine to go and pick DS from nursery

Soosy - how did the school dinners go?

MJIM - glad the bleeding has stopped - could it have been the placenta embedding itself which I believe happens about 10 weeks (I had quite a bad bleed at 10 weeks iirc)? I know they said it was a threatened miscarriage but who knows...

HM2J - glad you are ok.

Hi to everyone else - well if Juanitad is our 1 this month, it must be one of us next month eh?

OP posts:
HumphreysCorner · 14/03/2008 18:09

yey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

carolyn1941 · 14/03/2008 18:11

Oh ceebee - sorry to hear the witch arrived. Grrrrrrrr she's a pita. Maybe it's your month next month

juanitad · 14/03/2008 19:05

Hi again,

I think it is sort of starting to sink in a bit now! Thank you for all your kind congratulations. I would love to stick around on this thread for a while if that's ok! I feel I'm getting to know people here now, and will be hoping and praying for BFPs for all of you very very soon.

I just found myself crying at a scene in Home and Away. I'm not usually a very emotional person - I never cry even at the soppiest bits of the soppiest films, so I'm guessing the hormones are starting to kick in!!

Ceebee sorry AF arrived, so annoying when your cycle is longer than normal, as it gets your hopes up. I really hope next month is your month.

Soosy, congrats on selling the house, that's great news.

Willmouse - welcome to the cat club!! Don't worry about all the problems, it's actually really lovely having a pet!!

ceebee74 · 14/03/2008 19:31

What did your Dh say? Is he walking round with is chest puffed out ?

juanitad · 14/03/2008 20:17

Ceebee - yes, DH is very pleased with himself! Quite convinced it is all down to him, nothing to do with me!!!!

majormoo · 14/03/2008 20:28

Congratulations Juanitad that is fantastic news. Have a lovely evening and put your feet up. You need to be waited on hand and foot now.

B*gger Ceebee. Have a nice glass of chilled white wine (as I am doing at the moment.)

soosy · 14/03/2008 20:30

Fantastic news juanitad!

Ceebee sorry to hear af arrived.

DH came home moaning about how much we should have got for the house. I got cross, thankfully he now seems to have cheered up glad it is only CD4 as if it were later in my cycle then he wouldn't be getting it anyway!

HC how is the bra going.... I need a BFP the same time as you!

MJIM glad everything has settled down.
