Misdee???!!! Really?! That is wonderful news even if it wasn't planned. Suppose I better be careful, we both use another board where I had no intention of announcing my status until much later in my pregnancy, if at all (lots of weird stuff been going on with that board in the last few weeks)

MrsIcarus · 12/03/2008 23:19

Hi there!

Have just been catching up on the last few days (we were away in Paris for a long weekend ) - there have been some very varied conversations whilst I've been away!!

Willmouse - we are avoiding TTC for this month to avoid a December baby. My niece was born very near Christmas last year, so I really don't want to clash with her (or Christmas!).

Sorry to all of those who were disappointed this month. AF arrived here the day after we got back from Paris on CD23, so not really sure what's going on there...Fingers crossed for those who are still waiting.

ceebee74 · 13/03/2008 08:24

Belgian ? I have just caught up on the other thread and am so so happy for Misdee ? that is a happy ending if ever there was one! There is no way I can be

Soosy ? mmmm chocolate fest ? I can?t wait. Why does chocolate taste so much nicer in egg form (or is that just me?)

MrsIcarus ? how was Paris? I bet it was just lovely. Sorry about your AF but maybe your cycle just needs a couple of months to reset itself?

Am off to the gym again in a bit ? going to do 2 classes this morning which is unheard of since DS?s arrival ? will I be able to walk afterwards?? Then I plan to do some tidying up for the rest of the day (in between lots of resting and putting my feet up of course because isn?t that what holidays are about??)

Hope you all have good days

x

Forgot - still no AF and now on CD32 but I did manage to resist testing this morning (in fact, I didn't even think about it).

Any news juanitad?

Morning all.

I am rofl at everyone's at opening HC's link ( and the fact that we all thought were going to be looking at a bra only to be faced with a man with a rather large organ . I did have a good look - I thought it only polite after HC went to the effort of putting a link in )

I have to admit that I keep eating DS2's Lindt bunny - the chocolate is too big for him to eat (honestly).

I think we have a split Easter (is that when they finish on a Wednesday and go back on a Thursday?). It suits me as DH has booked Easter week off work so I only have two half weeks on my own.

Well done for not testing Ceebee - I know how you feel. I put on about 1/4 of a stone that cycle due to stress induced eating! Just remember that I wasted about £20 on tests.

Belgianbun - glad you are feeling more optimistic.

Hi to anyone I've missed.

HumphreysCorner · 13/03/2008 10:05

In our area the schools have Good Friday and Easter Monday off at Easter and their main 2 weeks start 7th April.

Found Misdee's thread. Am so for them.

Morning all!

Ceebee sorry to hear about your BFN. There is still a chance though so don't get too down just yet?!

Juanitad - spill the beans, when are you testing?

I tried to open the link but my work had blocked it .. I am hoping that they do not keep records of sites which people try to access!

Soosy, what has gone on with your house? I only ask because we have just put my fiancee's flat on the market for a stupidly high price (we figured everyone knows the market is crashing at the moment and any offers would knock a fair bit off the asking price).

I am not feeling too great today. After missing a night BD at the weekend we missed one last night too . DP is working stupid hours at the moment and got in at midnight last night, and was too tired to do anything in the end . We had a shouting match about it at 1.30am as I had made it clear to him as soon as he got in (LOL) that we needed to do BD later, and he promised me (it's not like it has to take AGES every time). I had stayed up to wait for him to come in, had his dinner ready as usual, had a glass of wine with him and a chat about his day etc and then at bedtime he wasn't interested. I am not necessarily expecting anything to happen this month but it really disappoints me to have a half-hearted effort. At least if we had done it every other night and I get a BFN I could have thought that we had tried our best. Am I being unreasonable? Feel a bit emotional about it all today although it could be just the tiredness (I was so angry with him I slept on the sofa bed!).

Angel2008 · 13/03/2008 10:55

PS sorry MrsIcarus that AF arrived

MJIM - OMG, how very very scary for you . I had really heavy bleeding for a lot of the early weeks with DS so I know how you feel - but isn't it great to see the heartbeat on the screen. So much for an early night then I guess - I really hope you are putting your feet up and resting now.

Angel - I don't think you are being that unreasonable with your DP - you had made the effort to stay up and eat your tea with him even though it was really late. And as you say, there is nowt wrong with a quickie occasionally to get the job done but maybe your DP doesn't understand that? Maybe you should try that link from HC

MJIM-my goodness, bet you are terrified. When will you be scanned again? Should be in a few days, surely? No lifting now and take it easy. {{hugs}}

How scary for you MJIM, like everyone else has said, don't do too much now. I had a similar scare with DS1 and was prescribed a week's complete bed rest (v nice dr at the time who has since sadly died). I really hope everything goes well for you now, I'm sure it will.

I am feeling quite upbeat. Finally managed to persuade DS1 to go into CM's house. He usually refuses as he is absolutley terrified of dogs. CM'dog is really old and was asleep in the corner of the kitchen with a babygate up but it is real progress for him. I feel really proud or him for being so brave! (we have to cross the road if there is a dog coming in our direction).

Angel2008 · 13/03/2008 14:01

MJIM - I hope you are okay, am sending positive vibes your way! Makes my issue seem titchy in comparison. Hope you are okay xxx

MrsPuddleduck · 13/03/2008 14:18

Angel, there's nothing quite like ttc to take all romance out of BDing!

Angel2008 · 13/03/2008 14:25

You're so right - I might have to attack him tonight though!
