ceebee-sorry about your BFN. Maybe wait a couple of days to see if the witch shows?

willmouse-sorry your AF showed. I am so with you on the December bit so that is why we are waiting until May. I just want No 3 to have an independent birthday like the 2 girls.

soosy-your poor dad, hope it hand mends very soon. How painful. I burnt my leg and foot when I caught fire in a motorbike accident and had to have my dressings changed at the Drs several times a week for ages.

CD4 here-FF has predicted OV day anywhere from CD13 to CD27 so that is a lot of sticks to wee on.

When do we put the clocks forward?

Better get on, have done some weeding but DH will think I haven't done anything if I don't tidy inside. He isn't a gardener so wouldn't notice anything I'd done outside.

Clocks go forward on 30th march!

Angel2008 · 11/03/2008 12:33

Hi all

Sorry I haven't posted for a while, I am just too exhausted to log on in the evenings at the moment! My friend from work is off sick though today, so thought I would take the opportunity!

Ceebee, sorry about your BFN.

We have been BD every other day, apart from last weekend, where we BD Thursday and then Sunday (and last night!). I am really worried we have missed the opportunity now! Am on CD 16 today.

Anyone testing today??

HumphreysCorner · 11/03/2008 12:42

Thanks Heartmum-will put a reminder on Facebook.

Hi Angel.

Hope you are feeling OK BelgianBun.

Sorry about the BFN Ceebee. I guess my only advice would be to try not to drive yourself mad with lots of testing that will most likely bring the same result. Even though there is of course the possibility that you tested too early, I reckon it is best to accept it as a BFN rather than try to convince yourself it may just really be a BFP in a few days(well that is how my mind works in my various attempts to drive myself mad anyway!)

Willmouse glad you feel OK about things.

Soosy hope your dad is OK. Hope things calm down with the MIL.

Bellie hope your ovaries are beautifully healthy!

I am feeling a bit odd about trying this month. Usually by now (which would be about CD10/11ish-not sure as it was all a bit weird this month)I would be relishing all the action we'll be getting at this time of the month. Instead I feel pretty listless and not at all in the mood. I guess I feel battered after the excitement of a BFP, then a week later the BFN. It is just that feeling of 'what if it happens again?' After my termination we waited three months to try again, while I waited for results of a smear and also saw a completely barking but completely wonderful psychotherapist at Kings, so I suppose we had more emotional space to pick ourselves up again.

Anyway apologies if I have put you all to sleep with a very long post.

MrsPuddleduck · 11/03/2008 13:37

Hi majormoo and ceebee - keep your chins up!

I am completely engrossed in possible cat atm (I am anal so need to research and then re-research before comiting myself).

Ds2 has recovered from reflux bout and no sign of any spots.......yet! He has been with one of the 'victims' sisters all morning....watch this space.

Glad the clocks going back date is confirmed - I was starting to wonder on which night mother nature would deprive me of a well deserved hour of sleep!

HC - did you sell your bra!

HumphreysCorner · 11/03/2008 14:18

My cat is so well trained that he doesn't sit on the sofa or any beds and doesn't walk on the worktops. (Do have a relative that feeds her cats on the worktop ) He also knows not to claw the kitchen units or use any furniture as a scratching post. Hope you decide soon willmouse. BTW my bra is still listed so not sold yet.

majormoo-maybe not 'try' as such, just enjoy the closeness and comfort.

ceebee74 · 11/03/2008 14:22

Majormoo - I have been trying to do exactly as you have suggested and accept it as a BFN rather than convince myself that it was too early to test - but I guess until AF shows, there will always be that little little doubt in the back of my mind.

Willmouse - tbh I did think of you and your long cycle last time - I did have a 35-day cycle (complete with 3 BFN's) 3 cycles ago so this is not completely out of the blue - had just hoped things had settled down a bit. I am not an animal person so cannot help you with your cat research!

Angel - apparently sperm can live for upto 5 days so I am sure you haven't missed the opportunity this month. Will keep fingers crossed for you.

Hope you are all having a good day - DH is going for a job interview at a motorway service station this evening (that sounds really dodgy doesn't it??) so won't be back until really late.

And I am not at work this week yippee! DS is going to nursery as usual from tomorrow and I am going to be a lady of leisure for 3 days - am SO looking forward to having some 'me' time!! Just glad DS isn't old enough yet to cotton on to this fact

Angel2008 · 11/03/2008 14:56

Ceebee, I am so jealous of you! You should run yourself a a nice bubble bath with candles and then have a manicure and a pedicure and eat loads of chocolate - bliss!

I have a cat (who - or WHOM, lol - I adore!). He is very naughty but very cute. He doesn't cost that much and I am of the school of thought that pet insurance is a bit of a waste of money (I have had Harry for 5 years and not had to shell out for him once, apart from the usual jabs etc) - although I can completely understand why people would feel more comfortable with insurance. Cats are very therapeutic aswell!

soosy · 11/03/2008 14:59

Ceebee, sorry to hear about your BFN. And I know all about the nagging thing that doesn't go away until af arrives. I think perhaps it was much easier in our parents day when you probably had to miss two af's before you though you were pg and then had a test at the GP!

Majormoo I think probably you need a break, it has been a hell of a month for you. At the Hospital they say after mc you should have one normal af before trying again, emotionally you need a break too.

HC your accident and burns sound terrible, I don't think my dad's is that bad, but he is worried that he won't be able to cope with the dressings when he goes to S Africa at just after Easter. We are going to see him for a few days over Easter, and I am hoping it will have healed enough for him to cope with dressing it.

Af arrived this am which makes last month a 28 day cycle! I don't know if I can repeat it next month as well for my FET which is frustrating. So I am CD1, I keep thinking I should have another stab at it naturally, but i need to summon up energy and as a friend of mine said after she had her second child ' I'd sleep with anyone rather than my husband!'

Angel2008 · 11/03/2008 15:09

Soosy - energy drinks?! Got to be worth a go ...

HumphreysCorner · 11/03/2008 15:48

soosy-you could always stick a brown paper bag over his head like in Nip Tuck last season. Seriously, see how it goes-no pressure eh? I have no recollection of our accident so didn't know I was on fire-only aware 20 mins later when a Paramedic said 'are you alright love?' Police kept asking for a detailed account of the pile up but my mind must have blanked it out or it could be the 2 glasses of Blossom Hill I drank prior to that evenings bike run that dulled my brain-lol. Thank the Lord I did as it obviously made be bounce better through being relaxed.

Yey!

Bellie · 11/03/2008 16:54

Hi all,

Ceebee - sorry about BFN must be sooooo frustrating. At least you can have a winge on here!

Soosy- sounds encouraging about the 28 day cycle - fingers crossed that it stays this way for the comig month and your frosties!

Willmouse - can't help on the cat front I'm afraid - I am allergic, but dd would love a pet especially a cat if she could! Chickenpox is much better if your ds can catch it young. I had it when I was 15 and it was horrible covered in spots (not a good look at 15) and itching like crazy. And to top it off it was in the school holidays too so had no time off school either! I do feel for your friend though as she has a lot to cope with!

Scan went well - ovaries look healthy and she could even tell that I had ovulated recently - so hopefully the weekends activities worked this month! She was a little concerned at the thickness of the lining of my uterus which apparently may be the reason for my v heavy periods. Not sure what to make of that though. Frustrating part is that I now have to wait until july to see the consultant to discuss the results. Think may look into private with the same consultant as not sure that I can wait that long....

carolyn1941 · 11/03/2008 17:58

ceebee and willmouse - sorry the witch got you grrrr she's a pain aint she?

soosy - agree...at least you know what's going on in your body!

bellie - glad your scan went well. It all sounds rather promising!

angel - plenty of BDing , that's what we like to hear!

HC/H2MJ/MJIM/ - hello glad you're all ok! P.S. I would like to see photo of bump also!

Majormoo - I don't know wether to advise the month off. Trying to think what I would do. Think would perhaps carry on, but personal decision.

Where's Juanitad???? Maybe she got a BFP?!?!?

I have had a nice day. Think might have a night off from the BDing though as am ABSOLUTELY KNACKERED! (CD19/31)Feel like Soosy's friend - I don't want any for a while, especially not with DP! ha ha!

Hope I haven't missed anyone. Sorry if I have.

juanitad · 11/03/2008 19:23

Hi all,

It's been a busy day again on this thread! Sorry that AF arrived wilmouse, but I guess it's preferable to get it after 28 days rather than 37 like last month, that was really frustrating for you no doubt! At least your cycle seems to be back to normal after what was hopefully just a blip. Soosy, I'm thinking maybe having a go at it naturally might be worth it, you just never know, this month could be the one for you!! I know what you mean about summoning up the energy though! Ceebee, I know that feeling - I got 2 BFNs last month but until AF turned up I still had this hope that maybe I was just testing too early, hence my attempt at holding out as long as I can this month!! I'm on CD31. If my cycle is the same as last month, then AF should turn up tomorrow. She didn't show her face today, so there's still some hope. I don't have a feeling either way to be honest. Who knows? Will report again tomorrow night!

Finding it v funny to see that lots of us on this thread are somewhat animal obsessed!!!

HumphreysCorner · 11/03/2008 19:51

Fingers crossed juanitad

Angel ? I am definitely going to go to the gym for at least 2 hours each day as that really is a luxury at the moment (both me and DH want to go to the gym at weekends so it is usually rushed to fit both of us in whilst the other stays at home with DS) ? but I love the idea of a manicure and pedicure

Soosy ? fingers crossed for you for this cycle. Can completely see where your friend is coming from

Bellie ? glad the scan went well but JULY before you can discuss the results?? How awful! I really hope you can conceive naturally before then and then it will all be irrelevant.

Juanitad ? fingers crossed for you (I seem to be doing a lot of finger crossing here ladies) ? make sure you keep us updated. Well done for having the willpower not to test ? unfortunately I caved and have probably depressed myself more by doing so

But what I want to know is how you get over that feeling, apart from the bag over the head, which would help, but I (sorry probably wtmi) think that part of the problem may be that my DH's (and I do love him dearly) technique (to put it politely) has barely changed in nearly 15 years. Couple with the fact that we spent seven years ttc the will to do more of the same frankly is not inspiring. TBH I don't think energy drinks are going to do it, except if they contain extreme mind bending drugs!

Anybody got any tips apart from pretending it's Daniel Craig....

Bellie, July that's a shocker, but once you are in you're in, nothing takes that long again. Sounds really positive though. I would keep going as you are and hopefully you will be pg before your appointment.

Not entirely sure what you mean about animal obsessed Juanitad, is this a tip or should I be offended!!!!!!

HC Thank God for Blossom Hill keeping you relaxed, And good that the mind blanks out these things, it's all for a very good reason. silly policeman trying to make you remember!

LOL Carolyn, nights off are necessary, for regrouping!

Love to everyone else.

soosy-the Blossom Hill comes in handy for all occasions especially in the bedroom department. Shame I am struggling with my weight as I have had to cut down on the vino too-damn! Other than that a quick look at often helps.

morning all!!!

OK, Soosy, Totally telling you this, but porn is definetly the way to go! We watch it quite a bit, always have done tbh. Got a fair selection of videos built up. It might seem a bit odd, but it does seem to get you in the mood quite quickly!.......hope nobody thinks I'm weird now!

Or, you could try something a bit fun. You both write down on a bit of paper something you would like to do, and then swap them over and carry them out! You might both be surprised!!!!...tonnes easier than saying stuff out loud!

Right I'm off to work before you all think I'm crackers!

MrsPuddleduck · 12/03/2008 09:03

Well you have all made me this morning LOL! Sounds like you all have a lot of fun .

Soosy, I always try the sexy undies - it makes me feel better about myself as well iyswim.

I am really tired. I did my lazy trick and didn't pull the wheelie bin around to the back after bin day. Hence I have been kept up all night by it rattling down the alley was a bit better once it blew over bet our neighbours hate us this morning .

Glad you are keeping well Mjob - I would definitely infect both of mine with chicken pox if it wasn't for the fact that I have actually gone to the effort of arranging a decent birthday party at the end of the month.

Bellie - I would try for a private appointment if I were you. I think we paid about £120 for ours 4 years ago in Stafford. Soosy may have a better idea of how much it costs nowadays. Ours was worth it - it moved things along by about 6 months as I remember. I also suffer from really heavy periods and take tranexamic acid and mefenamic acid (9 tablets a day in total to controll things - sorry if tmi). On that point, don't suffer - go to your GP if you haven't already.

Any news Ceebee or Juanitad?

HC - blossom hill has alot to answer for (stick to Chenin Blanc - or Voigner if you want to be posh LOL).

Hope Majormoo is OK.
