hi hatty yellow good luck

GryffinGirl · 25/02/2008 19:17

ha ha - madoldbird. Permission granted provided it is only mild burbling at this stage until AF is confirmed . Oh, and I'll join you in lamping anyone who says "I've got three boys, but I want a girl sooo much I could cry!!!! Does anyone know about the Shettles Method???!!". I'll have to be careful of my behaviour (i'm originally from Glasgow, and I;d only reinforce the Rab C Nesbitt stereotype . Hatty you can definitely join in!

londonmummy2005 · 25/02/2008 19:46

Hi girls thanks for all your responses. I just did another one and you;re al right the line is fainter than the other one, it's just that when I used the uk ones thay would just show one line if not OVing so I guess I'm done ovulating I have to try and calculate when It would have happened! I definitely got EWCM a few days ago so must have been then. Can't really symptom spot as on other side of world so everything a bit different anyway especially with jet lag and long flight on the way back AF is usually later wen I travel. Will keep you posted. Thanks again!

coolkat · 25/02/2008 19:57

Ei, Where are you, I hope you are ok.
X

Bucky2008 · 25/02/2008 21:17

ha ha ha ...swiging out a champagne bottle and singing wildly out of tune... sounds like a normal Saturday night for me ! OK just this Saturday night gone

Hatty I know what your saying but my LP is only 11 days so I have had surges on CD14 before...hopefully its ok, it would be just my luck to be having a freak month where it happens a day early or something...

Bucky2008 · 25/02/2008 21:33

Panic over! The waiting room list was wrong....still let the BDing begin

Thank you thank you thank you for all your kind messages. I'm pleased to say that all went well at the scan yesterday and I am 6 + 1 with a heartbeat I can't tell you how relieved I am, so far so good.

So for those of you that were thinking of me and even went so far as too hold your fingers tightly crossed until blue and plaited their hair I'm truly grateful for your good vibes

GG How mean is that, bloody receptionists. I hope DH has better success in getting his results today.

pinkgirl30 · 26/02/2008 08:34

hi all

hi to everyone
good to hear from you ei
great news o7mumstheword how exciting

madoldbird · 26/02/2008 09:03

Morning all!

MTW that's such lovely news Am so happy for you. Hope you can relax a little now. It's so incredible, isn't it, that a tiny thing like that, which, although you are 6w, only began to form about 4w ago, actually has a heartbeat already. Do keep us updated on everything, won't you - don't abandon us yet!!!

EI glad to see you - was getting worried about you!! How are you today?

pinkgirl any sign of AF (or BFP)?

twinklingfairy was thinking about you this morning, and that i hadn't "seen" you for a bit. Or maybe i have just missed your posts. (Iget confused. Easily confused.) How are things with you, anyway?

coolkat how are you today? Have you done another test? Hope all goes well with the GP. Thinking of you.

Bucky am hoping the deed is done?!

hattyyellow glad you are joining me in the drunken singing / shouting / general bad behaviour! Although i am off for my second reflexology session in a minute so hopefully i will be nice and calm and relaxed when i get back, and won't feel like shouting obscenities any more!!!

GG thinking of you and gryffinboy between 12 - 1, getting those results.

Good morning to JB, Mibbes, beaniesteve, scully, london, TSTT and anyone else i have inadvertently forgotten.

Bucky2008 · 26/02/2008 09:38

Fantastic MTW. I am soo happy for you.

Glad to see you back Ei we missed you.

And yes, MOB the deed is done! , but it has to be done again and again in the next few days and I am tired already .

toosoontotell · 26/02/2008 10:07

Hiya,thanks for the welcomes .

Well done on the good news MTW

I have decided I am definitely going insane . This is the 3rd day in a row of feeling sick yet I'm hungry and want to eat. Surely it's too soon? I've also been a bit "crampy" but that's gone now. I confess I have tested but so far -ve. Mind you in the past I've only ever got +ve when my period's late. Maybe I've got my dates wrong? In the past when I have kept a note my cycle has varied from 24-32 days. Sorry for the rambling but it's good to get my thoughts out anonymously

mibbes · 26/02/2008 10:26

MTW fantatsic news that all is well with you and beany - yippeee
JB have everything crossed that egg stays away until after scan, will be thinking of you {{{{hugs}}}} xx
GG good luck with DH's results
Hello to Ei, Bucky, MOB, hatty, Fairy, coolkat and all the other ladies - Sounds like there is lots of Bd'ing going on - good work ladies

TMI alert ladies - DP and I BD'd last night (yes just for fun !) and at one point he seemed to hit something hard - am assuming it was my cervix which I guess is low and hard so soon after AF. Anyway it was painful and then afterwards I had some mild cramps then a small amount of blood - today have more blood and quite a lot after bowel movement Has DP broken something ? The annoying thing is although he was sympathtic he seems quietly proud to be big enough to cause me pain ! What a typically male reaction . Anyone ever had this ? I have doc appt tonight so will mention it then but how !!! I'll pop back later and let you know how doc appt goes - have temp charts and cycle spreadsheet at the ready !

EiWishFor3MoreWishes · 26/02/2008 11:24

morning ladies
nice to see the place a bit livlier today
MTW great news on the scan you little bean is strong with the heartbeat so early!! lets hope he/she doesnt give you any more grief before you get to the end of the preg

JollyBear · 26/02/2008 12:22

Morning all,

ei I nearly splattered soup all over my computer at the thought of AF unpacking in undercrackers! Sorry work have been so crap. They cannot have a go for you being ill and for your nan being ill. Have they no compassion?!

mibbes I'll confess I had a similar experience about six months ago and went to the Drs and it was just my cervix . I didn't know it moved around!! I find some positions worse than others that certain times of my cycle Hope the Dr is helpful, let us know how it goes.

GG Hope your DH has more luck actually getting his results today. Fingers crossed all is well.

toosoon Those symptoms sound good. Try and hold out from testing again for a bit, easier said than done I know but serial testing can get very expensive. Fingers crossed for you!

MTW So glad to hear your scan went well. It is amazing as MOB says!

How are you feeling MOB, hope AF is not showing herself?

bucky The waiting room was a day out for everyone wasn't it, phew! Hope you get some more energy for bd'ing again later

hatty I wouldn't worry about the soya milk, judging by lots of threads recently we should all be using condoms and taking the MAP to get pregnant!!

I won't be around tomorrow as I'll be travelling for my scan. I'll be back on Friday with good scan results I hope, and hopefully BFPs from some of you.

Byeeeeeeeee

GryffinGirl · 26/02/2008 12:23

ok - you probably guessed it.

DH got his results. "Sperm count very low - further test required". He's in shock standing in the stairwell at work, but still refusing to come home to a reasonable time to discuss it. I am at my desk at work feeling absolutely numb.

GryffinGirl · 26/02/2008 12:25

sorry, Jolly - I meant to say good luck with your scan and keep us posted. Thinking of you.

madoldbird · 26/02/2008 12:31

Oh darling GG you poor thing, and poor DH. I feel for you both so much. Of course you must both be in shock. What can i say except i am thinking of you.

Do you have an appt with the GP do discuss things further? This is a hurdle to get over, yes, but it CAN be got over. There is so much that can be done medically, and so many natural things that can help as well.

I hope and pray that DH goes home at a reasonable hour and you can discuss this together.

Look after yourselves, and remember that we are all here for you.

XX

JollyBear · 26/02/2008 12:33

Oh GG

I'm so sorry. I hope he changes his mind and comes home early so you can talk it through. What a difficult situation for you both

Thanks for wishing me all the best. You are so lovely to think of me when you are reeling from this news.

GryffinGirl · 26/02/2008 12:47

thank you so much jolly and madoldbird - I am so glad to have such brilliant friends around on this thread 'cause I absolutely don't know what to do and of, course, can't speak to anyone in RL. I do nothing, I suppose, until I sort it through in my head, speak to DH and get him to the doctor fast.

Poor DH too - his mother is having a major operation as I type this, so he is very confused today.

I can probably give up symptom spotting for the time being.

pinkgirl30 · 26/02/2008 13:04

Hi all

Hi Madoldbird- still no af on cd 31, have had nausea today and abit of cramping. testing sat if still no sigh of af
sorry gg this must be a very hardtime for you

TantiK · 26/02/2008 13:05

Afternoon all - am slowly finding all the relevant TTC threads to tag onto! Lovely to meet all of you and I look forward to sharing a glass of champagne with you all soon.

In terms of symptoms last month I had a terrible headache and spotting in front of my eyes when I ov'd - never had this before and a friend said that means that my body is getting ready to be impregnated!! Lets hope so. I also had the worst PMT ever - we had a few probs after DS1 was born so feeling depressed isn't good for my thoughts about the permanance of my marriage - I know it is only hormonal, but it feels so serious at the time!. No symptoms for me yet this month, hopefully this means that we are still in time and in with a chance.

BD night tonight (good for the marriage!), but we BD'd last night so will try to think of something persuasive to BD again!
GG - for you and hubbie, there are always hurdles to overcome in life, I am sure you will manage these ones. Stay positive. Here are some positives for you +++++++!

PS - Am I right to justify the odd glass/bottle of wine when AF is around and when I know for sure that I am not PG (i.e. the first half of my cycle)?!! Or am I really ruining my chances??

pinkgirl30 · 26/02/2008 13:08

welcome tantik go on treat yourself to a glass of wine on me one wont hurt enjoy

GryffinGirl · 26/02/2008 13:13

thanks and welcome TantiK -personally I don't think there is anything wrong with a glass or two of wine when AF is around. I think general advice for improving chances of conception is to cut down on alcohol, but look at all the conceptions that happen when people are blind drunk, so I don't think you should stress too much about it.

thank you everyone for your support about DH's results. I can't thank you enough. Knowing this doesn't feel like the answer to the question and the end of the wondering, it feels like the beginning of a long and stressful rollercoaster .

I spoke to DH again and he said there's no point in him coming home early "only to have some long and involved discussion, when we don't have any more information" . But what about talking about how we are feeling

JollyBear · 26/02/2008 13:23

GG Poor DH, he is having a difficult time. Have you made a GP appointment yet or been offered one? It might be a good idea to have the results explained by your GP and discuss the next steps. It might help you feel less anxious about the implications of the result and as you say the possible 'rollercoaster' ahead.

It must be hard for you to have to deal with your own feelings about it as well as supporting your DH.
