OMG! I think I've got a BFP . Depending on my cycle AF was due between today and Thurs. Decided to give it a go with CB and I'm sure there's a faint line . Cacking myself now, stupid isn't it? Haven't even told DH yet

Now,do I test again first thing or resist until the day after?

Bucky2008 · 06/04/2008 20:14

Hey MOB, no AF here either yet. I had all the usual cramps and symptoms for her turning up yesterday and then she never showed? Just teasing me I am sure. . I need to buy a decent test, I don't trust those bits of paper. They may be right but I convince myself that they are not, I tested again this morning and got another BFN. But they are literally a bit of paper the size of a matchstick .

If no AF by Wednesday, I will buy a CBD.

Congrats TSTT

Bucky2008 · 06/04/2008 20:15

Maybe my jetlag when I got back of hols delayed ov ....

mibbes · 06/04/2008 20:55

TSTT you's probably get a more convincing line on the morning...good luck

Bucky how late does that make you ? I agree that you need to get a proper test, how can a piece of paper tell !? I am very hopefuly for you hun and jetlag from France ?? I don't think so ! If only you were temping we'd have a far better idea. It will be a long wait until Wed, am getting excited for you !

fishnchips · 06/04/2008 21:11

Thank you mibbes and MOB. Good luck to you this month!

AF was due yesterday, as that was CD30 and I generally have a 29 day cycle.

I went to the West Indies with my parents after the France trip Mibbes....the trip were I had to buy fabric and leave DP at home. The france trip was a weekend away with DP, which incidentally was lovely...ahhh, feel all nostalgic.

I do wish I was temping now too....When I went to the doctor for my CD21 test he told me not to bother starting temping as the blood tests etc would tell him all he needed to know. If DP hadn't taken so long to get round to making his appointment we may have got somewhere with that.... Anyway, if she turns up this time I will by a thermometer...

Bucky2008 · 06/04/2008 21:19

Good evening Ei...X posted so didn't see you there. Where has AF got to this month . Hopefully ONE of us will get some good luck?

PicknMix · 06/04/2008 22:07

Hi all,

FnC and TSTT congrats on your BFPs - FAB NEWS !!

Ei, Bucky and MOB d'ya reckon our AF's have all bggered off together somewhere?! I'm still on knickerwatch - like you Bucks* I have been using tests that surely could never be right as they are no bigger than a matchstick - may have to invest in some the 'posh' tests if AF doesn't arrive in the next day or two.

Although - boobs are now sore (as they tend to get just before af), I am a scary angry lady to DH (as I tend to get just before af) and stomach is cramping slightly (as it tends to get just before af - do you see a theme here?!).

Ei clutch away at those straws - I have my fingers firmly crossed for you, Bucky and MOB this month!

Does anyone know where Tinkerbell has got to? She said she was gonna leave off posting for a while so I hope she's ok.

Also - I read briefly (was on mobile so not easy to post at the time) that poor Fairy is suffering, as is Scully and also Scary. Am thinking of them all at such a horrible horrible time for them

Madoldbird · 07/04/2008 06:57

Well, the stupid old cowbag is here. Hoping and praying for better news for my fellow club members!!! (Will you all go out and get proper tests )

tstt sounds good. Congrats!! Do hope you get a stronger line today

Will post properly later - going to drown my sorrows with a cup of tea!

toosoontotell · 07/04/2008 08:15

MOB,sorry to hear that.

Well I got a definite line today so it looks like it's for real . Sending the good stuff to everyone waiting and hope to see you on the ante-natal threads very soon.

PicknMix · 07/04/2008 08:27

Really sorry to hear about that MOB - tea and toast this morning and then wine and choc this evening for you methinks.

Am going in to town later - am thinking I might invest in a test..... But then I'm worried about tempting fate so maybe I wont!!!

Pleased to hear the line is stronger today TSTT, good luck, do pop in and tell us how you're getting on

JB and Hatty how are you doing today?

Ei have you tested again yet?!

Hi to GG and Bucky (tested yet??) hope you're both ok!

mibbes · 07/04/2008 09:00

MOB so sorry the cow got you , as PnM says a treat is in order to cheer yourself up xx
Ei tested yet ?
Bucky tested yet ?
TSTT hurray another Dec baby ! Congrats and come over the the Dec AN thread, it is getting busier now.
JB are you officially in 2ww terriotry now ? What day you on ?

JollyBear · 07/04/2008 09:07

Morning all,

Congrats fishandchips and toosoontotell

MOB I'm so sorry AF has arrived. It is good news that your DH wants to go for a sperm test though, hopefully it will be good news and just having the test done will bring a BFP.

bucky Any news? I've still got everything crossed for you.

picknmix Get a test!! Go on!!

ei Have you tested again? Your chart looks great . I feel a BFP is on the cards for our own Mystic Meg.

GG How are things with you?

I'm not sure if I'm on the 2ww yet mibbes. My temp has risen a bit today but certainly not conclusivly post-ov yet. TMI I'm sure but my CM started to dry up yesterday and my cervix is low and firm so if I haven't ov my body has given up trying . Fingers crossed for a higher temp tomorrow. This is my v confusing chart!! here

mibbes · 07/04/2008 09:20

JB today's rise could be enough to indicate ov. If you had fertile CM and it has dried up then I reckon it has happened (but then as FF says don't stop BDing until you are sure). Sometimes the rise can be a slow rise with no obvious jump - remember Sparkly's rise the cycle she has just finished ? Are you using opks ? Trust your instinct, if you think it has happened then it most probably has xx

Bucky2008 · 07/04/2008 09:27

MOB she can't be at your house because she showed up at mine!!! CD1 here...does that mean we are cycle buddies?

JollyBear · 07/04/2008 09:30

Thanks mibbes, I've been reading TCOYF because things started to dry up yesterday and I was concerned as my temp hadn't risen but it said that CM can dry up quickly on the day of ov. Also that if you were going to have a cycle with no ov the shift in CM wouldn't be as dramatic . All the signs point to ov I suppose, I need to stop worrying I haven't and I'm heading for another long cycle. Roll on tomorrow and a nice high temp!!

I'll have to crack open the lucozade for even more bd'ing (thanks for the tip hatty!)

JollyBear · 07/04/2008 09:34

Oh bucky

I was really hopeful for you. I'm sorry.

mibbes · 07/04/2008 09:36

Bucky so sorry hun, I was also really hopeful for you this cycle . Do you plan to start temping ? Maybe it will give a a new focus and it definitely helps to understand what is going on - just a thought xx

PicknMix · 07/04/2008 09:43

for Bucky and MOB today - sorry to hear that Bucky xx

hattyyellow · 07/04/2008 10:03

Ohhhh Bucky and MOB I'm so sorry...

GryffinGirl · 07/04/2008 10:36

Conrratulations toosoontotell - doesn;t sound like it is too soon anymore . So pleased for you Bucky - NOOOOOO! Not TEW . (((((((Big hugs to you)))))). i really thought it was your month, m'dear.

hello to everyone else - what news? Were any of the Scottish contingent snowed in? There was quite a lot of snow here, yes even in London although it had melted by 2pm

EiWishFor3MoreWishes · 07/04/2008 11:41

morning ladies bucky and MOB sorry TEW got you both!! what a bitch!!
she is certainly giving me the run around aswell!! BFN this morning with FMU and still high temp (for me anyway) 18DPO and no AF!!! its totally peeing me off now!! i wish something would happen cos i cant imagine my LP is possibly any longer than 16 days as agreed by the general consesus of fertility experts etc!! they say if you appear to have an LP of 16+ days you are almost certainly pregnant as that is the longest an LP is expected to be with the average being 12-14 days!!i always assumed my LP was around 14 days so either i was way off or there is something wrong with me this cycle
ah well enough of my moaning
hope everyone else is ok
xx ei xx

JollyBear · 07/04/2008 12:09

ei I've posted on Emssy's thread my thoughts on your chart! Looking v good though despite the BFNs.

Oooh ladies, I was visiting my folks this weekend and found the book (published in the 70's) with which my mother explained to me the facts of life . It is all about the women's body and I looked at the conception section and it said that to test for pregnancy you have to wait 2 weeks from the date of a missed period! What a nightmare, a four week wait .

Also DH's mum said this weekend that when she was expecting DH she was tested at the Drs and it came back negative. She still thought she was pregnant but didn't bother going back to the Drs till she started to show!!

I'm glad we have all these early tests, we drive ourselves mad enough as it is .

Bucky2008 · 07/04/2008 12:38

Ei are you just using your temps to establish ov day or are you using OPKs? Could it be that you had an unovulatory cycle? I truly hope you get a belated BFP, but in the absence of DG I am attempting to think of what could be causing the delay if not pgcy.
