hatty - you need these chic yet naughty knickers for tonight.

tinkerbell - hyello there - any symptoms to report?

ei - DH's swimmers do need zimmers . They are too few and feeble at the moment, but hopefully a strict remine of vitamins and banning the demon drink will sort him out.

DH still hasn't got his test results back!! How hard can it be???!! Oh and DH's appointment at the GP is on WEDNESDAY now, not Monday. I smell a rat - I think DH forgot to book an appointment and has been fibbing to me and Wed was the earliest he could get when he remembered!!!

JollyBear · 27/03/2008 13:20

ei That is the system in the jollybear household too . I thought I'd read that an 'O' afterwards is better but I am concerned it might also send it towards the exit! Sorry for the TMI people!! Good chart there ei! Fingers crossed.

bucky How exciting! How are you going to keep them apart when she comes into season again? Are you planning puppies?! Are they both Alsations?

GG Any news on your DH's results?

tinker We are nearly cycle buddies! You are obviously no where near me, the sun is behind a massive black cloud.

Good luck to all those approaching testing/AF! We are on a roll as tinker says. We don't want any more AFs on the 2WW thread!!

JollyBear · 27/03/2008 13:23

Oh cross-posted GG. How very ! Honestly, how these tests can take so long is beyond me!

mibbes · 27/03/2008 13:23

GG PMSL at swimmers with zimmers !
Ei at you getting sorted out ! LOL Temp rise looks promising
JB I usually have a few earth movements during the 'act' and always before DP does his bit . One thing I did notice after what I assume to be the crucial BD was that although it was mid-morning and was unable to lie down, no swimmers came back down - so they all headed on in there
hatty yum menu sounds fab - go for onion tart
Bucky how exciting getting a new doggy ! I'd love one but we are at work all day and I'd be too sad to leave it alone. Headache is a promising sign, fingers crossed ! How many dpo are you ? and I'd love to meet you ladies in RL but am up here in Bonnie Scotland so no chance - Fairy we can do an exclusive Scotland meet-up for 2
Scary love your post (except the birth trauma bit - yikes )

GryffinGirl · 27/03/2008 13:31

jolly - I can't understand it either!! The hospital have to run the test/examination or whatever within 30 minutes of DH doing the deed in the wanky porn room with all the free copies of Razzle, so I really can't understand why it takes 3+ weeks for the results sheet to travel 3 miles from hospital to GP surgery. I am really about this now. We are going precisely nowhere towards seeing a fertility specialist. Grrr!

JollyBear · 27/03/2008 13:49

GG It is crap! Especially as your GP can't interpret the results anyway . I'm not surprised this has knocked your happy mood.

Sorry but I LOL at your description of the porn room as 'wanky'! What better adjective could there be .

ShakeysGirl · 27/03/2008 15:27

Congratulations Scary! Still no sign of af here, cd 43 i think. Did a test last night that i found down the side of the bed which was negative although i thought i may have seen a really really faint line so took the test apart and discoved it was just a white/grey strip, the bit that changes colour if you are pg iyswim. At least my eye sight is half decent lol i still have no symptoms at all. Good luck to everyone x

tinkerbell2 · 27/03/2008 16:41

afternoon have done all the cleaning ye can relax here
hi gg period just about to finish so no symptoms only normal cramping.
good luck sg

beaniesteve · 27/03/2008 16:46

Congratualetions Scary.

My Fertility monitor has arrived which is good as it'll give me something to do while I get through being annoyed that my late period wasn't a baby.

True to form I have been irritable all day. It was nice not having the during menstrual tension I usually have, even if it's only been delayed by a week

PicknMix · 27/03/2008 16:50

Wow!! Scary I am soooooooooooooo pleased for you

GG such rubbish Dr's! I am very (still) on your behalf.... It must be so frustrating knowing that you just need these results and then things can start to move forward. I would be inclined to go into the dept where the test was carried out and just wait until they gave me an answer (but maybe I'm just antagonistic and bolshy!). Not long til the wed appt now though I guess.

Bucky - Finn dog sounds like he's doing very well! I have tried to teach my house rabbit some tricks but it doesn't seem to be all that successful (he has mastered the art of using a litter tray so should be grateful for that I guess!). I live on the south coast so would be up for a meet sometime soon in London if you're happy organising something?

Hatty I am of your night away! Hope you have a fab time - I went away with DH recently for a night to a beautiful hotel, ate so much wonderful food that the saucy undies didn't get a look in, fell into a contented food fuelled slumber as soon as our heads hit the pillow!!

Your symptoms are sounding pretty good Ei

Lovely to see you MTW hope all is going well with you? x

Hope you're ok Tinker and MOB

What happened to ClairePO? Did she pop back in again??

Can't believe we've had two bfps in just one day - fantastic - congrats again Mibbes and Scary!

Ohh, whilst I'm here, was quite surprised that DH mentioned (on the phone - he's still in Canada) that maybe he should get his swimmers checked out (no prompting from me!). Think maybe spending time with his sisters kids is bringing it all home to him....

PicknMix · 27/03/2008 16:52

Crossed posts Beanie - pleased to hear your fertility monitor has turned up. You'll have to let us know how you get on with it (I think it was MTW who got hers and got a bfp in the 1st momth using it?)

beaniesteve · 27/03/2008 16:56

Let's hope that happens to me
Glad to hear your DH is considering having a check done

GryffinGirl · 27/03/2008 17:32

picknmix - I am as bolshy as you . Trouble is DH would not appreciate me wading in. It needs to be the softly softly approach. he is being a typical man whose veritlity is questioned and he would go mad at me interfereing, so I have to sit on my hands for now. I know what you are saying though - it did cross my mind to drag DH to the hospital. Doubt they would give the results to me (probably say "data protection" yawn!)

tinkerbell2 · 27/03/2008 17:57

i have just bought a forehead thermometer on ebay and have logged onto fertilty friend as soon as therometer arives can start finding out whats going on

ScaryHairy · 27/03/2008 21:47

JB I think the O was before (by not very long) DH made his contribution. This has been a most strange few days and I am never going to look at my period in the same way!!

Bucky and GG I would love to meet up, especially if there is any chance of a GG dance demonstration!

Tinkerbell you are so lucky having JB for a cycle buddy - she is the luckiest cycle buddy ever I think...

Those symptoms look good Ei

Good luck with the monitor Beanie. I've heard they work very well.

Good for your DH, getting checked out Picknmix

Hope everyone else is ok, mob, hatty, MTW, DG, Shakey and anyone else who I've forgotten, who pops in occasionally or who lurks!

I called the GP today to ask for an appointment. They couldn't decide who I should speak to and put me through to a midwife who couldn't grasp that I had a bleed and since them am pregnant. She seemed to think that I must have been pregnant, had a miscarriage and that my BFPs were from left over hormones. I would buy that except I had a BFN the day before the bleed started. All very wierd. She's asked me to go in tomorrow for another pee test, as if one was needed (I've done 5!! ) but I don't see where that will get me. I shall ask to see a Dr while I am there as I am not really sure how pregnant I am. She was also completely bemused by the fact that I had done a pregnancy test on what appears to be CD7. I explained about temping but she clearly didn't know what I was on about. I predict that a month from now I will have given up on the NHS and booked into the Portland!

EiWishFor3MoreWishes · 27/03/2008 22:03

hey scary bloody NHS are crap recently up here aswell!! i had my GP appointment to ask about my low temp and a few other minor things and he told me that there was absolutely no evidence to suggest that an underactive thyroid can affect TTC in any way!! this was after i told him i had done my research and been advised by a few 'experts' in the feild he was a locum and therefore an idiot!!(IMO anyway)
he seeme dto assume i was asking for fertility help when i was asking for a repeat thyroid blood test he said it takes most people years to get preg and i should try for a while longer uuummmm i wasnt asking for ivf i was asking to check my thyroid bloody GP!! he made me feel stupid just for asking!!
ah well enough ranting rom me i hope you get a bit of better advice tomorrow or if not that you have a nice time at the portland hotel hospital

God, it's awful isn't it?

I did have a really good gp and a great HV in Fulham, but I have no idea how to go about getting decent care where we live now. My experience when I had my DD was awful, so I really need to see a consultant soon to work out what my options are and then to hire additional help (private midwives, the Portland etc) as appropriate. But today I didn't even manage to get a GP's appointment which is what I called up for!! Ha ha, maybe it's not the NHS, maybe the problem is me!!

ScaryHairy · 27/03/2008 22:09

Oh, and I hope you get your thyroid test soon. How low are your temps?

EiWishFor3MoreWishes · 27/03/2008 22:24

they are normal ish now post Ov but pre Ov they were in the mid 35's which according to my research is not a good sign for keeping a preg going after conception. i told this to the gp and he shrugged it off as if i know nothing
was your labour etc really awful mine wasnt what i had planned but it wasnt too bad all things considered.
i hope you get things sorted soon

spotted mibbes on the due in dec thread and realised how much I've missed this week!!!

CONGRATULATIONS
to both mibbes and scary!!! what fantastic news!!!

Looks like being JB's cycle buddy is certainly good luck, perhaps some of that luck should be reserved for yourself JB .

I must say I've just read the last 100 posts and you girls have had me laughing out loud!

I loved bucky's story, the TTC threads were the first place I came to on MN. I can't believe I've been on here since last summer.

All's well in the digihouse. Digibean is cooking nicely, has been no trouble at all since the rocky start. mibbes and SH seems like implantation bleeds are more common than not!

Big waves to Hatty, GG, PnM, coolkat, MOET and PsychicEi

EiWishFor3MoreWishes · 27/03/2008 22:46

hey DG great to see all is well with you and your little bean

scary - I only do the TTC dance for very special people, so i think you qualify scary m'deae!!!! grin]. Please join bucky, DG, me and anyone else for a meet up!!!!

AF has still not arrived properly in the gryffin house and I was BAD tonight and drank too much wine, but after 16+ months and DH's results I have decided to throw caution to the wind

Madoldbird · 28/03/2008 07:30

Morning everyone! Another quick post before long boring day of meetings.

Bucky so pleased DP has booked appt.

GG No wonder you are cross! Seems to be taking for ever for you. DH is fine thanks, fully mended, and getting a new car in a few days. Other person admitted full liability.

hattyyellow hope you had a wonderful night!

EI things looking promising!

JB LOL at you not tiring DH out before crucial time!

Scary What have you done to us??! Now we'll never believe BFN / AF arrival!

Picknmix your DH has obviously been really thinking about things.

DG Hi! glad everything is going well.

I'm sure i've missed people out, so hello to everyone else!

Not much happening here. DH asked last night if i "felt" pregnant?? He is going to be v disappointed this time i think. Really got his hopes up already. I still had some EWCM yesterday, so now panicking we missed the egg, even though my cervix is low and closed. I think this cycle is completely messed up, TBH. Can't wait to get it over with and a have a more normal one next time.

I would be up for a meet-up, as i am in Kent. I'm terrified, though, as i visualise you all as gorgeous, glamerous women, and i really am a maold(fat&frumpy)bird!!!!

ScaryHairy · 28/03/2008 07:39

It wasn't that terrible, Ei, but I was very afraid and that is what has stayed wth me. Mid 35s does seem a bit low, I hope you get it sorted soon.

Unfortunately things don't look great for me. I am still cramping, something in my tum feels wierd and my temp has dropped to 36.6. I'mm off to pee on a stick at the GP today, bu really I want to speak to a Dr about the wierdness going on I think. If tests are still positive in a week I will be wanting a scan. I might not be about too much in the next few days as this is making me very stressed but will check in and let you know what's happening once I know.

Occasional caution throwing a good thing, GG, lots of babies have been conceived after a night on the sauce.

Hi to everyone else, I hope you are well.

tinkerbell2 · 28/03/2008 08:20

morning mob and sh sh sorry about drs and midwife being useless good luck with sample
