Scary posted for you on your 3ww thread ! This is so exciting, how many dpo were you when 'AF' arrived ? You may be one of the few who continue to have AF while PG ! ooohhh am on the edge of my seat - go and buy a test for the morning if you don't have a stash

ScaryHairy · 26/03/2008 20:37

I was 15 dpo when I started bleeing. Looking at it now, my temps never dipped below the cover line, even though I had 5 days of bright red bleeding complete with clots.

I am totally stunned.

My mother carried on getting her period when she was pregnant with me and with my brother, so maybe I am the same.

mibbes · 26/03/2008 20:41

Am so pleased for you missus - hurray for finding that freebie CBD, I bet you are glad you complained to CB now - but hey the test was correct all along

ScaryHairy · 26/03/2008 20:50

I still maintain that those tests were faulty!!

Gosh, ei is never going to let me live this down!

EiWishFor3MoreWishes · 26/03/2008 21:12

You really are Ei.
Thank God my veiny boobs aren't for nothing!

MadOldEasterTurkey · 27/03/2008 06:50

Just getting ready to go off to work, but popped in quick to check for news, and wow scaryhairy can't believe it!!!! So very pleased for you. So who's next?! Come on ladies, we're on a roll.

Good morning everyone else. Out and about today, so won't be around, but hope you all have a good day. X

ScaryHairy · 27/03/2008 07:42

Thanks MOET. It's a bit of a shock. DH has sensibly decided to wait a couple of weeks before getting too excited.

I've just been thinking that it is just as well that I chart my temps, otherwise I would have no idea that I could be pregnant and would have proceded with "operation get totally hammered" this Saturday night!

I'm going to go see the Dr pretty soon - next week maybe - as I think I might need an early scan to figure out what on earth has gone on, what caused all that bleeding and what my dates are.

Have a lovely day everyone, can't wait to see who's next . Have we ever had 2 on the same day from this thread before?

Not much work is going to get done today!

07mumstheword · 27/03/2008 08:40

Just so much to catch up on it's impossible but I had to say congratulations to Mibbes

And Scary congratulations to you too

I know you'd all desperately wish to move on to an ante-natal thread but when I come back to the 2WW thread (all be it has had various names!) there is such a warm feeling, I do miss you lot. Bucky GG Hatty Mrsei Jollybear picknmix to name but a few (sorry if I've missed anyone out). I do hope you all get your BFP's soon.

mibbes · 27/03/2008 09:26

Aahh thanks MTW, ti is lovely of you to keep popping back - I'm never leaving this thread, am too comfy now ! Let us know how your scan goes in 2 weeks

Bucky2008 · 27/03/2008 09:33

Aw O7MTW nice to see you back

Scaryhairy shock . I am a little lost though, obviously congratulations are in order but did you do another test after your post where you saw a feint line? Anyway, I am really pleased for my old cycle buddy.

DP booked the appointment (the Botox thread obviously did the trick ) 8 April at 8.30am...ages away.

GryffinGirl · 27/03/2008 09:46

Good morning everyone!

This is a lovely happy thread today . I can't believe we have more wonderful BFP news for Scary. It's brilliant for you! HUGE CONGRATULATIONS!!! I have performed another of my special dances round the office for you this morning scary, 'cause I didn't want you to feel left out after did my TTC Dance for mibbes . It's sort of like the David Brent Dance, only better

Woweee ladies, we are on a BFP roll! Who is next? We were due lots of BFP's after a long drought and now mibbes and scary are off to join the Due in Dec thread! Ahhhh

Bucky - ahhh, the history of the 2ww thread. The have been some illustrious members on this old thread and soem very notable graduates. DG was our temping and charting guru and we miss her. I had quite forgotten my Cannon Street Defective Test - I have boycotted that Boots ever since even for a bottle of Frizz Ease I was desperate for last week. I walked to Superdrug in the rain just to show them they can't mess with GryffinGirl and her Clear Blue Fairy . Ha, I don't think I'll ever graduate at this rate what with DH's swimmers needing zimmers to get out the starting box. In years to come I'll be the batty old biddy who hangs round the TTC boards dispensing folic acid and sage advice on sperm counts .

D'ya know, I think all this success calls for a thread meet up some time.....??

hello to 07MTW - it's been ages. It's great to have you back!!!

hatty - how are you today?

jolly - it would be bliss if we all got BFP's for a December due date. That would be perfect.

BIG hello to MrsEi, Picknmix Shakeysgirl beanie and everyone else.

And now for the me me me me bit . Well, although I claim to have stopped counting (well, to DH anyway) I am CD28 today and with my clockwork cycle you could set your watch to, I'm getting the usual ominous mild cramping down there indicating, no doubt, that AF is on her way to catch another perfectly good pair of M&S-ers. Sooooo, I am on knicker watch today . Nothing in the way of blood yet, but it will come. AF arriving with her usual "TA DAAAAA!" is hardly bl**dy surprising in the circumstances, so i don't know why i get all het up with PG symptom spotting and finger crossing that it will be my month. BUT I really can't help it. Every month I get my hopes up only for them to come crashing down. It's very hard, isn't it. I don't think it will ever be my month .

But enough of such gloom

BuckY - cheer me up with news of Finn's training exploits .

mibbes · 27/03/2008 09:54

GG it is like the good old days with all the old faces popping back (obviously I don;t mean as in ancient I mean as in familiar !) Whe do you get DH's results, is it next week ?

GryffinGirl · 27/03/2008 09:54

oooh, forgot to say hello to *madoldbird8 - what's happening with you m'dear? Is your fully mended after his accident? I hope so

Bucky - brilliant news about Mr Bucky booking his appointment (BuckyBloke? ). Does he get the results quickly? DH's next round is on Monday, after that we will have our chat about going private to a fertility specialist. He hates to be rushed into things and would dig his heels in, so I have bitten my tongue this far.
p.s. - you don't need Botox!!

GryffinGirl · 27/03/2008 10:01

x-posts with mibbes, sorry m'dear - you are absolutely right. It is lovely to have everyone here . I am in a very happy mood today despite depressing imminent arrival of AF because it is sunny outside, I am going on a diet (I resolved to do so at 8am this morning and be lythe and damn gorgeous by the first week in June) and there are lots of lovely BFP's for wonderful ladies on here.

DH has his follow up appointment on Monday. I'll get him to brave the scary receptionist and call the surgery at 3 seconds past noon today for his results. Hopefully they are there - they were all delayed because the lab technicians go on holiday for weeks over Easter . He did the last test on 7th March, so it's about time we got them back.

hattyyellow · 27/03/2008 10:26

Scaryhairy!! Congratulations!!! That's such exciting news . I think? Slightly confused by your post! It doesn't take much to confuse me nowadays though!

GG hoping you have somehow got AF symptoms wrong. And that Mr GG gets some better news from the docs this time.

Bucky fingers crossed for your husband's appointment too.

I officially don't know what cycle day I am on, that clearly will lead to a BFP this month and I will join Mibbes and Scary in the December club. Very excited about our night away tonight, in a hotel with no small children, dinner and a bar and everything.

I am so sad that I have already looked at the menu online and worked out what I would like to eat! Yum.

Do you reckon the Three Onion and Parmesan Tart or Smoked Trout with Lime Vinaigrette to start?

GryffinGirl · 27/03/2008 10:38

hatty - have you got your saucy underwear looked out for your night away

ooooh, definietly the three onion tart (gryffin's mouth watering at the thought of it) washed down with LOTS of French fizzy stuff (also on the off chance you are PG - everyone seemed to get PG after a night of incautious drinking )

JollyBear · 27/03/2008 10:50

Oh wow scary! That is great news!! Congrats! I told you being my cycle buddy was lucky, I can work my magic in only seven days . Roll up, roll up to be my next cycle buddy!!

hatty Oooh I think the trout sounds very nice . Have a lovely time. Hope the man-flu has gone.

GG You sound in a good mood for someone expecting AF, that could be a symptom.... In the Zita West book I've just got, there is a big section on male sperm and how to 'improve' it. I don't know how effective her suggestions are (mainly a zillion vitamins, no booze, no caffine etc) but it might be worth a read.

bucky Glad the appointment has been made. How did it go with your new dog Molly? Has she arrived yet?

MOB Enjoy your day out and about!

MTW Great to see you. Glad all is well with you.

mibbes LOL at "slippery wipe" too! Feeling pregnant yet?!

CD8 here so still v boring! AF still hasn't quite gone so can't get any bd practice in yet. Oh well, best not start too early and tire DH out!!

hattyyellow · 27/03/2008 11:11

pmsl! Maybe the reason I'm not pregnant is because my first thought is what I'm going to eat on our night away rather than what colour undies I'm going to be flaunting later!

ScaryHairy · 27/03/2008 11:52

Hi everyone

For those of you who I have confused with my rantings, here's what happened?

10-14 dpo: Clearblue tests give a pencil-like vertical line which Clearblue assure me is not a positive. I rant and demand they send me a digital. First Response and Boots all negative. Boobs look a bit veiny, and I have period-type cramps and back ache but that is all.
15 dpo: period arrives, appears normal and stays for 5 days. Temp dips a bit.
16 dpo: temps are still low, but not below the cover line. I assume this is residual progesterone.
17 dpo: temps start to creep back up.
20 dpo: period stops and I start getting mild headaches
22 dpo: temp hits 36.8 - which is a normal luteal phase temp for me. I start to think I might be lacking estrogen or have a thyroid problem which needs to see a Dr, so I do a Boots test, which came out positive. I posted a thread on this last night ("Could I be pregnant? Is there such a thing as a 3WW?"), as I was so utterly, utterly shocked. Then I located the CB digital they had sent and lo and behold it agreeds. Three more tests done this morning say the same thing .

I think it must be due around 26 November, although if I go for a VBAC I guess it will be late so a December baby.

Things I did differently this cycle:

Less sex (would you believe it, only the once during my fertile window) but I must stress that (ahem) the earth moved during it, and I have read that can help.
DH and I have both taken Zita West vitamins
Acupuncture
Meditation for relaxation and to help me get over my leftover fear from my daughter's birth
No alcohol at all, except for the last week when I assumed I was not pg and drank a bottle of wine...

It's nice to see you back MTW. I am never going to leave this thread either. All those "Due in November" women will be friends already and I don't want to be the new girl again.

JB you are the best cycle buddy ever!

Thanks for the dance GG (I hope your trainee hasd recovered) and I am wishing for December babies for you all.

Bucky good news about Buckybloke's appointment.

Hatty I wouild have the trout. In fact, can I come too?

Have a lovely day MOB

And sorry for the mammoth post! Lots and lots of luck to you all!

EiWishFor3MoreWishes · 27/03/2008 11:59

morning ladies
hope you are all ok

iv got some symptoms to share ladies
heartburn, frequent weewee's, headaches, cramping, and then this morning my temp went up alot compared to normal and i am not ill anymore or anythin!!! look look look
GG sorry you think AF is on her way but as the saying goes... its not over til the fat red hairy bitch flows (also i dont know whether it was meant to be funny but i had a little at the spermies with the zimmers)

JollyBear · 27/03/2008 12:03

scary That is such a heartwarming story!! Congratulations again . No one on this thread is going to believe a BFN and start of AF every again though! I know I will be clutching at straws for much longer now .

May I be personal? Did the earth move before or after your DH had made his contribution?! I've often wondered if having an orgasm afterwards might force it back out IYSWIM .

hatty LOL at the meal before undies! Those would be my priorities too, although I'd be thinking about the pudding!

EiWishFor3MoreWishes · 27/03/2008 12:17

JB i have read that it is better to 'O' after DH does as the cervix acts as a suction on the 'deposit' and sucks it into the uterus!! i always try and get DH to 'sort me out' after him not that that has worked yet like but its worth a try

Bucky2008 · 27/03/2008 12:31

Oooh Scary how exciting . This is such a shiny happy thread today and with the sun out too....

Hatty I vote onion tart....but then I have an obsessive love of onion. Go figure.

GG Finn was very very well behaved at dog school. Although DP informed me that I was very bossy and did not let him do anything in class. On reflection it is true so I have to buy him a cake or something to make up for it on the way home . We have decided to go with a basic 'wave' and 'ask' (which is basically a politically correct 'beg') for exam tricks. Jollybear Molly has still not got her 'period' as DP puts it...we have to wait for her to come out of season before we can have her home with Finn. Although every trainer and their brother seems to be trying to get us to get Finn neutered right now and I just don't want to. He was put on this earth in nadgers and should be allowed to keep them. . And given that DP is going to have his checked out this is a particularly sensitive subject!!

I have a headache AGAIN today although not so bad as the other day...weird.

Re GGs meet up suggestion. I think this is a good idea. I am meeting DG for a coffee (decaf and a herbal tea for DG) today so will let you all know how she is getting on. If GG,DG and I had never met I would not have such nice new friends! So those of you who aren't too far from London, let us know if you are interested. I will quite happily sort a date out etc.
