Great news Fairy - am so pleased for you

twinklingfairy · 15/03/2008 14:31

at detailed report.
I have been trying to rack my brain for anything we did differently.
We only BD on CD15 cos cervix was high, soft and open. Had had watery CM on CD14, got EWCM on CD15, so grabbed DH.
Hope not TMI, but it was..um,er...
Having found trying to find my cervix, earlier in the month, difficult on previous months. My cervix seems to point towards my bottom. I had decided that that would be the best way for maximum projection ( again)
In hind sight DH and I have decided that that was how we concieved DD too

OV was early this month too, norm not until CD17.

Temping was best for me, along with Cervical pursuits and EWCM spotting.
I used the opks in earlier months to help me understand my cycle, then stopped once I felt I knew my body well enough.

I was also not fussy about getting a BFP this month, which I hate, cos I soooo hate when people tell you it will happen when you stop trying etc etc

So the opks were good, but not doing them definitely takes the pressure off trying, but I couldn't have done without temping and wish I had started doing that earlier.

So were they words of wisdom or just fairy rambling again?

Oh, I nearly forgot, I am sure I got implantation pains around 7dpo. Felt like ov pains and my temp went down for a day or two.

And, as you know(cos I told you yesterday), I norm get spotting a day or so before AF, so that was a major indication that there might be a chance of a BFP.
Oh and sore boobs, but not all the time and the are not sore to touch, just now and again they get like someone is taking a big pinch of them.
Felt hungry yesterday when I am not normally hungery by that time of day. Same again today.

Now that really was a ramble, oops sorry

beaniesteve · 15/03/2008 14:36

very interesting I just had a copy of 'taking charge of your fertility' delivered from ebay. Am going to start temping if I am not pregnant this cycle.

Interested in the boobs thing, what is it really like?

twinklingfairy · 15/03/2008 14:50

beanie I thought the boobs would feel like it does when the milk comes in, as if someone is trying to push the whole thing from the inside, off your chest entirley.
But instead it feels as if someone is holding onto your boob, like either side and pinching their fingers in. So slight pressure on top, or up near the armpit.
Or poking you. Right now it is as if someone is poking me on each boob just down for my armpit.
Not totally uncomfortable or painful, just a bit odd and distracting.

mibbes · 15/03/2008 16:52

Hmmm very interesting Fairy. I have not been able to find cervix myself so maybe it is in a funny position and I also need to be a bit more 'adventurous' with BD positions . Do you think perhaps FIL will still take you on holiday ? If you don't want to travel far/fly, maybe somewhere closer to home ? Ooohhhh it is all so exciting . Have you chosen your pram ? I know you love looking at all the different ones !

beanie enjoy TCOYF it is really good and gave me so much useful info. Some of the pictures give me nightmares though !! Temping is definitely a good idea as gives a clear idea of what is going on and if you suspect problems you can go to GP armed with evidence like I did . Although hopefully it won't come to that with you and you'll get BFP next week

Anyone 'seen' Ei ?

EiWishFor3MoreWishes · 15/03/2008 19:43

hey ladies
i said it on the other thread but WWWWOOOOOOHHHHOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! TF amazing news on your BFP im soooo happy for you i knew you would be this month EXCELLENT NEWS!!!!
mibbes im here hunny how are you?? my temping attempt seems top be going well although i seem to be quite low as the norm for me so i dont know whether that is a bad thing for TTC or not i seem to be 35.81-36.13 up to now ah well wel see if it makes any difference during the cycle me and DH are BDing every 2-3 days and i hope this cycle gives us more of an insight into what is going on in there

Hi everyone, i'm on day 32 now of a usual 36ish day cycle and yesterday i thought af had arrived but it only lasted an hour? Any thoughts? Apart from that i've been a bit emotional but no other symptoms at all. Haven't had a lot of sex this month with flu etc so am not expecting a bfp. Congratulations Fairy :-) and good luck to everyone else testing. I am making a big effort to only post here a couple of times a cycle as everytime i read this thread my boobs start to hurt lol

EiWishFor3MoreWishes · 15/03/2008 21:50

shakey it could be implantation or pre AF bleeding (hope not though) and i think it is a symptom of this thread about the achey boobs i tend to get them too like joggers nipple but with typing...
i think i need like a sports bra to help my baps cope with the constant vigorous typing action
xx ei xx

OP posts:
twinklingfairy · 15/03/2008 22:05

LOL at sports bra for typing Ei your mad!

Feeling woried now and I am sure I ought not to. There I was worrying about temps not going up. I think the may just have stabalised at about 36.75 ish, so thank you mibbes for calming me
But now I go to the loo and brown gloop Whhhhhy!?
Boobs now achy all the time, so that is reassuring, but I have a desire to do another test every morning just to make sure it is still there.
Brown is ok though, yeah? It's old, it will just be from the implantation, won't it?
Help!
Poor DH has lost his high too, I feel awful, I shouldn't have told him, but I kinda had to. He was so desperate to tell his dad!
scary CB, how you doing, you still hanging in there, you must be due to test soon?

I am so sorry for being all me me me today

Hope you had a lovely birthday hatty I would love to have a glass of wine, but had one last night, so ought not to have much more for a while. Chocolate all wrapped up, from your girls, sound so lovely. How sweet I always imagine that to be their names

ShakeysGirl · 15/03/2008 22:06

I've never had pre af bleeding i dont think and this was over 24 hours ago so hopefully not connected. It was about 10 days after i should've Ovulated but i'm not always regular so its anyones guess! Its not often i can say a thread makes me feel sick but... lol

EiWishFor3MoreWishes · 15/03/2008 22:24

TF brown is old blood so not something to worry unduelly about IMO it could be your little bean snuggling in for the long haul fingers crossed take it easy and get those feet up
shakey if your bleed was approx 10DPO it could well be implantation when are you testing?? i would be really surprised if you got a BFN as it sounds really promising ooooh so exciting

OP posts:
ShakeysGirl · 15/03/2008 22:45

I'm not planning on testing for another couple of weeks cause i can't afford to buy loads of tests and would get totally carried away and obsessive then be gutted when af arrives. I've had awful nightmares over the last couple of weeks and migraines the last few days so don't need anything else to lose sleep over! :-) even if i did get a bfp i wouldn't tell dp until i was 12 as with his low fertility and the risk of mc before then he would be devasted if it all went wrong iyswim. Big IF tho :-)

ScaryHairy · 16/03/2008 08:24

Hi - *TF I agree, brown blood is old, and could be implantation.
Hope yours is implantation too Sakey.

I did another test yesterday - also neg - and now am holding off to see what my temps do. I am either 11 or 13 dpo today, very crampy for the last few days, and my temps are still up.

I guess tomorrow I'll know either way.

mibbes · 16/03/2008 08:27

Sorry you got BFN SH, sending you heat vibes to keep that temp high

mibbes · 16/03/2008 08:29

Sorry Fairy I thought I'd responded to you last night. Brown is fine and sore boobs a good sign . posted in Emmsy's waiting room about temps for you. xx

pinkgirl30 · 16/03/2008 08:39

morning ladies

beaniesteve · 16/03/2008 09:14

morning

how goes it. Funny ache in my stomach, then a trip to the loo which seemed to sort it out. Boobs not doing much now though I ciuld use my nips as pegs at the moment ... 4 days to period day.

hattyyellow · 16/03/2008 09:40

morning girls...fairy congratulations!!!! from my obsessive googling about brown gloop on friday, it sounds like implantation bleeding to me....everything crossed for you

AF arrived properly for me, 2am on the morning of my birthday! Nice!

But had a lovely day and DH has declared today the second day of my birthday so I had a lie in and we're just planning where to go today. Feeling like it's never going to happen babywise, but appreciating what I have got with my little family already.

good luck to all testers and soon to be testers!

pinkgirl30 · 16/03/2008 09:50

morning glad that u had a gr8 bday hy

twinklingfairy · 16/03/2008 11:10

Oh sorry scary for your BFN and you hatty for AF turning up on your birthday what a b*£ch!
Your DH sounds lovely though, Two Birthdays!!

My temp was very near the coverline today.
I took it after getting up for DD, then climbing back into my bed with her. So I don't think it was a good reading.
Also very very bunged up, can barely breathe and throat it so sore

Also had periody type pains

So sure it is not going to stick, it has been too long coming.

But DH has told me to stop stressing and I have put the thermometer into the medicine bag, so no more temping and I am going to try to convince myself that pains are beany burrowing.

Still, feel down though. I should be over the moon.
Curses to MN for filling my head with things to worry about!

EiWishFor3MoreWishes · 16/03/2008 11:48

hi ladies
hope you are all ok
hatty sorry AF turned up for you she is a bitch well and truelly!! lovely of your DH to give you a birthday part deux though
TF i have posted to you on emmsys thread but just thought i would say here please try and stop worrying good idea to put the thermometer away as you could do without that added stress. try and relax it is YOUR turn now try and enjoy it

ScaryHairy · 16/03/2008 13:12

TF the pains could absolutely be beanie burrowing. When I conceived my daughter I was positive my period was coming because I had horrendous cramps from 9 or 10 dpo. I recall DG saying she had the same when she conceived Digibean. So cramps should not worry you, and you shouldn't stress because stressing will not help.

No news here. I still have cramps bit not AF. I've had cramps since what would have been 7-9 dpo this cycle, and now am either 11 or 13 dpo, so will do another test tomorrow if AF hasn't appeared. I do feel terribly liquidy (sorry, TMI) though.

You missed me Ei. Tut tut. .

Hope you're all well
