JollyBear · 14/03/2008 15:10

Sorry mibbes missed your post before. I'm so pleased you ov before your DP went away. Fingers crossed that the relaxed holiday bd'ing did the trick .

pinkgirl30 · 14/03/2008 16:09

so sorry hatty yellow ho we hate that evil witch
sending over lots of smiles to cheer you up

hattyyellow · 14/03/2008 16:13

Cheers girls (although your kindness made me start crying again, I'm so pathetic!)

Have progressed from full on sobbing to feeble snivelling .

Am such a hormonal mess and do not deserve to be so pathetic when I already have two beautiful daughters.

At least I have the internal to look forward to and maybe that will show up what's been going wrong for the last 8 months.

pink any news from you? AF not come yet?

JollyBear · 14/03/2008 16:20

I hope you have a really good birthday hatty with lots of champagne and cake! Yum LOL at looking forward to an internal but I know exactly what you mean .

Have a good weekend everyone!

pinkgirl30 · 14/03/2008 16:38

thanks for asking hatty yellow nope no evil witch for me cd 48
have a great birthday have some cake and choccies for me

mibbes · 14/03/2008 17:34

hatty glad you are feeling a bit better missus. As I said a couple of days ago the internal is nothing to worry about, very quick and very painless. Nowhere nearly as bad as a smear.
IKYM about looking forward to it as I am really squeamish and hate needles but am looking forward to getting bloods taken and scan (whether abdominal or vaginal) as I just want to know what is going on and what can be done to sort me out
Let's hope we both have answers and resoltuions soon xx

hattyyellow · 14/03/2008 17:44

Cheers mibbes you too! Raises champagne glass to positive answers...

Although I'm really really confused now (sorry far too much info alert!)as AF seems to be brown, mucusy and light and not red...is this some crazy implantation bleed or is AF just gearing up to start I wonder?

Can't bear to get my hopes up. And a little worried about how painful these cramps are , far more than normal...oooh, what on earth is going on? Had BFN at 7am this morning on cheapy test but had peed at about 5.30 after getting up to settle one of DD's.

Trying not to think about it! JB and Pink will have a drink for you too tomorrow!

DH has sort of apologised, sent my DD's in to my study (working from home) with bars of chocolate wrapped in birthday paper and singing happy birthday and has got a bottle of my favourite NZ white for me to have a big glass of

PicknMix · 14/03/2008 18:39

Hi guys

Hatty sorry to hear about af - the pain sounds awful (I know how it feels I've been prescribed Mefanamic Acid [appalling spelling, sorry] for my period pain). Glad to hear DH making amends - hope you can enjoy your birthday tomorrow xx

Pink - long cycles are a killer aren't they. I don't know how you stay so upbeat (but its nice that you are!!)

JB in answer to your question (sorry, haven't been on here for a while!) I only have a house bunny - I made a pact (with myself) that I wouldn't bring home all the waifs and strays from our shop! I just make sure they all go to other lovely homes instead!! Still have my fingers crossed for your high temps - that goes for you too Fairy! Ei it can take a little while to get into a routine with temping - I just set my phone alarm to go off every morning at 6.30 so that I never have to think about it. That said, I haven't done it this month as needed a month off.

Sorry about the bfn Scary - tis still early yet though

The reflexology sounds like its doing the trick MOB, hope it sorts out your cycles. Enjoy your afternoon

A big HI to GG and Bucky and Mibbes and Beanie and everyone else I may have missed.

As for me - well, having said I wasn't really bothered this month, AF decided to arrive really early at CD24. To say I was caught unawares is an understatement (my cycle is usually anything from 35 to 50+ days!!). I'm thinking it was prob anovulatory as I have had no pain, no sore boobs, no nothing just AF.

Just a little question for you all. As we never 'did the deed' this month at the 'right' time I wonder if in previous months (when we have bd at the right time) my body has been desparately trying to concieve and failing - hence the sore boobs etc. The only reason I think this is because last yr when I was in Oz for a month it was another month of not trying and the same thing happened (i.e no pain leading up to it, no sore boobs etc). I wonder if my body may be finding it difficult to hold on to pregnancy. Having had 1 miscarriage and 1 chemical pregnancy last year do you think the Dr would listen to my worries if I went to see them? I'm in my 9th cycle now.

beaniesteve · 14/03/2008 19:04

Hi Picknmix

I think your Doctor will (should) listen to your worries. it may be that you are fine and just taking time to catch but with a previous MC and a Chemical pregnancy it can do no harm to go and tell them you want to investigate it further. Someone suggested to me that it's a good idea to go and ask to be referred to a sub-fertility clinic. I don't really know what they are all about but I am guessing they will do tests. Have you had any blood tests or scans?
I've just had blood tests to find out if my hormones are all at the right levels etc and am waiting for a test to come back which was taken on the 21st day of my cycle.

I think the next step is a scan and tehn a test for your partner to check his swimmers are good.

But as I say - it may be nothing, it can take a while to get pregnant. I'm on cycle 6 and still no BFP but am trying to be relaxed. Annoying as it is 'relax' is the most consistent advice I have had.

ScaryHairy · 14/03/2008 19:07

Hattyyellow I do hate TEW. Glad you're feeling a bit more positive - your DH sounds like an absolute star. And the best bit is that you can have a big drink for your birthday! I hope you have a lovely day.

Hi picknmix you might be right about that and the Dr should absolutely listen to your concerns. Is your GP any good? Some are just better than others at this sort of stuff. I have wondered more than a few times whether it is possible that in 8 months of well-timed sex I have not conceived once. Statistically that begins to seem unlikely, assuming that everything is in working order. The good news is that with a short cycle this time you get another go sooner!

Sounds like a well-timed egg Mibbes - lots of luck to you

JB that high temp could be a good thing. Legs crossed!

I hope you've bene dreaming about me Ei

Hi also to Beaniestevie, pink and MOB.

You still about GG? Hope everything's ok.

pinkgirl30 · 14/03/2008 20:11

thanks pnm yep still hanging in on there

beaniesteve · 14/03/2008 21:24

ok - that's twice tonight I have smelt something my boyfriend can't.

Am I just making up symptoms?

twinklingfairy · 14/03/2008 21:30

I did that one month, had amazing smell.
In the swimming pool and could smell the deodorant coming from the mens, when no-one else could.
It is a symptom though, isn't it?

beaniesteve · 14/03/2008 21:41

it is, but I bet I am imagining it, such is life

mibbes · 15/03/2008 08:49

Fairy any news ...? I can't move as I have absolutely everything crossed for you here

twinklingfairy · 15/03/2008 11:00

BFP!
I can't believe it.
But I don't really, my temp is still falling
It was clear as you like though, came up in less than a minute.
Then I humphed and tossed it to DH who said well, then I won't bother looking.
I said, och, just have a look.
Shoulda seen his face

mibbes · 15/03/2008 11:08

OMG Fairy fantastic news !!!
I am so pleased that one of the 'old timers' from the thread has a BFP - HURRAY !
As far as I am aware you should not always see temps rising when PG - only some people get the triphasic rise so as long as above coverline I'm sure all is well with teeny weeny beany
YAAAYYYYYY am over the moon for you, what a great start to the weekend. Let the pram-hunt begin !!!
mibbes xx

madoldbird · 15/03/2008 11:20

WOW fairy!!!!! What wonderful news!!!!! As Mibbes has said (morning Mibbes!) It's extra special when it's an "old timer" BFP Try not to worry about your temp - if the line has come up quick and strong then that's looking good. You do realise, though, that, as with the others, you are not allowed to abandon us yet?! You have to hang around and impart wise words here's hoping some of the rest of us can join you on the ante-natal threads soon.
Hope you and DH have a wonderful day.

Got to rush off, but just wanted to quickly say Happy Birthday hattyyellow hope you have a lovely day, and that you are feeling a bit better. (Stupid, evil, nasty old witch what bad timing.)

Have a good day everyone.

mibbes · 15/03/2008 11:26

oh yes of course, in all the excitement I forgot have a lovely birthday today hatty. Did AF come properly or is it still possible imp ? Either way get the champers out and celebrate. Hope DH and the girls spoil you
Oh and Fairy I want a detailed report of what you did differently and every twinge you have had since conception . We need to data to add to our archives

mibbes · 15/03/2008 11:28

Morning MOB how are things with you lady ?
I am on 4dpo - temps a bit low but not going to worry as long as they stay above coverline.

beaniesteve · 15/03/2008 11:39

Way hay again! Congratulations Fairy. I would like a detailed report too

PicknMix · 15/03/2008 11:54

WOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Fairy that is fantastic news!! So so pleased for you!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Hatty today!!!!

Thanks to Scary and Beanie for you help last night - I think I will go to the Dr just to see what they say. As I've just moved I need to find a new surgery anyway and, having done a bit of research, there is one not far away who has a 'womens heath' expert as one of the senior GP's so think I'll try there first! (my current GP is awful she told me to go home and 'sit it out' when I was having my miscarriage. Didn't refer me, didn't give me any indication over what was going to happen, just said "oooh, thats a shame, go home and if you're still in any pain, come back next week" )

pinkgirl30 · 15/03/2008 13:21

happy birthday hatty
have a great one
congratulations again fairy
