Hey @2021lady I'm really sorry but I can't see it 😥Sorry. I've never had a positive other than on a covid test mind you 😆, so I'm prob not the best person to ask but I can't see anything bar the CT line xx

@2021lady I think I see something suuuuuper faint... not sure if it might be an evap? I've only ever tested when AF didn't appear so been more certain lines. How many dpo are you? I'd leave it a couple of days and test again with fmu. Fingers crossed for you that this is it x

Hi! I feel like I can see some sort of shadow. I've never had a bfp tho and I always convince myself I can see lines. Not sure how reliable I am.. I think as unhelpful as it is, retesting in a couple of days is the only way to really know. Good luck!! Xx

@GCS34 so I started having acupuncture to boost fertility in April 2022. And erm... here I am! 😂 but I'd probably still do it during IVF. I know some people swear by it.
Dunno if you follow Caitlyn O'Neill (fertility/IVF influencer) on tiktok or insta but she is adamant that it help. If nothing else it helps to relax me and I think that can only be a positive! X

Wow I scrolled through comments since I last posted and overwhelmed with mentions of dildo cams and feeling your cervix

I’m now at 11dpo, got a negative test this morning, AP expected Sunday. I’ve got a tiny bit of cramps and slightly sorer boobs, it’s usually a bit early for cramps for me but I’m not sure if I’m imagining them anyway since I’m symptom spotting so much!

The test I did this morning was meant to be 95% accurate 5 days before missed period so does that means it’s probably unlikely to turn out positive later in your experience?

Hahahah! So to give you context @Orangenightie Im currently having fertility treatment, and every 4 days during stimulation I have a scan that is essentially a dildo with a camera on the end, so that is said 'dildo-cam'. Not as exciting as you thought ay 😂My husband however, is FACINATED by watching the screen when it's on which is slightly worrying / disturbing but whatever. 👀I can clarify I have never felt my cervix - i rely on dildo-cam to do that for me 😂

And I wouldn't take the 95% literally. After I pulled apart a PT to see if it 'really was negative or a faulty test' (yes that's what it came too!) I then went to research the stat, and it's 95% accurate if you do it the day after your missed period. Aka Monday for you xx

@dabs9 Ah! Not the biggest advocate then! 😂Yeah I think it's something I'm definitely interested in. I had it before for my knee after I had knee surgery and it was still causing me aches and inflamation, and it stopped it literally right away. I am looking her up on insta now! Thanks xx

@GCS34 I had it around my shoulder and neck too and it worked after the first session. So defos think it's worth trying!

I'm so irritated. Just called our clinic to try and arrange a self funded SA for my husband and the receptionist was so patronising. Telling me that if the Dr had been concerned they would've referred him for another. Yes lady I know that... but he had it 12 months ago and his morphology was not very reassuring and I'd like another for peace of mind that it's not gotten worse!
Anyway.. they won't do it. Said we're either NHS or self funded and can't do bits of both which is fair enough... I'll look at private clinics that offer it.
Just being told the Dr would have referred if concerned... Honestly I'm not sure I particularly trust NHS systems and feel they do the bare minimum to pacify us again and again. 😖

I echo @dabs9 on acupuncture @GCS34 I started it last autumn and I just stopped as I realized I’ve just been throwing money around in desperation and I have no idea what it has done or what benefit I’ve had. Some people find it relaxing? I thought the money will be better spent on massages.

I have woken to proper flu and a high fever so been sleeping all morning. Ugh. I am a sweaty mess!

@dabs9 Thats so annoying, I thought it was normal to repeat it as a lot can change in a few months with sperm. I don’t know why they won’t just accept money for that though! The private place in Glasgow has a satellite clinic in Dundee.

No update on gynae phoned doctors to check how long they can take they said weeks so there's lovely 😂xx

So annoying! I've read a few threads where people have said their partner has it repeated after a few months but nope... not here.
And thinking about it.. I'm sure his concentration was 16million/ml which although is considered normal I think it's only just within the normal range. Urgh it's all so frustrating.

That's awful! Was it the NHS Clinic you phoned for tests? The range for concentration is considered to have a "low sperm count" if you have fewer than 15 million sperm per milliliter. So yeah he's not below, but as you say, it's a little close to that figure!

Receptionists in general are horrendous - Drs Surgeries, dentists - they have a very high opinion of themselves. If it makes you feel any better, our consultation with the NHS when we were discussing our treatment options once we were approved, the lady asked who we saw at our clinic, and I told her our consultant name and she sniggered and said 'well I trained her to do her job, so you can stay with her if you want, or have it via us here at the center of it' like she was better than them/ I was like geeee woman get over yourself!

@GCS34 I wish I could remember all the levels but I didn't write them down! Defos remember seeing 16mil for something tho.
Just going to be so annoyed if we're waiting so long with low morphology and essentially borderline sperm concentration just to have to start IVF in god knows how long anyway!

As @GCS34 said, anything over 15 mil is fine so I wouldn’t worry too much. You could also get him on a regimen of vitamins/exercise/low caffeine. Sperm changes quite quickly. My husband’s was 18 mil and we were told that’s normal @dabs9
